You didn't mean to stumble upon anything, you promise. To put it simply, you were following the scent of mouse, too distacted to notice the way obvious presence of other cats nearby. You could blame it on the hunger, sure, but in reality, you were just distracted. When a large, muscular tom steps in front of you, though, it catches your attention, and you stop dead in you tracks, eyes going wide. "Who are you?" You blink, at the way he sounds so civil, before your eyes narrow, a little suspiciously. Behind him, there's another tom with grey fur, and a she-cat sat back on her haunches. In response, you puff out your chest, to make yourself seem a little bigger. "Who are you?" You demand. He huffs, almost as if he were amused. "My name is Cedarstar," he replies. "And you're on my territory right now." It's then that you notice the smell. This place has been marked time and time again, and if you hadn't been so caught up, you would have noticed, and likely not strayed so far. Still, it's a little too late to run away now, considering the cat standing in front of you. "Your... territory?" You ask. "I'm the leader of Willowclan," Cedarstar says. "And you have some explaining to do."

Welcome to Willowclan, clan of the strong and unyielding. For several moons, the clan has lead by their leader Cedarstar, formerly the deputy to Fallenstar, who was descended from Willowstar herself. Under Cedarstar's leadership, the clan continues to hold strong through the years. They're very open and welcoming, which has helped to sustain their population for as long as they've lived. After all, Willowclan itself sprang up from a pack of loners aching to find somewhere to call home and someone to call family. In fact, Willowclan operates similar to a large family. Every cat cares for and about each other. Everyone pitches in to help raise and teach kits, warriors help the medicine cats to gather herbs, and they back each other up without question. Willowclan, as a whole, is a tightly knit group of cats prepared to defend themselves, and their home, with their lives. Are you willing to accept Willowclan as your own? Will you fit into the cohesive unit of the clan, or will you throw a wrench in the works, like a cog put in the wrong place? Only time will tell.

∙ First and foremost, be kind to each other. I'm all for drama in the role-play world but I'd prefer person to person interactions be drama-free. ∙ No Mary Sues, Gary Stus, the like. I'm sure we've all been here long enough to know what that means. ∙ No God-modding, force-mating, or controlling other characters. This includes killing someone's character without the role-player's explicit permission. ∙ Ask before introducing large plot points that can affect the entire clan. I'm all for creating big, fun plots, but ask before you do so. ∙ Obey forum rules. 'Nuff said. ∙ Try to keep the she-cat and tom ratio balanced, just to make all our lives easier. ∙ Please be active, on for several times a week, and literate. At least three lines per post is a good thing to measure against. ∙ No spamming or filling the chat thread with OOC unless you're also role-playing at the time. ∙ You may only have one important role in the clan at a time. [These roles being Leader, Deputy, Medicine Cat, and Medicine Cat apprentice.] I will be picking the deputy myself. ∙ Have fun, y'all! The forums are here so we can have fun!

Cedarstar is almost a looming presence, built bulky with a lot of muscle, and towers over most cats. While he may not be the fastest, his muscle mass and size give him the advantage in most fights against cats of smaller sizes. | | Cedarstar is a warm, fuzzy kind of guy, a natural born leader. As a younger warrior, he was stubborn and headstrong, but age has made him both calmer and wiser. He cares a lot about his clan, and his love for them is genuine. However, he tends to act more on logic rather than emotion, largely due to the fact that he's had become a more reasonable cat as he's aged and become leader. | | Duskpaw is his son. | | karat |
Deputy -Will be Chosen-
Medicine Cat | Sleetscar | | Male || Medicine Cat | | A bulky, tree-built tom with muscles as solid as stone. The first thing you'd notice about Sleetscar is the heavy scarring he bears. His light grey, dappled pelt is marred with ugly, purpose-filled scars. He is missing small patches of fur along his spine and around his neck, and both ears are tattered and ripped. | | A quiet cat, Sleetscar hides a lot of nervousness beneath his calm exterior. If you look closely you'd see that his eyes have a glint of fear to them. For a nervous cat, he's actually quite cool and calculating, excelling astoundingly in planning and forethought. He's a dedicated cat, even if a bit jittery at times, though has difficulty seeing things from other's viewpoints. Despite having no kits himself, he has always possessed a protective, friendly demeanor that often makes kittens feel comfortable. As such, most of his spare time will be spent fussing about the queens, and taking their kits off their paws for a bit so they can rest. If there's something he truly finds joy in, it's entertaining and taking care of others - he'd make an excellent queen, and would certainly do well as a compassionate medicine cat. It can actually be quite hard to anger him, though he vehemently objects to being sent out alone with a single cat, and will argue for someone else to accompany them. | | He would have been named Sleetwhisker, if his scarring wasn't such a prominent feature | | Dingo Xylingo |
Medicine Cat Apprentice -Open-
Warriors | Stormspot | | She-Cat || Warrior | | Stormspot's fur has blue eyes and grey fur, with darker grey spots that look a little blue-ish. She is lean and long, with skinny muscles. Her legs are short compared to the length of her body. Her paws are also quite small, but besides that fact, she looks rather like she should be a swimming-type of cat. | | Stormspot is a little bit of a quiet cat. She's smart, logical, and she definitely more withdrawn than most of the clan. Still, she has a good sense of humor. However, she doesn't speak to most cats outside of her circle. She mostly sticks to the cats she knows. She can be a bit sarcastic, but all in good fun. Some cats, however, find this off-putting, or assume she does not like them at all. While this is not true, Stormspot doesn't go herself many favors in being so introverted. | | karat |
| Blackfire | | Tom || Warrior | | Blackfire is, as his name implies, a predominantly black tom. He has short hair, and a long russet stripe down his back, all the way to the tip of his tail, which is also colored. He has large paws even compared to his well-built, muscular frame, and are also the same color as the line down his back. | | Blackfire is a calm voice of reason is the center of a storm. He's not the loudest or the bravest, but he is smart. He likes to think things out before she says them. His quiet nature might make him seem sullen, or anti-social. This is not the truth, however, as Blackfire really does enjoy his clan-mates, and conversing with them. Despite being a younger warrior, he carries a quiet wisdom more likely to be seen in those older than him. He can still be the sort of naïve common among those less experienced, but it is much less likely from him. Overall, a decent sort of cat, and a good one to have on your side when you need good advice, even if he may seem unapproachable. | | karat |
| Tideclaw | | Male || Warrior | | A large, dark blue-grey tom with thick, tufted, raggy fur. He has a snowy white underbelly and neck, and his feet/tail are tabbied. | | An ambitious cat, Tideclaw is always seeking to better himself. He's very judgemental, and it's quite difficult to break his views of others once he's set them. Very brash and loud, Tideclaw is not at all a gentle giant, known instead for his sarcastic/witty remarks, and a tongue that could slice a boulder in half. He's a cat to throw himself into the thick of it with little forethought, and will accept punishment [to a degree] before admitting his wrongs. Tideclaw has an almost kitlike energetic aura to him, constantly leaping from one thing to the next at the slightest hint of boredom or irritation. A very black-and-white cat, to Tideclaw things are either right or wrong, and if it's inbetween, then it's wrong. Tideclaw is very confident, perhaps overly so, which often manifests itself into Tideclaw taking risks. He has a soft-spoken voice, yet seems to have an almost sinister aura around him. He's not afraid to challenge an idea, no matter who it came from, if he feels it is wrong. | | Moonstreak's brother | | Dingo Xylingo |
| Moonstreak | | Female || Warrior | | A lean, dark blue warrior with a white facial mask. Her fur lightens towards her belly, legs. She has a piercing, dark blue eye with a single black spot beside it, and a dark amber eye. | | A rather cold cat, Moonstreak is surprisingly not all that open to her clanmates. She has a similar bold and brash attitude like her brother, and has the same ambition to better herself - though this is in becoming the fastest cat in history rather than climbing the ranks. She's judgemental, though is more open to reasoning than her stubborn brother, but has the same black-and-white viewpoint on everything. She's just slightly more inclined to turn her head. She has a soft spot for young kits - the older ones are a bit rowdy for her - and may form an unwanted attachment to them. Though her appearance and aura can be quite intimidating, Moonstreak is actually borderline neutral-good natured when approached in the right way by apprentices. She's very good at holding a grudge, though is known to set it aside if the situation suggests. Moonstreak is known for harsh teaching methods, though is also reputed to have produced highly skilled apprentices even if they hate her training [to start with]. She's rumoured to feel very close to her apprentices, even if that's shown by drilling them from before sunrise to after sunset. Her training is very spontaneous, often consisting of midnight wake up calls - if an apprentice can fight like a seasoned warrior in the dark, they can fight like a seasoned warrior in the light. Moonstreak truly strives to be the best warrior, and to train the best warriors for her clan. | | Tideclaw's sister | | Dingo Xylingo |
| Cardinalheart | | Tom || Warrior | | A lithe, ginger tom with dark, almost black eyes. Cardinalheart has long legs and is an adept hunter. He can run and swim incredibly fast. He has a thin frame that makes him easy to strike down, but his agility can help him evade his attacker until he can get in an attack. | | Cardinalheart is confident in all his actions and words. He rarely admits when he is wrong. He is loud and is the first one to start conversations when things get quiet. He has a tendency to flirt with cats who he perceives to be interested, and he is usually wrong. Cardinalheart holds grudges for longer than healthy, and never forgets a face. | | A young warrior. | | Dawnrise |
| Doegaze | | She-Cat || Warrior | | A she-cat with a pure black with gray specks, she has one blind eye and her other eye is crystal colored. | | Kind and willing to die for the clan. She is shy and skittish. She likes to pass on what she learned in her old clan, Mossclan, to the apprentices of the clan. At one point, she was offered training in the dark forest to better her skills, but she refuses to use the training. | | Doegaze's parents were the leaders of two defunct clans, Mossclan and Darkstar. | | 🔻Puppydawg🔻 |
Apprentices | Duskpaw | | Tom || Apprentice | | A bright brown tom with darker tabby markings and amber eyes. He's built lean, a slim body with a sort of hunter's build. His fur and pelt colors come from his father, while his body comes from his (now deceased) dead mother. However, unlike Cedarstar, he has dark grey paws and ears, and his tail tip is also dark grey. | | Loud, bright-eyed and ready for action. The epitome of the kid on the sidelines shouting 'put me in coach!', Duskpaw is eager to learn and even more so to provide for his clan. He is a little goofy, and oblivious, but his ability to think outside the box more than makes up for it. He may not be the best fighter, but he is a talented hunter and a quick study. | | Cedarstar is his father. | | karat |
| Thistlepaw | | She-Cat || Apprentice | | A gray tabby she-cat with blue eyes and darker grey tabby markings. Her underbelly and muzzle are both white, and this white continues down the inside of her legs, and covers her back leg paw. On top of this, her flank is specked with dots of pale grey, underneath the tabby markings. | | Thistlepaw is bright-eyed and warm. She's certainly friendly, and can be quite kind. Nobody would call her shy, persay, but she could be construed as quiet. When she was a kit, everyone was sure she would be a medicine cat apprentice, due to the way she always seemed to have her head in the clouds, but Thistlepaw thrives on her ability to provide. She has that quiet determination to serve her clan, and it will treat her well. | | karat |
| Riverpaw | | Female || Apprentice | | An average looking jet black female with a scarred cheek and muzzle, and a deep split in one ear. She is missing a few whiskers and has a slight limp, made worse by cold weather, though this has little effect on her abilities. | | Riverpaw bears a bit of a grudge toward Sleetscar, and goes out of her way to avoid him for some reason. That aside, she is as hard working and committed as any other clanmate. Unfortunately, she lets her heritage get to her head, and has a bit of a superiority complex. She is sharp-tongued and knows how to change her exterior to manipulate others. Very observant, Riverpaw is certainly more interested in watching and/or formulating a plan, and ironing out kinks, before leaping into battle. She has a very precise mind, unfortunately sometimes leading her to take too long - a lack of instinct usage makes her a poor hunter on an average day. As you'd expect, she does excel in silent movement, and is quite good at slinking around a battlefield unnoticed to find the prime target. She bears heavy prejudice against anyone outside her clan and is understandably rude to newcomers. | | Dingo Xylingo |
Queens | Sunpetal | | She-cat || Queen | | Sunpetal is a cream she-cat with beige points and pale yellow eyes. She has long, silky fur, that is a comfort for her kits to sleep beside. Sunpetalis shorter than most cats, and a little chubby. She is a slow runner and a poor fighter, but she can manage to hunt for herself and her kits if need be. | | Sunpetal is fiercely protective of her family more than anything else. If it meant she has to betray her Clan for them she would do it in an instance. She is commonly cheery and optimistic, even when the going gets tough. Sunpetal is inherently trusting, which makes her easy to trick or take advantage of. She acts motherly to those she cares about and is able to know when others are hungry or upset easily. | | Cardinalkit is part of her first litter. Open to a mate. | | Dawnrise |
Kits | Honeykit | | Tom || Kit | | Honeykit is a thin, tawny tomcat with large, yellow eyes and a kinked tail. He has a pale underbelly and white mittens. | | Honeykit is quiet and thoughtful. He hates being rushed, and he can easily get distracted by new activities. He is very observant and curious, leading him to often poke his nose into business that isn't his own. He can be insensitive to other's feelings at times, but he ultimately doesn't mean to hurt anyone. | | He is Sunpetal's son. | | Dawnrise |

Duskpaw padded out of the apprentice's den, yawning a little. There were still a few scraps of moss clinging to his pelt, which he did his best to shake off as he blinked the sleep from his eyes. Still, a few stubborn pieces of green stayed embedded in his flank, and he simply decided to ignore it, instead turning his face up to enjoy the feeling of sunshine coming through the trees. It was a nice enough day, and the feeling of the sunlight on his fur was worth however tired he still felt. Thistlepaw herself was already in the camp's clearing, sunning herself on a rock in the clearing. She had to agree that it was a nice day, but unlike Duskpaw, she wasn't all that tired. Whereas he often spent a good while after sundown thinking about one day being a warrior, Thistlepaw did the sensible thing: she went to sleep. As such, she had woken up well rested this morning, and was taking a moment to enjoy the weather before someone came along and gave her something to do, probably something along the lines of cleaning ticks out of the elder's pelts. Cedarstar and Blackfire padded back into camp together. They'd left around sunhigh, doing a quick sweep of the area north of camp. This was due to the fact that a little more than a half moon ago, they'd found a fox den in the area. There'd been none of the creatures there, but the scent of them still lingered, meaning they' visited recently. Since then, however, they hadn't spotted the animal, and the smell was fading every day. Pretty soon, they were sure it would be gone completely. [ Dingo Xylingo you're all set pal!! For mentors, I had Blackfire mentor Riverpaw, and had Moonstreak mentor Duskpaw, bc Dusk is a good cat and everything, but he needs to get whipped into shape.]

[Boop I'm awake and up now after sleeping like all day xD Mentoring is cool, no problems here c: Time to crack my knuckles and get back into RPing so coolio here I go]
Tideclaw and Moonstreak were sharing a squirrel, taking turns to tear mouthfuls off the prey. Tideclaw pricked his ears, head almost snapping to attention at the sight of Duskpaw emerging from the apprentice den.
"I'm surprised you didn't wake him up once the moon started setting," Tideclaw mewed mildly, slowly returning his attention to his sister. The blue-grey female gave no response, seemingly ignoring her brother as she slowly chewed up her mouthful. "You mean you let him have the morning to sleep?" Tideclaw added in mock surprise. Moonstreak fixed him with a narrow eyed glare, tail tip twitching in annoyance.
"Not every training session has to be held at the very sight of sunlight." The queen glanced up at Duskpaw, then ducked her head to tear a strip of flesh off the squirrel - for her apprentice. Leafbare would bring little food, so if Duskpaw got used to the idea of eating mere mouthfuls before training, leafbare would be easier for him to power through.
"Duskpaw!" Moonstreak called, voice firm, gesturing to him with her tail. Now was as good a time as any to start the day, it seemed. Tideclaw accepted the remains of the squirrel from his sister - who would now be more interested in her apprentice - and hastily wolfed them down. He pricked his ears in anticipation - Blackfire and Cedarstar had to be due back any moment now.
"Oh no, no no!" Sleetscar let out a low, quiet wail, but quickly shut his jaws. He'd just separated his old, dusty herbs from the fresher stock when he'd turned around and knocked the piles over. Now they were mixed up again. "Great StarClan, no! The juniper berries are covered in moss, and now half of them have been sliced open by th- oh great!" The pale tom lifted a paw, revealing crushed berries squishing between his toes. And getting stuck in his fur. Sleetscar bent his head, roughly licking as much of the juniper berry remains off as he could, face screwed up at the taste. It was certainly no wonder the warriors acted like kits when they came in for treatment.
Paw sufficiently washed, Sleetscar turned back to his messy den. Great StarClan! He'd deal with it later. Right now he wanted fresh air. Sweeping the mess to the back of the den, Sleetscar gave his paw one last wash before leaving his den. The sun felt nice on his face, and he took a deep breath, enjoying the openness compared to his stuffy den. The tom leaned back, belly touching the ground, then arched his back as high as he could before leaning forward. So the day was off to a bad start, sure, but that didn't mean it was going to be a bad day.
Belly up, Riverpaw was enjoying a morning lounge in the sun just outside the apprentice den. "Morning, Duskpaw!" She called lazily, stretching out a foreleg as if she was trying to touch him. Riverpaw rolled onto her side and curved up, reaching her paws way above her head, then propped herself up in a half-sitting position. With a purr of contentment she shook herself, getting rid of all the sleep from her body. Now she was ready to start the day.

[ my wifi has been blanking out, and reset this message twice after I finished it, so it took a while as I had to fix the wifi and I was a lil frustrated. ]
Duskpaw gave greeting to Riverpaw in the form of a flick of his tail when he heard his mentor call his name. In a way, he was sort of grateful to her at the moment, having been allowed so much sleep. He hadn't been woken in the middle of the night, or at the earliest crack of sunlight, and although he wanted another few moments in his nest, he knew he shouldn't take advantage. Besides, it was better to come out of the den on his own than try and see how much he could get away with before Moonstreak came in to rouse him herself. Besides, the sun was fairly bright in the sky, and even though there was a bit of leaf-fall chill in the air, it was a nice day, which put him in an upbeat sort of mood, even if he knew Moonstreak would likely run him ragged.
When he turned to catch sight of his mentor- and the strip of squirrel he knew was likely for him- he straightened, from the set of his shoulders to his tail, dropping his head in respect for a moment. "Good morning, Moonstreak," he greeted.
Blackfire offered a nod to Cedarstar as the two of them parted at the entrance to camp upon coming back from searching the territory. He paused for a moment to shake out his pelt, took a second or two to groom the fur on his chest, before glancing around the clearing. He took note of Tideclaw and his sister, the latter's apprentice only a few fox-lengths away. On the other side of the camp, he spotted his own apprentice outside her den, clearly trying to stretch out under the sunlight.
The dark-pelted tom made his way over with an amused sort of hum. "Enjoying yourself, Riverpaw?" He asked, a note of humor coloring his voice.

OOC: Do we have a territory description yet? Rp: Cardinalheart stretched his legs before strutting out of the warrior's den, his head held high as he passed into the sunlit clearing. Today's going to be a good day, I can feel it, he thought, glancing at the fresh-kill pile. A little small isn't it? Someone oughta hunt soon. He snatched a mouse from the pile and started to eat.
Honeykit was fixated on a grasshopper which had crawled onto a nearby dandelion. He had been following it around camp all morning, and he was sure that now was his best opportunity to catch it. He moved into the shadow from an overhanging tree and snuck closer to the bug. He got just a few tail-lengths away before he jumped right onto it, hearing a crunch beneath his paws. He squealed with joy and a sense of completion washed over him. He lifted a paw and looked down to see a green mess where the grasshopper had once stood. "Well, now what?" he wondered, realizing his game was over.

[I am, thankfully, home from work. I'll add territory and stuff to the front page tomorrow morning [I've gotta run into work and go to the gym tomorrow, plus I've got a superbowl party to hit), as long as I've got time, Monday at the latest. but for now, it's a lot of trees with a few breaks for clearing, there's a stream to the northwest of the camp that makes an actual line from north to west.]
Stormspot rolled out of the moss that made her nest and took a second to shake herself out, a little bit of green slipping free of her fur when she did so. After stretching out her backlegs, she padded out of the warriors den, careful to step over the cat or two in her way. Being a younger warrior, it wasn't all that hard to extract herself from the outer circle that made up the den, but she still sighed a little when she stepped out into the clearing of the camp. When it was night-time, and chilly, she always found it nice to curl up in the warmth left off by so many cats in one space, but Stormspot always ran hot, and when she woke up, she was often just a little too close to overheated for comfort. She welcomed the slight chill of the breeze when she stepped outside. She took note of both Cardinalheart and the dwindling bit of prey on the fresh-kill pile. Since she didn't feel all that hungry and knowing she could wait until after she caught something for the clan, she glanced towards the entrance of the camp before padding over to tom. "Good morning, Cardinalheart," she greeted. "Would you like to come hunting with me once you've finished eating?"

"Good morning," Moonstreak returned the greeting, offering out the bit of squirrel. "We'll be doing some climbing today," there wasn't much more to it than that. Climbing would be a break from hunting and fighting though, at least. She'd start him off small, on something with plenty of branches, before throwing him up harder trees. Maybe even do a bit of racing - Duskpaw in the trees, Moonstreak on the ground. It wouldn't hurt to know the trees like the back of your paw and to make use of them, especially since they offered plenty of opportunities and advantages to being strictly ground-dwelling.
Moonstreak sat up, giving her brother a sideglance - he was busy washing his muzzle - and simply waited for Duskpaw's ready.
"Mmm, I certainly am, Blackfire! The sunshine is lovely!" Riverpaw responded with a purr, stretching once more as if to show off her glee at the warmth. Another yawn, and she was good.
"So, what are we going to be doing today?" She asked, failing to hide her curiousity. Unsurprisingly. Riverpaw hoped it would be tracking - she was good at that. It didn't require split-second decision making, which frankly she was shocking at.
Sleetscar's eyes lit up at the sight of Honeykit. A slight crunch sound reached his ears, and he internally cringed. The snapping of bones was bad enough, insects being crushed just made him shudder a bit. Anyway, the kit was looking fine - he was pouncing on things, after all, being an energetic kit. Sleetscar let out a short purr, tail curled up in satisfaction.
Fluffing up his fur, he sat down outside his den. What warmth there was was very welcome, for it wouldn't be here long. Sleetscar made a mental note to keep a closer eye on the kits in the time leading up to leafbare. Leafbare was probably the worst time to start an apprenticeship, in his view. There wasn't enough prey around to practice hunting, and a lack of food seemed to make everyone irritable and slightly on edge. Sleetscar sighed, tilting his head to the side in a jerky motion. It would also be harder to find herbs, so he'd need to stock up on as much as he could during leaf-fall. The thought of deadly greencough brought a chill to his spine, and he found himself watching the camp with a more vigilant gaze.

"Sounds great!" Duskpaw chirped, tail flicking through the air once as he tilted his head. He'd always liked trees, found them fascinating, but also a bit intimidating. They'd been around for years, so old and still so strong. And to add on that, the highest he'd ever really been was standing on a tall rock, or peeking over one of the small cliffs nearby. The idea of climbing into a tree was somehow both exhilarating and a little terrifying. Either way, though, Moonstreak was his mentor, as he was more than ready to prove what he could do.
"I was thinking of heading out to one of the clearings nearby and practicing some battle moves," Blackfire told her. There was several breaks in the trees across the territory, and there was one or two not too far from the camp, and Blackfire tended to prefer the closest one for different types of training. "Maybe, if we manage to go over a couple moves in decent time, we can practice your tracking afterwards," he added.

OOC: Cool, feel free to take your time on it. Rp: Cardinalheart nodded as he finished his squirrel. "I'll go, I definitely need to get out of camp, and the fresh-kill pile sure could use a little stocking," he said, finishing up the squirrel. When finished, he lifted himself off the ground and looked to Stormspot. "So, where to?"
Honeykit shook the remains off of his paws and saw an interesting rock. The kit was padding towards the stone when he spotted Sleetscar across the clearing in deep thought. Perfect, Sleetscar always has cool stuff in his den!" He trotted over to the medicine den and tried to look over Sleetscar's shoulder for possible treats before greeting him. "Hi, Sleetscar, need any help?"

[morning!]
"What about the big oak tree north?" Stomrspot suggested. "I think there must be a mouse nest or something nearby, because there's always some sort of prey scurrying around in the roots whenever I head down there. Plus, I think the mice always seem a little bit fatter over there."

OOC: Rp: "Mmm, I could go for a mouse," he mewed, walking out of camp alongside Stormspot. "And they're always so easy to catch when the weather's this nice."

"They are," Stormspot agreed, turning to catch the sunlight with her face as she walked, letting the warmth of the sun drape itself over her pelt and her cheek. "I know leaf-bare will be coming, but I do really wish it could stay like this every moon."

"And the snow is pretty, but it's so cold," she agreed, almost shivering just at thinking about it. "And the trees, when they lose their leaves? They look almost sad, standing there and seeming so empty, like they lost something vital when they shed."

OOC: Rp: Cardinalheart nodded his head, "It's like three straight cursed moons." He turned his head as they reached the oak tree. "Wanna see who can catch the most mice?" he said, a hint of playfulness in his voice.

Stormspot's whiskers twitched with amusement, tail waving high in the air. "Sure," she agreed, padding a little closer to the tree, already trying to catch a smell. "As long as you don't try and steal my mice out from under me."

OOC: Rp: Cardinalheart smiled slightly, of all his skills he was most sure of his hunting ability. He lifted his head and started to pace around the tree's perimeter while he tried to pick up a scent. He stopped as he heard a mouse rustling around and turned to see it occupied by an acorn. Cardinalheart crouch down and bunched up his hindquarters before pouncing towards the creature. The mouse wasn't as distracted as he thought, however, as it dropped the acorn and attempted to dart under a stump. Cardinalheart leaped towards the mouse, using his long legs to propel him forward, and right before it got to safety, Cardinalheart came crashing down. He smiled and looked at Stormspot as he picked up his catch.
