I know this isn't fancy, I just don't feel like dealing with code right now. Hope it won't scare anyone away, since this is a serious but fun contest that I'm hosting. c:
In this contest, I have picked some different genres that contestants will be working in. There is five, thus there are five rounds. I will reveal each one as you're supposed to be writing them. I expect a small story for each of your entries, each have to be at least 2,000 words. There is no limit of how long it has to be, though please don't give me a complete book! By that I mean don't give me something like 20+ pages, (though I wouldn't mind reading up to twenty.) I will be the only judge, and I will judge on which story I think has the best plot and best developed characters.
Another thing is that I'm asking for you to put your entries in by posting them on a separate thread and giving me the link here! Also, please give me your entry by the due date! I will not accept anything that is put in late, so if you need more time please ask! I will give you up to two days of extra time, though no more as it is unfair to make others wait. If you miss the due date and don't get your entry in, don't despair. I will let you enter the next round.
A few quick rules:
Follow all forum rules! (obviously, hehe) For your writing, I'm asking for no graphic details on any romance you may have in your story or any battles/fighting. If you join, I ask for you to please join all five rounds. If there is any reason you want to drop out, tell me instead of leaving me in the dark! Please have a good attitude! Write 'doodlebug' somewhere in your entering post to let me know you've read the rules.

First and foremost: On Monday evening I will close entries to this contest, if I don't get at least four than I'll leave it open till Tuesday. Please be patient while waiting, and please actually enter! Thanks! c:
To join the contest, just reply to this thread telling me you will. For each round I will give you a week (seven days) to get your entry in! What I want to see in your story is:
Good, unique characters that get at least a little established A unique plot (it doesn't have to be elaborate or complex, though the better planned plot will catch my eye the most) Your best writing Emotions! Pack 'em in, whether its fear, grief or love. x) Of course, do it in your own way. heh.

The rounds:
Round one: Scary/horror - note: I know I say horror, though try to refrain on any gory sort of stuff please! OVER! Round two: Dystopian Round three: ??? Round four: ??? Round five: ???

Prizes:
Each winner of an individual round will receive one drawing with a simple background as a prize. It will be a simple-shaded drawing of either a cat, dog/wolf, or pokemon considering I'm awful at anything else. xD The background will be a solid color. Please request your prize here, on this thread, and give me either a reference photo or thorough description!
Hope I haven't typed too much, I tried to keep it to the bare minimal! Open for contestants!

Okay guys! Sorry about not updating this earlier, totally forgot due to me being unable to peel away from the book I was reading. cx
Round one is beginning, you have until next Tuesday to finish your entry, it has to be in by 11 PM. Please remember to have your story at least 2,000 words long, there is no limit.

You can have gore, and I don't mind blood I was mainly saying a lot of it, and super detailed isn't allowed, though I don't mind a little bit. You can have all the killers and murderers you want, and I don't mind intestines and whatnot as long as it isn't super detailed, like I was saying.
So yeah, a more straight forward answer is: you can have killers, guts, blood and gore as long as you don't make it super detailed and descriptive. xD
