Okay, so I'm quite new to making a clan, and have a nice new banner and layout all ready. How do I use them? I see there is a coding thing at the bottom, and I looked at some other help guides. you're supposed to put that code or whatever it is in ms word, right? Pasting it onto ms word was what the guide said. This is so confusing, and it might seem really funny to some people.. But I need help to post up my banner and layouts together.

Are you copying it from the old forums (HTML)?
1. Copy and paste everything into Word
2. Click Find and Replace (Advanced)
3. Replace every > with ]
4. Replace every < with [
5. Select All and Copy
7. Paste back into the BBCode Tab.
8. Switch to the Preview Tab and you should see your layout.
If you are not using HTML (which has > and <):
1. Paste everything into your BBCode Tab
2. Switch to the Preview Tab and you should see your layout.
Sorry not really sure what you mean. BBC uses [], HTML uses <>. Which one are you using?

When you click Reply (seen on the green bar to the right of each post, opposite of your avatar), you get a Reply screen with two tabs at the bottom, BBC and Preview. BBC works in Quick Reply (reply option at the bottom of each thread) but you can't preview it.

Okay. I tried to post the BBC in the coding thing with quick reply, and it came out as something odd. I'll try again though.

 When you open a reply box or create a new topic, by default, "Preview" is the tab that's selected. Instead, you want to select the tab "BBCode." This is where you need to paste the code provided.  This should be what it looks like now that you've pasted your code in. If you want to see what the code created, click the "Preview" tab again. This will show what the code creates.  Now back on the preview page, you can change the font color / size and add in whatever words / descriptions you would like to. It will automatically change the code for you, so you no longer need to mess with the "BBCode" tab. Once you're satisfied with how everything looks, just click the "Create Post" Button and you should be good to go! |
