You can use imgur, gayazo, tinypic, photobucket, and deviantart to upload images and add their URL.

Basically what nidoking said. The old forums were not cheap to maintain, and attachment space was one of those things. Being user-run, we do have a limited budget now. ;D

But there are many other ways to add images, and just as easy. tutorial
