I was actually just thinking about washer dryers a day or so ago.
Whenever i can have my own im not getting a front facing one. The apartment has a front facing one and all it does is bang against the floor really hard when things are wet and clump over to one side only and recently started just leaking water all over the floor cause the seal isn't as tight as it should be. It also doesn't dry anything right and has needed to be wiped down cause it grows mold. We only ever use it in an emergency if we cant go do laundry at dakotas moms place and just hang things up to dry afterward. I hate the thing.

Ick. Our washing machine has this tube that shoots out the dirty water into the utility sink, and if the tube is out of place by a bit the laundry room is flooded with dirty water. >:-P

Yuck. Ours is stuck under part of the kitchen counter. I also really dont like that aspect of needing to bring dirty clothes into a place i go to make food.

Weird, my parents and brother both have front-facing ones for 8 or so years without issues. It might be that particular brand/model or because it hasn’t been taken care of properly.
We actually purposefully got front-loaders because of the need for space efficiency. Our laundry “room” is more like a pass-through closet between the kitchen and garage, and by getting front-loaders instead of top-loaders, I’ll be able to put a counter top and cabinet above each to give me some storage and work space. I like our house, but it was not really designed to efficiently use the space it has.

Maybe, im still not keen on front facing for a completely different reason though, being that my knees and back suck and hunching next to the floor to toss things in and pull them out is not comfortable.

Wow that was interesting to read through. Saint Ambrosef you’re officially old nice that you got that! Idk wtf is up with our dryer but it tells us how long it’s going to take and the other day when I switched the stuff from the washer into the dryer I checked about 5 minutes after putting it in and it said ‘30 minutes’, I checked 10 minutes later and ‘100+ minutes’ WTFFFFFF 💀
