I know, I feel so bad for them. I thought for sure their eggs were safer than the cardinal's, because the nest was high up on a rain gutter, so things like cats or snakes couldn't get to it, where as the cardinals built their nest about chest high off the ground, and they've already lost 2 eggs (one for sure was by something with fangs).
I just hope the little baby bird makes it

Stupid question:Are there any high places near the roof?We've had the same issue and found out it was a flying/gliding snake that was getting the blue Jay's eggs The robin's nest was directly under the roof, on the part of the gutter where it went from the gutter to the wall of the house before going straight down. I figure what got them has to be some sort of bird, unless something like a raccoon climbed straight up a brick wall then hung over the edge of the roof to get them (I have no trees near the house that something could climb then jump to the roof). I do believe the cardinal's other eggs were gotten by a snake, because the one egg I found had 2 perfectly aligned puncture marks in it where the embryo was oozing out, but otherwise the egg was intact. |

I took Sydney to the vet today - they informed me that she indeed is going blind, she has a hemorrhage behind one of her eyes. There is a cat ophthalmologist in the city, but it would be a couple hundred bucks just to see her, and considering I asked for a cat money advance for this visit (even though I didn't end up needing it, as the visit was about $100 less than I was expecting), it would still involve another 2 month advance on top of the 1 month advance I already asked for, and I seriously doubt my mom would go for that.

I've had a blind cat before, but he was the type who just liked to lay around in either the sun or your lap. Sydney is a very independent cat who loves to jump and climb, and I think the fact that she can't anymore scares her, hence the random howling at all hours in the hall (I think she gets lost and needs one of us to call to her to remind her of where she is). Does the limp seem to hurt your cats of affect their running/jumping, or do they barely notice? Ahh for once in my life I'm like really scared of a storm. I never really have been scared of tornadoes because no one close to me has had one hurt them. Now, my Grandma-in-law has her house with no windows, a door blown off, water messed up, etc. My uncle-in-law has no house...and I don't know, there's people saying it's going to be bad again tonight. It was only a town over this happened and I'm so bloody freaked out. I ended up snapping at my husband because he almost let the dogs run off. I'm sorry about your in-law's houses. Are they at least safe? I hope your husband understands you only snapped at him out of fear for your dogs. How did you end up faring with the latest storm? |

I don't think they notice.They hunt and jump on everything like a normal cat.But what affects them most(Like their uncle)is the twitching of the back muscles.You know when it looks like their back is moving,well that gives my cat's a lot of pain |

Ive spent like almost 200 dollars now lol... Just on Game of Thrones merch.... And I wasnt sure if I should buy a wig for cosplay just yet but I broke down and did it anyway.
I usually never spend this much but I have lost all self control on this matter.
