The sun blazed down on the city as people walked along the side walk. The occasional stray animal would be seen roaming around in search of food. A sleek light brown cat sat atop a fence observing everyone. Her sky-blue eyes scanned the sidewalks as if she were searching for something. The tip of her tail twitched as a dog seemed to take interest in her, a small yelp came from his mouth as well as many others. The cat's fur now stood on end as it hissed at said dog earning a whimper from it. The dog backed up, tail tucked between his legs, and scampered off.
Shaking her fur out, the cat proceeded to tiptoe across the fence and hop up onto a rooftop. With a blow of the wind, the cat was suddenly replaced with a girl, no older than seventeen. She retained the features of the cat, two fluffy brown cat ears sat atop her brown hair which reached to the middle of her back, a long fluffy brown tail swept back and forth behind her in anticipation.
“You know, glaring at the humans will not bring him back.” A voice spoke from behind her, causing her to whip around only to see no one there. “Whatever you are planning, you might as well drop it, it won’t end well for either of us.”
“Shut up! Show yourself you coward!” the girl huffed, her eyes frantically searching for the source of the voice.
“Tch. The only coward I see is you, running away from your family like that, just to run to a human. You knew what would happen if you continued to involve yourself with him. We warned you, Skyress. Now come home, your father is waiting.”
“I said shut up!” Skyress growled and lashed out in no particular direction. “You can tell my father to shove off.” With that said, she began to run across the rooftops, changing mid jump from one building to another. I won’t let them get away with this. I will avenge you, Zero.
A figure suddenly slunk out of the shadows on the rooftop. With a heavy sigh, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number. “She’s on the run, what is it you would like me to do now?” he spoke into the speaker.
“Tail her and bring her home. If we’re not careful, all of our plans will be ruined.” A deep guffled voice could be heard from the other end.
“Roger that.” And the figure was gone.
