I haven't been really doing any animation between these two time periods, but I have been doing a decent amount of art which does help tons when doing frames. So I thought I'd make something to compare these wips to show y'all that animation really isn't as hard as it looks? The frames are hard tho, and you can see I still haven't even MESSED with trying to do camera movement. I'm still a newbie, but improvement is a thing. So yeahhhh
all have been made in firealpaca and gif'ed right out of those frames.
October, the first 'animatic'
learned more the mechanics and how frames worked. and to get this scene out of my head.
This is like? December I think?
A bit more finished? Things are lined. I did mess with camera in the first three frames so yay me. Also worked in folder frames for ~layers~ and jazz
Today
Tbh I can just do them so much faster now. This has more frames than the other two and took me wayyyy less time to sketch/block (~1h)
ig just an update. I'm alive. Yay.
and also to show that animation isn't just for professionals. Firealpaca is freakin free software that runs on any computer. Give it a try it's really fun and is a great new way to get ideas out.
