So here's the area to be completely honest.
Here's mine:
- I like Sol. And I regretfully kind of like the ship between him and Hollyleaf but I don't know why. - I like couples not on how 'cute' are but on how well developed/interesting they are. This is why like BrambleclawxSquirrelflight, CrowfeatherxNightcloud, SandstormxFirestar, etc. - I don't really like shipping in general, it can get too out of hand. It's also completely option based, so there's no real room to debate as no side can right or wrong. - I have not read Omen of the Stars and I never will. - I feel like the modern books have lost their sense of culture after trying to humanize the cats too much. For example, no one particing the smaller rules of the code anymore, the tradion of elders naming themselves after their injuries is completely forgotten about, sending apprentices to the Moonpool has ended etc. It also doesn't feel like a warrior culture anymore, Rusty had to fight a fully grown warrior to earn his place but no other kittypet has had to this. I also wish the Warriors would grow a pair, they seem to be too scared to get anything done and never fight anymore over borders anymore.
- Compared to previous gernetations, I feel like the morden warriors much weaker-minded. For example, Stonefur/Mistyfoot discovered they was half-clan, but forgive their mother rather quickly while Hollyleaf goes on a murder sphree and her brothers reject their parents for moons. It took the deaths of her family, deputies etc. for Bluestar to finally snap. But with Blossomfall and Breezepelt, all it took was kind of bad parenting. They didn't even abuse them like Rainflower/Lizardstripe, Crowfeather was overly distant and cold while Millie couldn't give Blossomfall enough attetion.
- Starclan shouldn't be involved in the stories that much. *Throws all prophecies into a fire* They should be kept a mysterious vauge concept for world building and nine lives, nothing else. They're just used as plot devices and characters feel weaker, as they don't make chooses for themselves. Starclan has lost it's impact after getting so involved, even losing reapect for them.
- I also wish Queens were given more reaspect, including Ferncloud and Dasiy. Just becase they don't hunt/fight, they're not useless. They're raising the next gernation of warriors.

I have no desire to read the rest of A Vision of Shadows.
Lionblaze should have been mates with Icecloud.
I don't like Briarlight. She's a very boring character to me.
Dovewing and Ivypool should both be single.
Cinderheart is a pointless character and Cinderpelt should have stayed dead.

-Ivypool is too swag to have a mate -Millie should be giving Blossom and Bumble more attention -We need less forbidden romances *cringes* -We need more evil she-cats -We need a good bout of greencough to whip out all the old guys in ThunderClan

-I don't think either Millie nor Greystripe are bad parents
-I completely understand why Briarlight is still alive, and encourage it. Whilst she has to die at some point, like every character, if a disabled or paralyzed kid reads about a character like her and feels better about life, then I don't care how 'unrealistic' it is that she's still alive
-I hate Hollyleaf so, so, so, so much
-I find Lionblaze interesting, and don't see how he's boring
-I completely understand why Brambleclaw was so angry at Squirrelflight, and think the fandom is pretty hard on him for being unable to forgive her for a long time. That was a massive betrayal, and he had every right to be furious
-I like SkyClan
-I really dislike Tallstar's Revenge
-I don't like Tall x Jake
-Lizardstripe was treated terribly by the authors and deserved so much better than she got
-I also don't think Cinderpelt should have been reincarnated, although Lion x Cinder is cute
-I love Thorn x Blossom
-I love Fern x Ivy
-I think Ashfur is an interesting villain, and want to read a super edition from his point of view
-I don't really like Ivy x Blossom that much
I probably have loads more so I hope it's okay if I comment again later

-I hate Hollyleaf so, so, so, so much -I really dislike Tallstar's Revenge -I think Ashfur is an interesting villain, and want to read a super edition from his point of view I'm not going to debate you as this is just a thread to be honest with your options, not for them to be challenged. But do you mind saying why you don't like Hollyleaf or Tallstar's revenge? As they're so loved, (Including myself), it would be nice to get an alternate option to the norm.

No, it's okay, I don't mind explaining. I have never, ever liked Hollyleaf, and I would spend ages as a younger kid wondering what everyone else saw in her. To me, she's selfish, whiny, and spoilt. But the thing that I hate most about her is her close-mindedness. It seems like it's either Hollyleaf's way, or the high way. She doesn't try to consider other cat's viewpoints on things, and her obsession with the Warrior Code drives me bonkers (as someone who has always been rather critical of it anyway and believes it should be broken in some cases.) Also, I can't get over her trying to force Leafpool into suicide. I've said it many times (sorry, I sound like a broken record), but Hollyleaf didn't spare Leafpool out of the goodness of her heart. She spared Leafpool because life would be more painful for Leafpool than death was. That just always struck me as really sociopathic and awful. She does get better in OoTS, but she should have been a villain. The funny thing is, if Hollyleaf was a villain, she'd probably be my favourite. As it is, I hate her mostly because her actions are mostly skipped over or justified, and it doesn't sit right with me at all. As for Tallstar's Revenge, it's been a super long time since I read it, but the main issues I had with it were; A) I don't like reading about the journeys anyway, so a 500 page book of journeying was not something I enjoyed WindClan doesn't particularly interest me C) I didn't like Tallstar in the book and it ruined his character for me quite a bit. I couldn't respect him and I felt like he was so negative about everything, and rather rude. Like I said; it's been years since I read the book, so maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but I did go through the whole thing just disliking him more and more.

-We need less forbidden romances *cringes* -We need more evil she-cats -We need a good bout of greencough to whip out all the old guys in ThunderClan They the old characters need to go. It's strange, they seem to age a lot slower then more minor characters, for example, Spiderleg was once mentioned to be becoming older and probably moving to the elders soon. However, Dustpelt, his father, was still a warrior at the time. Female Medicine cat villain, and we all set, new best villain. I think Forbidden couples were an interesting concept, however, they ruined it by using way too much and almost unnecessary. If they were going to forbidden romance, at least do a twist on it each time; WarirorxWarrior, Medicine CatxCat from same Clan, LeaderxLeader, Gay Forbidden Couple, Kittypet/Loner/RougexClan cat etc.

Hollyleaf being a villain or just dying in the caves I think would have been a far better end, that being said having her kick Hawkfrost's butt was pretty cool.
In any case,
- Crookedstar's Promise is a dull slog to go through. The New Prophecy was also like this, except it did have a couple of highlights through the majority of boredom.
- Mapleshade was only ever good in her novella. Any other time she shows up, she's very, very meh.
- Firestar's amazing and I loved him even beyond the first series. Best moment for me was when just him appearing made Onestar shut up and run off with his tail between his legs in the PoT
- 90% of Shadowclan is awful. Even the 'decent' cats among them tended to be ex-rogues. Every time they show up, I just brace for them to do something bad. Whenever any cat talks about how Shadowclan has honor, I just sigh and shake my head. Hollyleaf was basically 100% right about them just being a pack of bullies pretty much.
- Bluestar was an awful candidate for leader. For all of her sacrifices, Bluestar was pretty meh as a leader in the first part of the books(sure, trust Tigerclaw, the apprentice you saw nearly murder a kit, clearly this won't backfire) and then just became utterly incompetent as time went on. She reads far better imo as a tragic figure who thought that the clan needed her when in reality, she wasn't saving the clan from anything.
- Ivypool and Jayfeather aren't that great...in the PoT and OoTS. In AVoS though, I adore them.
- Cats are way too forgiving. This is one of the biggest problems with the series, that when Blackstar or Leopardstar or whoever starts complaining and whining about something, that other cats don't just say how rich that is coming from cats who kissed the ground beneath Tigerstar's paws. This in itself leads to one of the problems with the OoTS where so many cats just go "oh well, training with the forces of Hell can't be that bad, can it?" I also rolled my eyes at Brambleclaw's stupidity when he was making excuses for Tigerstar despite having seen his own father say that he wanted to kill him.

Mapleshade is an ‘eh’ character. She gets touted as an innocent angel...but she was a murderer? Sure, what happened to her was horrible and the others certainly weren’t innocent either, but 2 wrongs don’t make a right.
Ivypool should have been one of the Three, power or no power.
ThunderClan has become annoying.
I love SkyClan.
I think there needs to be a break from forbidden romances- there’s been one involved in EVERY arc. Unless they can give a well written twist (like, a RiverClan medicine catXThunderClan medicine cat or something), they need to stop. And then it needs to be in the background, not the what the plot revolves around.

I like Millie and I don't think she deserves the hate she gets. I like Dovewing and I understand why she left ThunderClan. I don't sympathize with Ivypool and her jealousy. She's mean about it and brought her own problems to herself. I love SkyClan. Needletail is a decent character, although I hate her. I dislike the Ivypool bias but she's fine as a character. I don't like Mapleshade. Her novella ruined her for me. She should have had a super edition.

I don't like Violetshine. She's too much like Needletail, and Needletail is my most hated character of all time. As time goes on, it seems like Violetshine only gets more and more annoying. I understand she went through a lot of trauma and abuse, but her constant negative attitude and complaining gets on my nerves. I hate how she sticks up for that disgusting monster Needletail, while trashing her real family Twigpaw and Pebbleshine.

- 9/10 non-canon warriors ships are bad - Needletail is a great, well developed character don't @ me - you know what most well developed characters are good, even if they were good cats or bad - Ivy x blossom is.. Kind of underdeveloped. I don't remember oots too well but didn't they have a conversation like twice?? I don't mind it too much though. - I don't know why people ship ivy x holly or breeze x jay they're so closely related why then again Ivy x Fern are related too : / - Lionheart x Cinderheart was... Okay but I felt there should've been more - Bluestar x Oakheart is underdeveloped.. Once again it was okay

Here goes nothing (though I've got three).
I find Firestar to be the best Warriors protagonist (I know I'm biased, but I had to put that there). I think Moth Flight's reasons for medicine cats to not have mates or kittens to be rather dumb. I think the modern SkyClan is pretty interesting.

-Rowanstar is not one of the worst leaders, he doesn't even come close to being anywhere near as bad as many others. He deserved way better.
-I liked Onestar from start to finish. I enjoy his cowardice and unique change in viewpoint. This was clearly a cat not suited for leadership who tried way too hard to fit into a leadership he felt his clanmates wanted. He payed for his actions by dying with his son and finally got a closure. I hope to see if he's better in Starclan.
-I think Berrynose could be a good deputy, and an incredibly unique leader for Thunderclan in comparison to the ever-noble and heroic leaders we've read about for years.
-I wished Hollyleaf and Mousewhisker had become mates, or that if Hollyleaf lived that they developed a romance. If not, I enjoy that Mousewhisker is single.
-Molewhisker, Cherryfall and Sparkpelt are not brats nor are they bad for doubting Skyclan's place amongst the clans. It's an honest weariness especially with all the drama that had occured. Even then, Molewhisker has cleary shown he's a loyal cat who puts aside his doubts when his clan gets to work, shown by how he willingly travelled with the Skyclan cats and helped them. Molewhisker is actually becoming a pretty interesting character.
-I kind of wish Alderheart had joined Skyclan and became their medicine cat. Either that, or that Jayfeather or Leafpool pass away soon to even it out.
-Lion and Cinder should not have had a second litter. It should have been Whitewing or Poppyfrost instead, to be honest, if Thunderclan really needed more kits.
-Needletail does not deserve the redemption she's clearly going to get. I can't forgive or bring myself to even remotely support or yearn to read about her. Tree's weird powers annoy me too, and I dislike how Violetshine is still mindlessly pining after that abomination.
-Graystripe is not a bad father, and I will not see him as such unless I get written evidence that states the 3 B's expressing that. Sorry. It's not happening.

- I think the clans are usually too strict abut letting rogues and loner join. I personally think it's good for the clans to have fresh blood.
- Onestar (not onewhisker) is the worst cat known to the warrior cats series, and I think he should go to dark forest for being such a jerk.
- Firestar is OP, but I still love that guy.
- Crowfeather shouldn't be deputy.
- The three overreacted to what Squirrelflight and Leafpool did. I feel almost no sympathy for Jayfeather and Lionblaze because they refused to even listen to the other side of the story.
- Hollyleaf was the most annoying character up until The Forgotten Warrior. Also, she's super gay.
- This isn't super unpopular, but there needs to be a LGBT character who is outright stated to be LGBT in the books.

-I fully respect Millie and Daisy's decisions to keep their kittypet names
-I'd be 100% okay if Bumblestripe became Ashfur 2.0
-Breezepelt deserves to go to the Dark Forest if he doesn't get his act together
-I really like Heathertail

*Opens suitcase and pulls out a pile of papers*
*Adjusts glasses*
Well where do I begin....
>> I don't like Fire x Sand, I'm sorry but it never stuck with me, even as a kid. I don't like how antagonistic Sand was toward Fire in the beginning, I don't like how she suddenly had feelings for him after he saved her, I don't like how she pretty much neglected her friendship with Dust. I don't like how stupidly oblivious Firestar was about her feelings for moons, and he didn't even seem to return her feelings until he found out she liked him. Also I feel like Sandstorm overreacted about that whole apprentice thing, and I dislike the fact Firestar was still seeing Spotted in his dreams eve after they became mates, Sand had the right to be annoyed at that.
>> I don't like Bramblestar x Squirrelflight, I'm neutral on it, like Firestar and Sandstorm, okay? I didn't mind their bickering honestly, but at the same time I felt like Squirrelflight deserved better? Her on and off relationship with Bramble was irritating, and then Ashfur got sucked into that mess. I hated how Bramble took so long to finally forgive Squirrelflight, then hypocritically does the same thing in a sense as she did in BrS. I don't like how he was mad at her for keeping secrets, but was also seeing his father in the Dark Forest, and ignoring her in favor of his messed up in the head brother. Don't even get me started over him chasing after another she-cat's tail while Squirrelflight is there still. I hated BrS just for that dumb romantic subplot, Squirrelflight is a great warrior, and deputy, and deserved better than Bramble.
>> I like Ashfur, I still do. As a character, as a villain, and I'm really tired of him, and Mapleshade actually, being the fandom's whipping boy. Did he deserve to go to StarClan, nah, I don't think so, but he's there, not much we can do about it anymore at this point. On top of that he was a perfectly okay cat prior to all that romance drama, I didn't even mind AshSquirrel cause at least Squirrel and him were okay friends and not bickering at one another's throats. I don't ship it still, I prefer WhiteAsh and StormSquirrel, but anyways. I still enjoyed his spiral down into the depths of becoming a villain, but at the same time I felt he got don dirty. The Erins even said he wasn't picked for any particular reason either, he was such a great character, could even potentially be deputy one day. But he was ruined for the sake of drama....
>> I used to hate Hollyleaf, I love her now, but I feel like the fandom over hypes her way too much. She had a lot of great development, sure, but compared to Lion and Jay, way less screen time due to her absence. I also can't stand Fallen x Holly, no more of that, they didn't even seem romantic in the novel at all. I also absolutely despise Lionblaze, and I felt that story wise, he should have died in the final battle, and Hollyleaf should have lived. Lionblaze doesn't deserve a mate, or kits, and I hate how the fandom with trash on Breezepelt but then give Lionblaze a free pass when he's done messed up things too. His romance with Cinder was rushed, the drama subplot was so unnecessary it hurt, and his treatment of Heathertail was hypocritical and gross. On the other hand there's Jayfeather, he used to be my fav of the three, but now it's Holly, I used to really love him as a character cause he was so interesting. But those Jay x Stick jokes were irksome, and as of AVoS he's like a bad living version of StarClan!Yellowfang, so annoying. Also I don't mind Half x Jay, but I felt like it's just....?? Can we stop giving cats dead love interest, that would be nice.
>> I used to love Dovewing, but all I have left for her is utter disappointment. I felt like her character was in the right direction as of BrS, even if she broke up with Bumblestripe. I wished she'd learn to love herself and not worry about tom drama all the time, and stay single. I don't mind her finding a new love interest either, but I wanted her to at least take sometime to figure herself out first, I wanted what was best for her. But the Erins didn't seem to agree. And decided to make her horribly OOC in THS, and then make her out to be some selfish, abusive, manipulative brat towards her mate, and also puts her kits in danger, smh. I don't mind she moved to ShadowClan either, I just hate how the Erins did it, THS was such an obvious money grab and a hot mess, it was horrible, and I hate their kits's names. *frustrated yelling*
>> I hate Blossomfall x Ivypool. I actually used to ship it, I used to draw art of it, and I loved it a lot, because according to tumblr, it was a great ship, and I kept seeing the content around a lot. It was really popular in the fandom, and if that meant Ivy was happy I was happy. Now this is all back in the day, and when I got around to re-reading the series, I got different thoughts. Where as I didn't mind BlossomIvy as much, I didn't like how Blossomfall treated Ivypool like mouse dung when she was already struggling with her own inner turmoils and was self-conscious when it came to being compared to her shining sister. Blossomfall never even apologized for how she treated Ivypool, much like Sand and Fire, and that irked me a lot okay. They only talked like a few times, they have like little to no development, but the fandom still pushed it cause it's a wlw ship in the series. I hate how it pushed Ivypool into the stereotype of "butched lesbian" too, god I hate that so much. Then along comes Fern x Ivy, and I'm super hesitant about it, but what I like is that the Erins created Fernsong with Ivypool in mind. Well more like they gave him personality with her in mind, since he was already a thing since BrS, etc. It's a healthy ship, and feels like a breath of fresh air, but StarClan forbid that Ivypool ends up with a tom...it's suddenly the end of the world. I'm mean it's totally not like they can't headcanon her as bi, or pan, or even poly, etc. *BIG SIGH* I feel like the overbearing behavior of the BlossomIvy fandom has turned me away from the pairing completely, and at this point I'm just ignoring all the hate and enjoying FernIvy. To clarify, I'd love rep in warriors, just not horrible rep that would be BlossomIvy tbh, even HollyIvy makes more sense. Also the complaints about Fern and Ivy being related is really getting out of hand, if I had a nickle--
>> I don't like how the fandom treats Mapleshade, as I mentioned before, in fact I don't like how the fandom jokes about certain characters in general tbh. People rag on a queen who was cheated on, kicked from her home, rejected from a new one, lost her kits, and then spiraled into insanity, and apparently it's funny? I don't like how people joked about Palebird either, oh man that made me so uncomfortable, I don't like how people trash on Breezepelt, even though he was neglected, I don't like how people excuse Millie's behavior toward her kits, I don't like how some people practically ignored that Clear Sky was a horrible dad and Star Flower is just as horrible. There's a lot of things that really bugs me when it comes to certain characters and how this fandom treats them tbh, and that was only to name a few.
>> I still to this day believe that Mudclaw should have been leader of WindClan and it annoyed me so much how the Erins made a 360 out of Onestar's character. Then again even as Onewhisker, he was apparently a cowardly piece of crow food who neglects his family, lies to his clan, and sparks all out wars. I don't understand how people can still defend him or even like him, but to each their own. I feel like some are just hoping for him to return to how he was as a warrior, where he was nicer, etc, but I just didn't see that happening and it didn't. I wish he had died sooner tbh, but I don't mind Harestar replacing him. However I don't agree with his choice of deputy, why Crowfeather of all cats, seriously Erins?
>> The lack of female leaders, the lack of female deputies, the lack of anything pertaining to females in higher positions really, I don't like that. I hate how the ratio is always 1 to 4 or 2 to 5, like the female leaders are always outnumbered. I just wish it was more equal, there's a lot of great female characters out there that could do 10x better than some of the current leaders, especially Rowanstar. It should have been Tawnypelt that became leader, and I'm so annoyed she got skipped over not once, but twice, she deserves better. I also don't like the mentality of the fandom where they think being a Queen means their character will be ruined, or having kits make them "soft" like they're going to completely ignore that Queens fight the hardest because they have more on the line. They deserve more respect, they're not lazy, they're raising the next generation of warriors. Also deputies and leaders should be able to have kits, why is it looked down on??
>> I like Nightcloud and I felt that she deserved better, she was an okay warrior, and apparently respected. I hate how Crowfeather used her just to gain the other's trust back, using her reputation to bring up his own. I hated how he neglected their kit, and treated her coldly. I hated how he was so quick and eager to run back to see Feather's grave, not caring his kit was watching, or how he would let his too sons fight and only get involve when his other love interest gets in the way, again in front of his family. Nightcloud has every right to be angry, Crowfeather is cruddy father, a cruddy mate, and a cruddy warrior in general. I felt bad for Night because she's obviously trying to make things work, but Crowfeather would never put her as number one in his book. And I wished she'd leave him, hopefully they broke up by now, and just care for her son and grandkits on her own, cause ugh. Honestly Crowfeather's treatment of his second family, how he threw Leafpool under the bus, and how he's always jumping from one she-cat to the next is why I've come to despise him and like other cats in this case more, like Leaf and Night.
>> I hate the "shine" suffix now, I'm tired of seeing it, and the Erins are not getting more original. Puddleshine? Pebbleshine? Violentshine? Enough! No more! Be more flipping creative, jeez. I hate that they named Violentshine that, and I hate Twigbranch's name, who names a cat that! Twigtwig, Branchbranch, it's so dumb, I'm sorry. Also while I'm at it, I don't like either of the sisters, I mean I don't hate them either, and I find Violet to be more interesting anyways. I hate that Twig is hopping from clan to clan, it's a running theme and it's annoying as heck. I don't ship Fin x Twig, nor do I support it, I think Twig needs to get her act together before she even thinks about relationships like that. And I don't like how quickly Fin was to oblige with running away together with her, what the heck, they're like a couple of dumb teenagers, and people though GraySilver was bad?? On the other hand I actually like Violet and Tree, I was hoping for Needle x Tree and Sleek x Rain, but I didn't mind Rain x Needle either. And I really like the direction of Violet and Tree, they're both odd one outs, they can relate, and they've already flirted, it's cute. I also feel like people are making Tree out to be wayyyy too older than he actually is, honestly. Just because he was around when Violet was a kit, and Violet herself isn't that old when she's introduced in the main story anyways, so like chill out about that lol.
I probably have more, but I got to sleep, I'm going to see Black Panther tonight and I gotta rest. So I'll add more later, but yeah.

- Hollyleaf was the most annoying character up until The Forgotten Warrior. Also, she's super gay. - This isn't super unpopular, but there needs to be a LGBT character who is outright stated to be LGBT in the books. Well, the Erins did say they'd love to have openly gay character, them even confirming online, that Barley and Ravenpaw were a very dedicated couple. However, they can't because if they did, they couldn't publish warriors in certain countries. Also, Hollyleaf gay? Are you just saying that as an insult to her or do you think she actually is? Because as far as I'm aware, she didn't show any romantic feelings to other she-cats. Even if she was, she would by Bisexual, due to showing feeling with the male Fallen leaves.

Just out of curiosity, why do you think Mudclaw should have been leader? I've never seen that argument before.

You asked for my opinion, and I gave it. I want a LGBT to be explicitly stated in the books to be LGBT. I was not using gay as an insult. It doesn't matter that Hollyleaf never showed feeling for she-cats (which is subjective because I do think she showed feelings for she-cats), my opinion is that she's gay. Also, I was using gay as an umbrella term.
