Is it just me, or does it feel like the fourth book in every series is usually the slowest, least exciting book?
I've always found Rising Storm to be pretty boring, maybe except for the ending. The majority of the book just seems like filler to me. I've always found this one to be a bit of a drag.
I can't even remember a single thing that happens in Starlight.
I can barely remember anything that happened in Eclipse, besides the battle. But even then my memories are vague and fuzzy.
While I found the scenes with the ancient tribe the most interesting part of the book, Sign of the Moon seems to be pretty filler and I honestly can't remember anything that happens outside of the ancient tribe scenes.
The Blazing Star was one of the better ones. I don't really have any problems with this one.
Darkest Night wasn't horrible, but there just wasn't a whole lot going on. It had some good scenes, but over all it was just kind of slow. Most of it felt like filler.

I'd say they are probably just fillers. But I actually love most of the fourth books of each series, I find them interesting.

I liked Eclipse, but otherwise, this is too true. Rising Storm bored me to tears, so did Starlight, as well as Sign of the Moon. TBS is an exception, and Darkest Night was alright.

I really liked Eclipse and Rising Storm, but you're right, none of the fourth books seem to push the story forward much.

The fifth books always have the plot twists/whatever the entire series has been leading up to/cliffhangers I wonder what it'll be in River of Fire.

I really didn't like Sign of the Moon. I don't think anyone did.

Eclipse was okay and Rising Storm is great imo, but aside from those, there's definitely a pattern of mediocre fourth installments.

Well it is the down part of the first half of the series, then it's supposed to help build up for the rest of the series.

starlight was always one of the most boring books in history for me. i guess rising storm is probably the least exciting of the first arc. i can't remember the fourth books in the third and forth arc 😬
