Honestly, I don't know how to feel about them anymore. They're clearly capable of writing some seriously good books, but their lack of communication, the continuity is in complete shambles, no consistency, even contradicting. It's rather ridiculous. When the fans know more about the characters than the authors themselves, you know there's a problem. The Erins even sometimes letting their biases leak into the book, even if it's against logic.
Though it's unclear if they can take the blame as HarperCollins are the ones that give them ridiculously tight deadlines and no time to brainstorm, literally only having time to write what first comes to mind. It's hard to tell if they even care about the series even more, which I wouldn't blame them for, as Kate and Cherith simply write out the stories, already given a remade 'skeleton'/plan, made by Vicky or HarperCollins stuff. So they're forced to write 2 books a year, they don't even have control of and rushed quality. After 20+ books, most people would be fend up.
But if the Erins really feel like this, then they should let some of the talented passionate fans take over. A new face just might just be what the series needs by this point.

Everyone should be respected no matter what. But I don't blame some fans being angry at them for certain situations, like author bias, the terrible writing quality, the situation with Su (though this was mostly on Vicky's part), and so on.
Personally I just don't care anymore and I no longer accept their words as canon. The wiki is also a mess so I don't look up to that anymore either. I have no opinion on them. The only strong opinion I have on one Erin is Vicky, but that doesn't mean I will disrespect her. She's going through a lot right now and she deserves respect.
Point is, whether we respect the Erins or not doesn't really change opinions from the fans. They're gonna either like or dislike the Erins. Nothing we can really do about it.

the situation with Su (though this was mostly on Vicky's part) Honestly, unlike many people, I actually liked Su was trying to do, she was the only one who could and would, fix the mess the Erins had made. On the whole, I don't think what she doing was harmful in anyway, simply naming obscure kits, bridging the gaps between family ties and adding small/unimportant details, just to flesh out the characters/world a bit more. Which didn't affect the cannon hugely. As a writer who likes to stick to the canon, this was especially useful, as the information was softened for me. Now I have to slug through timelines and alliances to figure out everything myself. There was only the occasional misstep like with Lilywhisker and Brightflower, but that was only because the reasons she gave were vague. If she'd just gone into more detail, I'm sure she could come up with good justification for why they're there. I personally find it quite interesting, how those seemly good cats were able to turn evil. As we need more she-cats in the Dark Forest and proving that anyone can turn evil. No one is immune to the Dark Forest. (As long as author bias doesn't get in the way.) As right now, the Dark Forest cats are rather 1 dimensional, no personailty outside of being evil. It would be interesting to see one who actually regrets their actions. As long as Su doesn't overstep her borders and keep to the nameless characters that won't affect the characters then that's fine. <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.299999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 19.12px; height: 3.3px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 0px; top: 0px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_81874293"></iframe> <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.299999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 19.12px; height: 3.3px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 896px; top: -380px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_39107423"></iframe> <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.299999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 19.12px; height: 3.3px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 10px; top: -269px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_83406728"></iframe> <iframe width="19.120000000000005" height="3.299999999999997" style="position: absolute; width: 19.12px; height: 3.3px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 896px; top: -269px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_28778636"></iframe> I honestly wouldn't mind if she becomes an official Erin, she seems to have a tighter grasp on the cannon then any of the current authors. Also, you can't blame the Warriors Wiki for being so inconsistent. It's like that because the books are like that, they're just trying to do their best to sort out the Erins' mess.

I respect them. I don't agree with everything they do, and some of what the plotlines are kind of...questionable, but at the end of the day it's a book about talking cats, so there's no reason for me to stop respecting them. Like Aqua said, everyone deserves respect (unless they do something outrageously awful.)

I do respect them. I may have lost a bit of my old interest in Warriors in the past two or three years, but that won't change the fact that it was the first actual series I read and that some inspiration may have come from it. Even if I only look at spoilers now, I'm still glad that books are still written for the people who adore them. I only wish the Erins actually had the freedom to write whatever they'd like in Warriors...

Seeing that Warriors is what got me into writing, I do have respect for them. My interest in the series has died down recently due to me getting older and discovering new interests, and I no longer read the books. I want to finish DOTC and some of the Super Editions but I haven't had the time for them.

Not really, and not because I'm trying to be mean or because I hate them. I don't really have a problem with any of them, except for Vicky but even then it's not a big deal. I just don't feel anything for them. It's hard to explain

I've still got some respect for them, but me looking up to them in the past is slowly starting to wane.
