Leafstar *might contain RoF spoilers*

Oh god, I loved Leafstar in ROF. Quite possibly the best non-Fuzzball supporting character in the book. She was a fair leader to all the cats under her command and you can really see as she tries her best to integrate ShadowClan into SkyClan but just can't succeed because most of the cats in both Clans just don't really want it to happen. She puts up with Rowanclaw and Tawnypelt's casual undermining of her leadership for as long as she can, not to mention Juniperclaw and Scorchfur's outright disrespect, and every time some new shenanigans arise you can just see her thinking "oh my god stop I just fixed the last one. ok whatever here we go again" and ultimately at the end of the book she has just had it with this nonsense and she's like "OKAY TIGERHEART IS BACK HOORAY NOW EVERYONE FREAKING GO HOME ALREADY THANKS".

It's great.

She was so ridiculously patient that I can't even begin to understand how she didn't go off on the former ShadowClan cats! The disrespect from them was friggen ridiculous, and even though there was a moment where she looked shaken/clearly trying to take control back, she still remained firm. I loved when she basically said, "Don't let the thorns at the entrance embed themselves in ya tail on the way out!" and made it clear that they can go if they were so unhappy. I loved that nobody moved to leave, despite wanting to look all tough, as though they were seconds away from walking out before, but faltered when she called them out on it ;p She's become more stern since the SkyClan super editions, and you can tell she truly did learn from her mistakes! I like that she referenced when she allowed Darktail into her Clan and how that led to their downfall, and that she was not willing to let that happen again.

Also, their disrespect is the same reason ShadowClan fell. Unlike Leafstar, the ShadowClan cats never learn.

I really like Leafstar as well. In fact, if I remember correctly, someone once asked Kate who her favourite character in AVOS was and Kate responded with "Leafstar, I think".

Anyway. I second what everyone said. She's so good in River of Fire. She is now one of my favorite leaders in general. She's had a rough life. I hope she gets some peace for once, soon. I still want to see Hawkstar, though.

Sounds like Leafstar's got some nerves of steel in this arc.

Sometimes I would get annoyed with her remarks, but I think about it and I really love her and see where she’s coming from. I mean, I’ve always liked her anyway and even though this seems like a jarring change after everything SkyClan’s been through it’s so REAL.
I wonder if Twigpaw and the ShadowClan cats sort of reminded her of the daylight warriors that abandoned their clan after they were driven from the gorge?
