Hello, Joe Biden of Thunderclan. He started out as a very good father figure, but later became Firestar’s deputy, and all that with the quiet dignity of an elderly vice president. He gave Fireheart/star solid advice during his deputy and early leadership days, calling other cats ‘youngster,’ and basically acted the role of clan dad. He's the clans' dad, he's your dad, he's my dad, he's everyone's dad (Jake gets that "everyone's dad" title too but honestly Whitestorm had it first).
Also, believe it or not, he was the first to foreshadow the clans’ great exodus from the forest. Remember him before the Bloodclan battle going on about wondering if they could find territory to go to, past Highstones? Yeah, that's exactly the bit I meant. Oh, dear Whitestorm, if only you knew then...
Lemme just repeat what Firestar thought when he assigned Whitestorm as deputy; just the fact that the big guy was so surprised at getting the deputy role made him a good choice. He didn't even expect to be made deputy at all, he didn't ask to be, he didn't hint that he blatantly wanted to be, he full-on thought it'd be given to someone else and was perfectly fine and supportive of that idea, so when he's given the role of deputy his surprise was all around endearing. I LOVE how humble he is in that scene.
I just love him in general, he and Lionheart were the equivalents of a "gentle giant". I would've loved him to live a good while longer. He was still able-aged despite being played off as if he would've been an elder by then, when in truth he still had a good many seasons left in him before he would go into the elders den. 5.5 years at death? Much too soon to go. I miss him.

Whitestorm's a 9/10 for me, and he was a loyal warrior and a good friend to both Bluestar and Firestar. It's a shame he didn't live longer as deputy.
Leafstar's fine with me. Just...she's okay.

Whitestorm: I really like him! He has a good heart. Plus he is strong, loyal, wise, and very brave too! I wish he would have made it to leadership! 10/10
Leafstar: I like her. I think she's a good leader. Plus she was thrust into the role so fast. Also Firestar and Sandstorm left so fast, it must have been a shock to lose that support. But then she also had SkyClan and StarClan, so that's good for her. I think it's nice that she listens to her cats.

Leafstar: Honestly, she's one of my favorite Clan leaders. Sure, she's not perfect (and sometimes gives her warriors weird names), but what leader is? She cares about her Clan and does the best she can, and is usually reasonable. Can't say the exact same thing about Rowanstar, now can we? |
