here's my gal!
jude rivera-carvajal, 19, cuban-american. //fiery in every aspect, jude is 5'7, with burning ginger red hair and warm golden skin. heavily freckled from her days in the sun, with some lean muscle and a mean look in her eye, she's intimidating for any first impressions. she's cuban-american, a latina girl who's parents brought her along to america at a young age. because of this, and spanish being her first language, jude still has her accent and speaks both english and spanish fluidly. jude could be described as the embodiment of "you're my punk rock dream come true!" a lyric from p.r.d.c.t by bratmobile. very punk, full of sarcasm, 'sticking it to the man' mentality, but in the true spirit of it instead of the "appearance-obsessed faux-cool posers" in the punk rock scene (she's a secret hypocrite she does it half for the aesthetic herself). despite being spunky, she's pretty socially reserved and not easy to get along with. but, she's loyal to her friends and protective like no one else; jude is a hard gal to befriend but a true ally to anyone who can break through her tough outer shell.

Sage Carasella | Nineteen Quite the charmer, Sage is a sight that rarely goes unnoticed; rather for her charisma rather than her looks. In her appearance, she comes off as tom-boyish in a way, with her cutoff shirts and her favorite adornment of a backward black-leather hat in the summertime. Not to say that she wouldn't put effort into her appearance, she just prefers comfort. Sage stands at 5'7" with a slim body shape and long legs. Facial-wise, she has high, slim cheekbones and a bit of a cat-ish look to her with slanted almond-shaped grey and a short narrow nose with a tiny septum ring that peeks out just under her nostrils, small pink lips that usually appear slightly upturned in a friendly expression. She has long, wavy dirty blonde hair that almost appears as a light shade of brunette and reaches midways down her back.
Extremely easy going, Sage comes off as the type to rarely get riled up. She lives for the moment, finding joy in the little things. As aforementioned, she's a social butterfly and loves to chatter with just about anyone. Easily inspired, and highly passionate, Sage is a goodnatured individual, yet very naive. However, she isn't without fault. Terrible at making decisions, and on the occasions that she does get upset or angry, she's very impulsive and unforgiving especially in holding grudges, making her extremely childish. She's not good at arguments and gets flustered when put on the spot, stuttering angrily to defend herself. Therefore she usually tries to avoid conflict, knowing that she will not win.

mm we can p much start it however you'd like. i think it'd be cool if it starts off with them already having been touring around a bit, like a road trip but they find lil venues and stuff to play some shows.
ye for sure ! so i was imagining this w a punk band, tho we can rlly change it up to however. i was thinking jude could be singer & bassist. the genre of music i had in mind is like, bikini kill, bratmobile, & the youngins. female fronted punk is so fun
edit;; here's like a mini playlist that i had saved for this plot!!

The writing process for Jude is not an easy one as of late; she sits in their old beaten car with too many miles on it, a pen in one hand and a half crumpled notebook in her lap as she scribbles ideas down. They have a show to set up for and she wants to try something new. Her writing is aggressive, too passionate for her own good. So far, it's been about a week and a half on the road, finding small venues to perform in, updating the band's tiny social media page every time they play. It makes a decent amount of cash, enough for gas and food, but still scraping by. She had high hopes though - they had a small gathering of fans so far, this could work if they put enough heart into it, kept working hard. Jude chewed at the end of her pen. Hard work wasn't always fruitful.
"SELF - by [x] HE SITS IN THE BACKYARD, SELF HE SITS IN HIS BEDROOM, SELF HE DITCHES HIS BOREDOM, SELF HE GOES ON A WALK..."
She hadn't written anything else - her letters show her irritation, blocky and dark, pressed harshly into the paper. Jude wanted them to make it big, she needed the money, she needed this more than anything; this was kind of all she had going for her right now. The bassist hopped out of the car and the notebook is thrown down in the seat. By now, the sun has set and all the light left is permeating from dim yellow street lamps and the lights inside the venue. She picks up cords and lights for the show to drag inside. It's an old cement box really, with double doors and graffiti inside and skatepark equipment somehow dragged in. A beaten up half pipe is pushed into the corner. Tables and seats are pushed up against the wall, and the main stage is little more than a higher cement platform with their equipment. "We gotta get a soundcheck goin' before people show up."

Sage's fingers burned with anticipation, the same feeling she'd get everytime she was going to have those black wooden drumsticks in her grip again. The same feeling when she could feel rhythm eating at every ounce of her body in need of release, to play again. An urge to try something new. A need to feel free. It was a feeling she had grown somewhat accustomed to throughout the years, and increasingly so now that nearly every night there were gigs available to play. Back at home, she'd never had many opportunities to play like she does now, especially since her parents butt in with a such a negative undertone everytime that she'd play. She was too loud, too rough, according to them. Bothering the neighbours. Interrupting their television show. Wasting time when she could be doing something more productive. But it was productive. At least to her. Besides, Sage could never understand how she could be expected to play softly and sweetly on the drumset.
Sometimes she questioned if that sweet release of playing was worth the life choice that she had made. Sure, it had only been a week and a half, but as the weight of barely scraping by slowly starts to take its toll, it's hard to not want to pull out. To not give up. To not think this idea was completely ridiculous. But it was more worth it when Sage examined why she wanted to do this in the first place. As she stood outside of the venue, keeping to her thoughts just in sight of the beaten up can that she now called home, she could just faintly see a flash of ginger in the window as someone moved around inside. You could say that Jude was her main reason for coming this far and giving this a chance. I mean, the amount of passion that she had for this sort of thing was overwhelming and made you believe you could accomplish just about anything if you give it a try. Sage will admit that was a big determinant on her decision, but she also enjoyed the amount of time they were able to spend alone together, just making music together. Doing something they loved together. It made Sage's heart grow warm. She almost didn't notice that Jude had made her way towards her until the other girl had began to speak up.
"Sounds good to me," Sage responded gruffly, turning to hold the door open for her only to follow close behind to enter the venue. "Most everything is ready to go. Shouldn't take but five minutes, I'd say." She hummed softly, her eyes finding their way to her drumset, a tingling lingering on the edges of her fingertips.
