i was working on a project for fun, where i would re-write the entire series timeline from the ancients to the present...and i decided the AU element would be Fire x Silver instead...and some plot changes.

Fireheart falls in the river instead. Silverstream saves him. Graystripe tries talking to Silverstream because she's pretty, but Silverstream is more focused on Fireheart since Fireheart could have died and he was now freezing. She urges them to stay off Riverclan land and that the river was theirs. She then also calms down to tell Fireheart to hurry back to his medicine cat and stay warm and dry. Also in this AU, Cinderpaw is a warrior and never becomes medicine cat. Cinderpaw is jealous that Silverstream and Fireheart had a little moment. Graystripe is jealous of Fireheart because Silverstream didn't notice him, but kept her eyes on Fireheart instead.
Fireheart is oblivious, just like how he is in canon. He doesn't really say much about how pretty Silverstream is, and he is instead focused on exposing Tigerclaw. In my AU, Tigerclaw is exiled waaaay earlier...Which changes a few plot things.
Fireheart runs into Silverstream a while later and he warns her about Tigerclaw and his band of Shadowclan groupies. In the AU, Tigerclaw was already making friends with Shadowclan and plotting to overthrow Brokenstar and insert himself as leader once he was exiled, and Brokenstar was injured/blinded in the Shadowclan ambush to save the kits.
Silverstream is like "ok, i'll let my clanmates know to be more on alert for anyone suspicious..." And Fireheart leaves, thinking how dumb he was for warning her because she was from another clan. He justifies him warning Silverstream because the clans must work together to keep in balance, and what Tigerclaw was planning threatened that balance.
Tigerclaw and his exiled groupies do more attacks on the other clans and stuff to scare them. He plans on using scare tactics to make the other clans first fear him before fully attacking Shadowclan (who is now lead by Nightfur since Brokentail is in Thunderclan being cared for by Yellowfang).
Silverstream stays by the border and waits for Fireheart. Once he sees her while on patrol, he makes an excuse to go talk to her. Silverstream is panicked and she informs him of Tigerclaw attacking Riverclan patrols. Fireheart then asks for her to keep meeting him here by the border so they can exchange info about Tigerclaw's activities.
So, they meet a few time to discuss more events and eventually, they end up talking about one another and themselves. Quite a while later, Fireheart realizes he wants to always protect her, but he knows he can't because they're in different clans. Graystripe and Cinderpaw find out about the two meeting, and GRaystripe and Fireheart have a fight and break off their friendship.
After Thunderclan uses Brokentail as bait, which gets Brokentail killed by Tigerclaw and his groupies, Bluestar asks Fireheart to get help from Riverclan since Tigerclaw's forces are bigger than she thought. Fireheart runs into Riverclan territory and first gets Silverstream. Then Silverstream uses her influence over her father to get Crookedstar to hand over a few warriors to help Thunderclan battle Tigerclaw once and for all.
Fireheart and Silverstream fight side by side, which makes Bluestar suspicious. After the battle, Fireheart and Silverstream talk and confess their feelings and become mates. A while later at a gathering, Bluestar notices Fireheart and Silverstream look at one another. Back at home, Bluestar is like "ik that look, ok? tell me the truth." And Fireheart has no choice but to confess that he and Silverstream are in love and have been talking at the border and exchanging info about Tigerclaw's whereabouts.
Bluestar gives Fireheart the choice. Either he breaks up with Silverstream and go scott free, or she exposes him at the gathering and make him face more severe punishment. Fireheart decides he'd rather break up with Silverstream than ruin the warrior life he was given. He goes and breaks up with Silverstream. Silverstream gets upset and begs him to come to Riverclan with her, and Fireheart refuses. He then asks the same of her, that she join Thunderclan for him, but she also says no. They then break up mutually.
Heartbroken, Fireheart goes and apologize to both Cinderpaw and Graystripe, saying Bluestar made him break up with Silverstream. Graystripe decides to forgive him and be friends again. Cinderpaw is still jealous, however, and she tries to hide it as best she can.
A long time later, Fireheart goes hunting alone at night to clear his mind, when he finds himself at the Riverclan border...He scolds himself and says he should stay away in case he runs into Silverstream again. But then he witnesses Tigerclaw lure in Graypool, an elder, and he is too late to stop him. Tigerclaw kills Graypool after the old she-cat reveals that Oakheart's kits are from Thunderclan and she had kept the secret all these moons. After learning this, Tigerclaw is disgusted and says that Oakheart was a filthy half clan lover. Thinking no one was around, Tigerclaw reveals he was the one to kill Redtail and that he framed Oakheart. Fireheart is outraged at his words and actions and he attacks Tigerclaw. Tigerclaw almost kills Fireheart, but Fireheart is saved by Mistyfoot and Stonefur, who were out looking for their mom, Graypool.
After driving Tigerclaw away, Mistyfoot and Stonefur ask Fireheart what happened to GRaypool. Fireheart tells them the truth, including the part of Graypool saying they were half Thunderclan. Mistyfoot and Stonefur don't believe it, and they question if they can trust Fireheart. Fireheart says they can since he fought with them to drive out Tigerclaw. Mistyfoot tells Stonefur to take Graypool's body back to camp and tell them what happened. She then tells Fireheart, since they are now alone, that Silverstream had kits. Fireheart is shocked and asks about them. Silverstream had three kits: Willowkit, Emberkit, and Stormkit. Fireheart then curses himself because he didn't know she was having kits when they broke up. Mistyfoot tells him she'll tell silverstream that he gives them the best regards. Fireheart asks if he could ever sneak in one night to see his kits. Mistyfoot says no because Silverstream told her she wants to raise them in Riverclan and never tell them about their father.
Distraught, Fireheart confides in both Yellowfang and Bluestar. They both tell him that there was nothing he could do. If he wanted to see his kits, he'd have to beg Crookedstar to join Riverclan and have their forbidden relationship exposed to everyone. Fireheart decides that he wants to stay loyal to Thunderclan. Bluestar then reminds him to stay away from the Riverclan border. Fireheart finds it odd how sympathetic she was towards him about the kit situation...hmm I wonder why.
Of course, Tigerclaw eventually kills Nightfur and becomes the new leader of Shadowclan. His shadowclan groupies become his most trusted warriors in the clan. Tigerstar gets his nine lives, and it's revealed at the gathering. Except Fireheart isn't deputy yet, and it's still Lionheart.
Tigerstar kills Brindleface with the pack of dogs, etc. He also has Darkstripe be his spy and do stuff for him while in Thunderclan, etc.
With the take over of Riverclan by using Leopardstar (Crookedstar dies still i guess), Fireheart wants to rescue his kits since he had found out how much Tigerstar hates half clan cats. Graystripe reminds him that Tigerclaw doesn't know that Silverstream's kits are half clan. However, they spy on Riverclan as Tigerstar questions all the queens about who fathered their kits. Silverstream, who had no one to claim her kits, is then attacked. Fireheart, Graystripe, and Ravenpaw race in to defend them and rescue them.
Silverstream and Fireheart help their kits escape across the border to Thunderclan. Bluestar is then shocked to find out about what Tigerstar is doing. She then expresses worry for Mistyfoot and Stonefur.
Stormpaw, Emberpaw, and Willowpaw ask Silverstream why they were attacked. Silverstream then finally tells them that Fireheart is their father, and that they are half Thunderclan. The kits are shocked and don't know how to react to this.
Fireheart apologizes to them for not being with them. He then promises to be a father now since they moved to Thunderclan. Emberpaw says he wants to go back to Riverclan and help the others. Willowpaw expresses she's more willing to accept Fireheart as her father, while Stormpaw is more quiet.
Bluestar then confides in Fireheart that Mistyfoot and Stonefur were her kits with Oakheart. She then asks Fireheart to go get Whitestorm and Lionheart to make a team of cats to go help Riverclan.
Leopardstar is like "lol no, i chose to team up with Tigerstar. everything is fine." But Fireheart tells the whole of Riverclan that Tigerstar is going to kill half clan cats just for existing. Riverclan is disgusted at this, but they don't do anything because they're scared. They also claim that no one else is half clan.
Tigerstar and his warriors fight Fireheart's patrol. This encourages the other Riverclan warriors to go against Leopardstar and help Thunderclan fight. Tigerstar and his cats leave Riverclan, but promise to be back.
Fireheart then tells Mistyfoot and Stonefur in private that he is taking care of Silverstream and the kits, but he also tells them about Bluestar and Oakheart. They both don't believe him, but then he reminds them to remember Graypool and that this secret was her last words.
