Like the title says, who do you think the next villain will be? Or what kind of villain do you want to be featured in the next book or arc?

I honestly have no clue. I would like to know, though. Kate seems excited about it.
Edit: I just don't want it to be Shadowkit.

Could be anything. Rogue cats, foxes, badgers, dogs, wolves, Fidel Castro's ghost...anything's possible.
But seriously, I'd probably like a cat who probably wants to completely get rid of the warrior code, since that can bring a sort of semi-meaning to the title The Broken Code.

well so far the villains of the next arc are never hinted at in the previous so it's impossible to know. assuming they have it'll have to have something to do with dove's kits, but they'll probably be the protagonists instead

I think the villain is going to be someone who is an apprentice or young warrior currently, and behind the scenes (or in a pov, who knows), is going to do something to break the code and feel incredibly justified in doing so. Whether it's falling in love with a cat from another clan, or killing someone who harmed them in some way, instead of shoving the issue under the carpet or silently protesting they'll openly rebel against the warrior code and start a "revolution" movement.
They'll be a villain in a sense that they want the clans to be destroyed- cause that's the general qualification for being a villain- but not in a sense that they want them to all, like, die. They want everything- the traditions, the social structures, everything that makes the clans... the clans to be dumped in the trash for the "greater good". So clan cats can be with who they want, do what they want, and just let all hell break loose cause he or she doesn't want to be "wronged by punishment" by then.
What will also make them a villain is they will use violence to achieve their goals. He or she will have a core group of radical supporters who help them run the show while the majority of their supporters are more moderate sympathizers who simply want change. However, they'll be different than Darktail, who was obviously bad. This villain will be, in a lot of ways, "in the right". They won't be clearly evil and will seemingly simply want a different life for the clan cats.
At least, that's what I'd think would be interesting. It wouldn't be the usual separatist movement, but instead, a movement that plagues all the clans, with each clan having its own mini-rebellion with the main villain organizing it.

I feel like maybe they'd bring back Sol for the next arc, as it's called The Broken Code. I feel like Sol would stir up some trouble for the Clans.
