“Simba?” A Maine Coon calls, running along the length of a fence. His gray tabby pelt is bushed against the chilly air and his amber eyes are wide as he runs a little ungracefully. A red collar with a pawprint tag is labeled ‘Cody’ and hangs around his neck. Although he’s much slower than his target, he doesn’t give up. “Simba, stop.”
‘Simba’ turns around, and through gritted teeth, he snaps, “That’s not my name.” He looks almost the same as his pursuer, except for the fluffy mane-like fur around his neck. He shifts on his paws a little awkwardly, but tries to remain intimidating.
“Ares then.” Cody snorts, as if he’s amused by the name, collar jangling. Ares rolls his eyes, and Cody continues. “Can I not check on my favorite, edgy, kitty-turned-rogue brother?” Ares knows there’s no escaping, recognizing the dead-end wall behind him and sighs. “No.” He grunts.
Cody’s eyes soften a little. He was honestly worried for his brother, seeing the scars crisscrossing his frame and pelt hanging off of his bones.

Cody sighs in defeat, after another failed attempt to reconnect with his littermate. He snorts. Ares even changed his name from Simba to uphold his reputation. The tabby shakes his head, but continues walking. Once he gets back to his neighborhood he stops at a fence where he can see five cats sitting atop it. “Hey guys.” He meowed tiredly. “What’s up?”

"Whatever's beyond the neighborhood completely changed my brother." Cody sulked. "We have enough adventure in our streets." He doubted his words a little, after hearing Ares' warnings and especially hearing Ares' adventures.
Scrambing uo the fence, he paused to answer Max's question. "All right, I guess. A little bored."

Cody snorts once again. He knew Ares preferred life as a rogue but he was worried that he’d die on the streets. “You shouldn’t miss him.” Cody mewed lightly. “After he ripped up your peoples’ flowerbeds and kept everyone up at night with his meowing!”
