Marble heated up at the touch and her purr got louder. She stood to follow the she-cat, walking beside her but close enough that their fur was brushing together. She felt so at ease around the she-cat and she knew why now too. The feelings that were overwhelming her were love. She didn't know how she could fall in love so fast but it had happened, and Marble was happy for it. She felt that if she told the other she-cat she would never come back again though and so said nothing.

I just joined, but there's a meeting going on- Reedshine is the new deputy and we're still kinda cheering i think?? Also Marble & Mistypool are somewhere hanging out

Marble nodded her head, listening to the she-cat's words. She then caught a scent of mouse and stopped. "I haven't eaten today. Is it alright if I hunt rel quick?" She looked at MistyPool with a kind look filling her eyes and then her stomach growled. She blushed and looked at her paws embarrassed.

The dark-furred warrior sat neatly besides the freshkill pile, hiding under the leaves of a vividly green bushy fern, bathing in shadows, but posed in such a way that the blazing sun rays hit the tip of her paws only, sending a tickling feel of warmth up her skin. She purred as she started licking her shoulder carefully. By the corner of her eye she could see a clear blue sky, and the sun that was starting to rise almightly. Too late for a sunrise, but too early for midday. She looked around, notably bored and hoping someone would interact with her for nothing. She was not one to go out of her way to talk to other cats, so she pretty much just waited for things to happen. After yesterday's announcement of Reedshine being the new deputy, it seemed the camp was brought to life again.
—Agh... Maybe I should just go hunt solo—... She pondered to herself, lost in her own thoughts. She was not the kind of she-cat to fit best on teams anyways.
tl;dr
Russetsongs sits by herself near the freshkill pile. The sky is clear and its inbetween a sunrise and noon. She's waiting for something to happen. |

Marble shifted in her new nest and felt a warm presence by her side. Opening her blue eyes she found MistyPool's sleeping face directly in front of her, their bodies pressed together with their tails slightly twined. She smiled and purred as she collected her thoughts of the previous night. Marble had caught a mouse and had carried it till they made their way toward the rockier areas. They found a cave not long after under a rocky overhang and had shared the mouse before looking for moss and feathers. After making a nest they had sat down to talk and soon after had both fallen asleep. Marble smiled at the memories and then turned her gaze to the cave entrance to see sunlight filtering in.

Ah, sunhigh already. It was an understatement to say that Viperstar didn't appreciate sleeping in that morning. She could rely on a deputy again, for once, to take control of the patrols. She hopped up to the High Ledge to observe how Reedshade was doing in his new position. Honestly, she was just thankful the clan seemed to approve of her choice. As well they should! The clan leader's word was law, and Viperstar would never let anyone forget that.

After the ceremony the day before, Reedshade had diligently arranged patrols for hunting and borders, including the dawn patrol, with some hiccups - he'd assigned one cat not in camp to immediately go out, and had then had to shuffle around the patrols. Having spent the morning working out who to send out on hunting patrols, he'd very almost forgotten the sunhigh border patrol. Standing in the midst of camp, he looked around, picking out cats to head out as soon as possible. He would get used to it eventually, he was sure. "Russetsong," he called, spotting the she-cat by the fresh-kill pile. "Do you want to go on hunting patrol with Bogpaw and I?" he mewed, glancing to spot his apprentice. [ sweetclover1 Felicia ] |

Marble frowned at the loss of their pelts against each other but smiled when she noticed MistyPool was awake. "Hi." She purred and then smiled as she saw how the light filtering in shone on the other she-cat's fur, making her look even more beautiful. The light also seemed to make her eyes glow. "Wow." She thought she had said it in her head.

Marble fought for an excuse but then sighed and buried her head in her nest, her paws covering her eyes. "I said wow cause the sunlight on your fur and eyes made you look unbelievably pretty okay?"

Honestly? Bogpaw couldn't believe it. His mentor was the deputy of Emberclan. Which meant he'd probably be the leader one day and just imagine how cool that would be? The dark brown tom wound't stop talking about it, either, proud of the thought that his mentor had become the deputy. The only thing was that Reedshade had been so busy today trying to manage the clan which meant that he'd have to wait for his lessons for the day. So, instead, he followed his mentor around the entire time like a shadow as he tried to look as "official" as possible. He had his chest all puffed out and tried to help even when Reedshade tried to chase him away. Finally, though, he'd been told that they would be doing a hunting patrol today with another warrior. "Aww, hunting?" The tomcat whined, features twisting up a little, because he never was much good at it. His crouch was still pretty lopsided and he walked too heavily when he stalked his prey.

Turning her head to face Reedshade, she opened her eyes wide, eyelids back to reveal glossy amber eyes. She greeted the tom with a flick of her tail and answered sharply and consistenly like she always did.
—You know I do~—she let go out of her maw, slightly amused by Reedshine's little minion, that, proud as a lion, exaggeratedly puffed out his chest. Russetfur let out a muffled innocent giggle at the apprentices' tone of voice and words. When she was younger, she too used to dislike hunting. She wasn't bad, but it was just boring for her to always do the same.
—I'm sure we're gonna catch something interesting, Bogpaw—. She assured the young cat, standing up quickly. She didn't even bother shake the the dust coat over her fur- It was more like a hunting boost, to be honest.
tl;dr
Russetsong accepts Reedshine's hunt offer, reassures Bogpaw about it, stands up. |

"I don't know if I can believe that" she purred, pressing her nose quickly too the other shecats while they were face to face. She stared into Marble's eyes for abit longer, until she remembered where she was and what the height of the sun meant. Mistypool had been so distracted by the other shecat she had completely forgotten her plan to get back to the clan in the early morning. "Oh Steadman! I was meant to be back by now!" |

Marble purred and was leaning deeper into the other she-cat's warmth when MistyPool suddenly spoke. Her ears perked and she inwardly wished MistyPool didn't have to go. She also cursed at herself for being too scared to tell the she-cat about her feelings. Standing she stretched and let out a long yawn. "I'll walk with you to the border."
