I never understood this, why does the fandom as well as the Erins treat Ashfur any differently from the other villains? Clawface only killed 1, yet he's the Dark Forest. Hawkfrost only tried to kill 1, yet is in the Dark Forest. Yet here we are with Ashfur, attempted 4 victims and he's in Starclan? You get arguments trying to defend him, that would never be used for any other villains, 'He only loved to much.'. That's like saying, 'Tigerstar was only too ambitious', yet you never hear this said.
What is it about Ashfur that gets him so much pity? Why is he treated any differently?

I feel like this is a bit of an overload on Ashfur threads, isn't it? The horse is dead already.

The majority of fans hate Ashfur at this point. The Ashfur Wars have come and gone, as has the fandom he used to have. After TFW came out at his popularity dropped very quickly.
To boil it down, author bias. That's it, case closed. We'll never get resolution on this.

Why do the authors have a bias toward him, when they don't this for the any other villain? What is it especially for his character? Is it because he acts overemotional/childish? Or it is because since Ashfur blames Squirrelflight, some of the readers do?

Take it from me. Sometimes we just don't get an answer to 'why', or a clear and neat solution. Vicky might be mildly sexist and biased, who the hell knows. Just roll with it and embrace the insanity. My personal favorite Ashfur caricature is Yandere!Ashfur in Yuno Gasai's pigtails.

Ashfur is treated differently because Vicky is biased towards him. She's stated in the past that she can relate to his feelings, and thus doesn't think he did anything wrong. Since she was like the main Erin in charge, she got what she wanted and put him in StarClan. Kate hates Ashfur, so I'm sure if she got her way he'd be in the Dark Forest. No idea what Cherith thinks. But that's really the only reason. Ashfur was Vicky's little baby, so of course he got special treatment when he shouldn't have. Just another case of Vicky's bias. Same reason why Sorreltail died because Vicky hates happy relationships and killed Sorreltail iust to make Brackenfur miserable.

It's the fandom's mindset to hate hetero male characters. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well....Ashfur's kind of treated differently by fandom, too. I've never seen such hatred for a villain before in the series. Most times, when you have a villain, you're like, 'oh, wow, this guy's a jerk. I like how evil he is!'
Maybe his sexist actions just hit too close to home?

I'd argue he's hated because he's not treated as a villain. People think he's gotten a way his crimes scot-free. If he was in the Dark Forest, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

Ashfur went to StarClan because of author bias, he was a main character and one of Vicky's favorites so they let him go to StarClan with the lame excuse that he "loved too much".
