{I want Alex to have an assassin fighting style. Quick, silent, and deadly. Despite the flashy way she dresses, she can come up behind you in what seems like a blink of an eye, due to her small-ish height of 5'5". Most guys are taller than that, which she absolutely hates. Always carries at least a dozen knives on her at all times, no excuses.}
{Oooohhh, he's trouble. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)}
{I'll get a reply up as soon as possible, but I have to finish this one assignment that I'm struggling with which will take a couple hours. ;'3}

(Oh an assassin~ That should mesh well with Rose's style, because when cornered he's very ah. Direct. She must hate that Rose is pretty much 6' then. x3 Haha, I can imagine a scene where Rose loses his knives- he generally has three throwing knives and two for close combat- and is just staring at Alex like how because she seems to have an endless supply. "You're so tiny! Where do you keep them?!" Thank you for giving Rose more ammo, he'll never shut up about their height difference now
(¬‿¬) He is indeed.
Ach, I can relate. I have two final exam type things due in March and I can only barely manage one right now. (╥_╥) Take your time, and good luck!)

Her right eyebrow raised as she heard the gunshot, following it with her eyes as it whizzed passed Ambrosius, barely missing his head. The woman shook her head in shame, clicking her tongue. "If only the humans knew how to aim. And I told you to stop calling me that!" Her tone changed from teasing the boy to an emotion beyond annoyance in a matter of seconds. However, she raised her hand in farewell before starting to break off into a run. "No promises, chéri!" She called back over her shoulder, giving him one final look before she was off.
Her destination lie ahead, on the rooftops. The humans were courteous enough to give away their position, sparing her some time of searching. Sticking to the shadows, Alexandria continued on, running alongside the buildings. It took no time at all before she climbed onto the rooftop, gripping onto the ledge and pulling herself up.
Coming up from behind, she decided to ditch the knives and use her fangs. The thought of tasting blood again was tempting, and she went for him, fangs biting down on the sniper's neck. Once she was satisfied, she reached in her pockets, pulled out some knives, and got to work. Rose could thank her later for agreeing to do the dirty work, but she didn't mind. She just hated him telling her what to do. Because as far as she knew, he was nothing more than a useless addition to the team. A mistake. Rolling her eyes to herself, she took out the group of hunters one by one, making their deaths quick and painless, something she wished she could've had.
At this point, after all the fights she's been through, this was just clockwork. Kill one human, the move onto the next. There were times even she was caught off guard, however. As her eyes darted the rooftops, making sure she didn't miss anyone, she heard a faint noise, turning around right before something buried itself in her back. The woman grunted in pain, and with a swift strike, knocked the hunter dead.
Well, that was the last of them. For now at least. Now she had to figure out where in the bloody hell was the northernmost tree-line. Making her way back down to the ground, the woman reached back and yanked the wooden stake out of her, tossing it to the ground. Now that the adrenaline was wearing off, the pain began to grow greater, and she scowled at herself, walking north. The tree-line wasn't visible just yet, so she had a ways to go. Hopefully by the time she got there, Rose had at least found the contact.

{Kinda ditched my HW for this reply, and I was somewhat typing it while playing Overwatch and Fortnite, but I'm too excited for this and I can't wait to see where it goes so yeah! I need to be stopped.}
{A somewhat clumsy assassin at times, though. ;3}
{Alex would be mad only because she wouldn't be able to look down on him.}
{Oh yes, she has a huge knife collection, always collecting them off of random bodies haha!!! It's her hobby. If he ever mentions her height, she will not hesitate to s t a b him.}

(Honestly I did the same. I was too excited to do more than open the Word document for a bit.... ^^' It's bad for my health! But I don't care apparently. Also I only know of Overwatch and Fortnite because my brother plays them but they seem cool! Fortnite makes him mad though. xj
xp Rose would find that amusing. Then cute Because he's the epitome of grace. It's his thing. Every movement is precise and calculated and if he happens to fall short of that well it's not like anyone would live to tell~
Ah, Rose loves looking down on people~
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Guess he's getting stabbed then. But I love her hobby! X3 Reminds me of a video game character.
It'll take me a while to write my reply because I need to make up for lost time and it might be kinda long...^^')

Ah of course. Just so long as Rose can manage to not immediately turn to stone upon touching an Icky Nature Thing. Also his survival skills are kind of rusty so he'll be like 'Alex wait- Alex don't leave me in the dark.' I'm considering giving him a leftover fear from his childhood but haven't decided yet...
That's productivity right there~ x3 Good night! Or morning now. Afternoon?)

{I just clocked into work at 1, so I won’t be able to respond for another like 3 hours or so unfortunately. Here’s my tip to you, don’t work at Chuck E Cheese if you want to keep your sanity. ;p}
{Aw that’s actually really adorable haha!!! She would totally try and take advantage of it by wanting to ditch him, but at the same time, she wouldn’t want to be alone either. Not in enemy territory, especially after someone is about to bring a traitor back with him. She's gonna have some trust issues after that. ;0}

(Aah that sounds like a very trying job! Children and harried parents and sugar and pizza...Yikes.
Tsk, I imagine so, because by the time Alex gets there Rose will be standing beside the remains of their only means of transportation like 'ah well.' You had one job Rosie. smh But seriously her trust issues would bother him because Rose has a pathological need not only to be loved liked, but he really wants people to trust him. To trust the borderline self-serving double agent...He likes to contradict himself.
I'm happy for you~ Feel free to relax because I still have yet to begin. ^^'
So I'm off to study. Probably. :') )

(Yes right. I'm going to get to studying but first I'm curious- Is Alex French/Canadian/from Louisiana? Or was she just using French at the time? Because I'm still debating on where Rose is from and his being French nobility is one of my options...)

{Alex is gonna be so done with him. Being forced on a mission with him was bad enough, now they have to spend even more time together, which is a pain. But that’s before she realizes she actually enjoys his company for some reason? Her trust issues would still linger, but that didn’t change the fact that he was actually pretty interesting as a person, or rather, vampire.}
{Don’t go getting yourself in trouble now by not studying. ;p}
{Ah, yes. I literally tossed that word in there because it seemed fitting. Who else would jokingly call someone darling besides Alex? But anyway, I have no idea where she’s from yet. But Rose being French nobility sounds rather interesting! Even with him being superior to her in pretty much every way, she would completely refuse it all.}

(Rose would be both smug and flustered because he knew she couldn't resist his charms. But then it seems like it's becoming the opposite and he's usually more suave than this..?
Haha, I try to trick myself into studying. ^^'
Just you wait, Rose is really big on pet names Whether joking or serious, he'd use like every variation of darling in every language he knows. ^^' Ah, and that's his problem with her. I imagine she could beat him in a knife fight though, like that Loki vs Valkyrie scene in Ragnarok)

{Alex would enjoy being called darling, even if it was a joke. She would probably grin and respond with something flirty, but the second she turns around, she would be blushing in embarrassment.}
{I also believe Alex would win in a knife fight. Once she's serious, she's terrifying. But then again, she probably wouldn't have to try that hard. She is 100% confident in her knife abilities. She would instantly lose in a sniping contest, and probably a fist-fight too. But she would never, ever, bring that up.}

(Haha, that would be too cute! Rose would be the same though- He can be incredibly flirty but when it concerns someone he actually has feelings for, he forgets that he's actually supposed to be good at this and is just a blushing mess.
Rose would very carefully tease her from a distance then. x3

"And I told you not to address me so familiarly." Was his arch response, though it was doubtful that Kaltman had heard, as she had already disappeared from view. The speed and ease with which she could utterly erase her presence was both impressive and unnerving- A boon only when it wasn't used against him, though it made him wary nonetheless. Ambrosius isn't exactly the fastest or strongest of vampires; his senses, heightened even beyond the predatory norm, are primarily what set him apart. And yet Kaltman manages to subvert them more often than not when she truly sets her mind to it. It's almost as maddening as her obvious disdain for the very space he occupies.
He frowns in the general direction she'd left, but doesn't move until the first choked off cry interrupts the exchange of gunfire that Terrence is trading with the human located in one of the buildings across from them. Ambrosius checks the placement of his scarf with one hand whilst turning the startled vampire around with the other. "No need, Kaltman will see to that. Cover me, will you? They're infesting this row as well." He inclines his head toward the crumbling buildings behind them, where he can hear the painstaking placement of boots on gravel. Terrence opens his mouth to respond but Ambrosius cuts him off by raising his hand and gesturing toward the shadowed doorway to his left. Terrence whirls just in time to avoid a wooden crossbow bolt to the back of the head.
He favors the blond with a minute wave before ducking out of view during the ensuing scuffle, using scent and sound to evade further ambush attempts. In this fashion Ambrosius manages to pick his way to the meeting point without major incident and in a timely fashion- There was a moment where soot had stained the dove gray of his coat and he was tempted to clean it immediately before it worsened, but the mere thought of the look on Kaltman's face if he arrived even a second after the agreed upon time kept him going. Albeit grudgingly. This doesn't quite diminish his feelings toward a reunion with a friend that he hasn't seen years, however.
Godfrey Freer is a reedy remnant of the American civil war, with watery brown eyes, mousy facial hair, and perpetually hunched shoulders, he doesn't exactly cut an intimidating figure even amidst the clinging shadows of the misshapen warehouse. This is perhaps the reason he's managed to survive as long as he has. That and his knack for being in the right place at the right time, as he is now.
Ambrosius' irritation gives way to a genuine smile that is revealed in all its dazzling beauty when he tugs his scarf lower, steps light as he crosses the room and clasps the thinner man on the shoulder.
"Oddy~ It's been too long!"
"Rose." A greeting. Then, "It's been two years." A laborious correction, pale eyes meeting the more vibrant gaze with quiet intensity. Uncharacteristic intensity. Godfrey rarely looks anyone in the eye, he prefers focusing on everything at once.
Ambrosius arches a brow, but files this away to be examined at a later date. "War can make a day feel like thirty." His smile is more wry now, and he steps back but maintains his grip, lightly tugging his friend after him as he begins to move toward the door. "Come, I'm on the clock and I need you to act as a buffer for Kaltman-"
"How would you know what that feels like?"
Ambrosius does not stop in his tracks, but he does slow, casting a puzzled glance over his shoulder. "Know what what feels like? Being on the clock? Time is only an illusion when I wish it to be." Another teasing smile. It isn't returned, not that he expects it to be, but Godfrey usually at least snorts at him.
"War." Is his only reply. Godfrey continues to stare almost pensively at him, and Ambrosius can feel it despite having returned a large portion of his attention to their surroundings. They're walking along the outskirts of the town now, keeping out of sight, but he wouldn't put it past their enemies to have arranged more than one ambush.
"Ah," He sighs. "This again." Godfrey happened to be one of those people who were convinced that their suffering was unique in a way no one else's was. He didn't always make it apparent, but perhaps years of acting on his own had brought the memories back and given him little else to dwell on.
"There are experiences that everyone shares, regardless of their level of involvement in a central issue." His rejoinder is light. Ambrosius knows that not all aspects of his reputation are as shining as he'd prefer them to be, but it's strange that Godfrey would remark on it even obliquely when he wasn't meant to have contact with anyone who would know him well enough to exchange gossip- And Ambrosius had made certain that the humans only barely knew of his existence.
To change the subject and cover the -hated- silence, he fills the taciturn man in on the events of the day, remarking on their lackluster ambush and Kaltman's insistence on finding every opportunity to express her utterly unfathomable contempt for him.
"I think she might be touched in the head." Ambrosius muses in a tone that's part solemnity and part wonder as he deactivates the camouflage on their car. "There's no other plausible explanation for- Really now?" His conversational tone lowers into a sigh. Soft, so that he can prevent it from becoming a snarl.
A barely-there tension had settled between them since the end of the non-conversation, but Ambrosius had brushed it off as the edginess that always accompanied an agent who had been on the job too long. He had done so knowing that there was more to it than that, but Ambrosius only saw what he wanted to see. Didn't he? And yet when he turns around, he knows what he will see. And he knows that he doesn't want to see that, either.
He turns. Spins on his heel with an irate tilt to his mouth. Godfrey stands braced, shoulders back, leveling a pistol at the space in between his narrowed eyes yet can barely meet them with his own. There's the Godfrey he knows. Oh how ironic.
"Oddy," Ambrosius begins in a deceptively airy tone. "What is it that you think you're doing, exactly?"
"You're-"
"Surrounded, I know." He huffs. "Honestly, no originality."

(Sorry for the delay, lengthy as promised! Though I actually tried to shorten it some...
I was thinking that the humans in the initial ambush were a distraction and these ones are the Main Event.
Writing this actually made me sad. x'3 Rosie really loves his friends and wants to see the best in people to an almost childish degree. Which is yet another contradiction, because he can generally read people like a book. Also whoops, I accidentally made Godfrey an important character who will be revisited later? Not a good thing for Rose...He shouldn't have given Godfrey such a childish nickname.
But here you get to see another side of him! His penchant for affectionate touches comes from his culture. That I'm still debating on, but they all have that in common, I believe. Greek? Spanish? Italian..? Either way I suppose it's also reflected in his speech pattern, which kind of models an accent when he's with those he trusts.
Also as previously mentioned- He's actually not exceptionally fast or strong by vampire standards, but he has hella stamina & endurance and his senses are so well-honed that he can hear heartbeats miles away and as kind of shown here, he can sense both emotional and physical shifts in the air. This is all partly because Canon!Rose has the power/magical abilities of Charmspeak, Empathy, and is borderline psychic. I tried to condense those to make them more natural and realistic here-
Haha, I imagine Alex would have a field day because Rose actually blushes so much. It's one of his more closely guarded secrets.
Sorry for the sudden Rose spam! I just really love him. Can you tell?
I'm excited too~ And kind of worried...But I'll do my best~ Also I'm finishing up two of my classes soon, so I'll be slightly less busy.)

{Holy c r a p that’s long, but I absolutely love reading long replies! I’m just not very good at producing long replies myself. ;v;}
{Haha, now’s the time for her to get serious then!}
{Aw, poor Rose, to have an old friend turn on him. Alex is going to freak when she sees him surrounded, with a gun turned on him. So since Godfrey is important now, should he escape in the midst of Alex’s second massacre of the day, or should Alex end up killing him? The second option seems like it would probably break poor Rose’s heart, even if the guy held a gun to his head.}
{Ooh, also, I was thinking that all of Alex’s other senses {Besides fighting and agility} weren’t exactly the best, so Rose having the other things you mentioned like sensing heartbeats and such works out rather perfectly! She wouldn’t dare say it, but they would make a great team!!!!!}

(Not a problem~ That was just uncommonly lengthy because I had a lot to pack into a short time frame and didn't want to drag it out. ^^'
Probably. :'3 I do think Godfrey should escape, because what he was talking about was foreshadowing. And also he doesn't plan to actively join in the fighting, he just pulled that stunt because he knew it would mess with Rose's head enough for the humans to get the drop on him.
Oh, that's cool because they would! And we didn't even coordinate it. xj)

{Alright, sweet! ;3 I'll try and see what I can do to allow him time to escape haha. Although, she would immediately go for Godfrey, because he seems the most threatening, to her anyway. Nobody points a gun at Ambrosius. Not on her watch. And even if Rose is capable of taking Godfrey down if he wanted, which he is, she would still try and help him first. c;}

The young woman hiked alongside the trees, keeping an eye out for any sign of Ambrosius, or any possible enemies. The twenty minutes they agreed upon were almost up and she was starting to lose faith in the guy; but nonetheless, she started quickening her pace anyway in hopes of a miracle. Yawning, the vampire stuffed one hand in her pocket, taking a moment to enjoy the silence. And for the record, she did hear his last comment. Just barely, but it was there.
The vampire moved her hand to her back, feeling where the wooden stake had punctured her. Sure enough, when she took her hand back, they were stained a deep crimson color. Great, now her favorite leather jacket was ruined. It almost made her sad, until she realized who she sounded like. Ugh, he was rubbing off on her after all. His bad habits of caring about appearance above everything else, that is. In her defense, it was her only leather jacket, and she was not about to go through the trouble of getting a new one.
-
A couple minutes of walking later, she swore she heard voices up ahead, catching the end of a conversation. And...speak of the devil. One of those voices belonged to none other than Rose. Grinning to herself, she quickened her steps once more, excited to finally be able to go back to their current base. It was only when she got closer that her grin fell, and she slowed to a stop. Yes, she was relieved to see him. But not in a situation like this.
"You brought a traitor?" Her voice raised at the end as she emphasized the last word, tone laced with shock. "You idiot." Alexandria concluded with a heavy sigh, eyes making their way from Rose to Godfrey, trying to decide what the best course of action was. There were other humans as well, plenty of them. Some had turned their weapons over to her as she spoke, but that wouldn't be a problem. It was Rose who was in more trouble, because that foolish vampire let his guard down.
Shaking her head, she made her way straight to Godfrey, reaching for a knife in one of her pockets. But she didn't use it on him, actually. Her initial thought was to knock the gun away so he couldn't use it, so that was the first thing she did, grabbing and twisting the man's arm the wrong way, forcing him to drop the gun. In the middle of doing so, she handed the knives to Ambrosius, expecting him to join in the fight. Being surrounded by this many people wasn't just a job for one person. "Watch my back, and I'll watch yours. Also, take care of that contact of yours, would you? He's your responsibility." After that, the woman concentrated on covering Ambrosius, grunting at the wound on her back as she moved.
This contact of his, damn him, brought some pretty frustrating humans along with him. Even she had a bit of trouble, as the enemies were able to push the two deeper into unknown territory. It costed her a few new scars here and there, but none of the humans were able to get to Rose, like she had promised. A quick strike to the neck with her blades was usually all it took to end the fragile humans.
Searching the bodies for any goodies, she called back over her shoulder, "How are things on your end? Need any help?" Oh boy, she wasn't going to let him live this one down. Ever.

Ah, in which case he'd be more insulted because she sees him as needing help in the first place. Haha, probably. Rose tends to handle the commander's personnel problems- Such as smoothing over interactions and handling the fine details behind the scenes. Van Dalen has no patience for that.

So I have the outline of my reply but I won't be able to write for a bit. ^^' I have a lot on my plate right now...If all goes well, I should have it up around Sunday?

That truly is all part of the plan. Rose has made it so that he can pretty much do as he pleases. He wouldn't truly blame Alex- not completely- but he'd definitely allude to it. A lot.
x3 Well I do imagine him to be the strict no nonsense type- If it makes her feel any better, he's sick of Ambrosius too. But he's forced to keep them both because they're useful.)
