Like for some reason I used to think that whenever I said or thought "I bet" (as in "I bet I can beat this guy in rock-paper-scissors" or "I bet that door will close in five seconds") I was actually making a bet with the devil, and if I lost, he'd take my soul. I devoted copious amounts of energy to making sure that I never even thought the words "I bet" (which, of course, caused me to think it much more often), and if I did, I would quickly and violently think, "NO I DON'T BET", at which point, I assume, the devil would have snapped his fingers, said, "Aw, man!" and walked away disappointed. Yeah I was a strange child.

Now that I think about it, I'm remembering that I was alarmingly interested in demonic things when I was in elementary school. I believed in ghosts, roleplayed being demon-possessed with my friends, and played Bloody Mary in the school bathroom whenever I got the chance. Glad God snapped me out of that, or I might have become an occultist or something as I grew older.

also running up the stairs when the lights downstairs are all off. you feel the need to beat whatever's trying to drag you back down.
i'm really paranoid so all these feelings and very common to me

You're probably right, I still feel weird about it though. I remember my friends lying about seeing Bloody Mary (and plenty of other things, for that matter), but I believed them and couldn't understand why she wouldn't appear to me lel

apparently i used to love the graveyard as a kid its probably just childlike curiosity and wanting to know the weird stuff about the world okay story time
so my brothers attended a catholic boarding school up in north arkansas. now, my oldest bro is ten years my senior, so we'd been visiting the campus (like 4 times yearly) even since i was four, until i was 10. anywho, the school was all-boys and run by benedictine monks. now, since the campus was middle of no-where (they had their own cows), the school has a special building for guest lodging called the Courey House. The school was like a second home to me growing up and getting to visit was a real treat, because my sister and i would get to explore the extensive property, monastery, and buildings. Sometimes we went where we probably won't suppose to, like in the monks' quarters (they found it funny). anywho, the point is that we knew the grounds very well. and, well, right next to the courey house was the graveyard. The main school building was built on top of a hill, and the courey house was right next to it-- its top story was level with the courtyard but its bottom story was level with the bottom of the hill. and next to it, since the courey house was close to the church, was the graveyard. it freaked me out a lot as a kid. my mom had always told me to hold my breath when passing a cemetery or evil spirits would enter me (i get now that she was kidding, but i took it a bit more to heart than she expected). i had bad dreams of skeletons living under my bed at home, so you can imagine my horror about having to sleep next to a boneyard. whenver we'd visit, i'd always pray that we had a room on the far side of the lodge, opposite the graveyard, where i felt much safer. (i figured that if the dead would ridse, they'd go after the closer people first, and i'd have plenty of warning to run. i had problems.) it wasn't helped by the time my brother told me he saw a ghost. he said he was in the dorms, late at night, when he needed to get some water from the water fountain bc he woke up with a dry throat. he says he walked down the hall and saw a hazy monk-- apparently Brother Thomas, who had recently passed away-- at the end of the corridor. i don't remember the story super well, it was years ago, but I think my brother said he swore he saw the monk wave at him. apparently my brother was half-asleep and didn't think much on it, 'cause he shrugged and went to sleep. (it could be that he thought Brother Thomas said something but idr, i'll have to find out). anyways, it sparked a huge argument between my brother and mom on whether he imagined it or not, and then into whether ghosts exist. well, i don't believe in them now, but i did then, so it freaked me out a lot. the dead were rising at Subiaco!! aaah!
well, one day my brother laid out a very true point to me: "Even if there were ghosts from the graveyard, they'd be monk ghosts. They wouldn't do anything to you." Ikd why but this suddenly made me feel very safe when I considered this fact. I wasn't scared of the graveyard (much) anymore lol

i read a post on tumblr once that said "Lawful good: no blankets, no fan. Lawful evil: blankets, fan" and its so true
the psychology behind it is very interesting though. it basically boils down to the comfort of having a barrier between yourself and the darkness; part of it is just instict, your mind doesnt want your body vulnerable while it sleeps unprotected. having a blanket facilitates a feeling of some form of protection.

So... in conclusion, apparently, if you disagree with homosexual relations, you support the murder and torture of homosexuals. This is news to me, but this is what I've just been told. So it seems we have no choice. :/ RIP Dank Warrior status. Was putting this off. It will be missed. On a lighter note, guess who got four books for an amazing grand total of only $30 today! Hint: it's me. im not surprised tbh. what books?? O:

Clearly, I think fans of this movie should be tortured and killed as painfully as possible, and I hope they burn in the lowest level of hell. Cool, what books?

I got The Teachings of the Torah, which, as I mentioned earlier, is a collective study of Jewish history and culture and how it relates to the first five books of the OT; The Reason For God / The Prodigal God, a two-in-one apologetics book by Timothy Keller; Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (who I love); and Understanding World Religions by Len Woods, which, as the title suggests, is a basic run-down of 50 different faiths. I've started Mere Christianity.

@jester : four books for $7.50 each? wow! we were at half price books yesterday because I'm reading some classics this year in literature (Lord of the Flies, the Screwtape Letters, the Time Machine, Animal Far, 451, etc). But we also picked up the Cursed Child and a few books on Mother Teresa.
also yes, they caught me. i want everyone to burn in hell because i don't agree with their actions. no, mom, my room does not need to be cleaned. You're damned to torture now.
EDIT: also when you stay up late chatting on the forums and forgot you had 9am mass the next day

One was paid for ( yes), and one I got 40% off. Had my mom not offered to buy one for me ("It's a book. Books are good") and had the cashier lady not told me of their online coupon, I would've paid about $70. :") #blessed

apparently HPB was having a sale for 20% off everything so we went book crazy lol
mere Christianity is great. I had to read it in 7th grade and I didn't understand a word of it. Literally. For whatever reason I could not comprehend the words because of the way Lewis structured the sentences, I suppose. I had to have my sister explain each sentence to me. It was still a great book though, and I'm sure I'd understand it better now lol

Just a random question that I thought of recently, one time I volunteered to help out with setting up an Easter egg hunt with a church to make all the little demon spawns happy for awhile.
Every easter egg was supposed to have candy and a sticker. But with the stickers that were bought, a few of them had the peace symbol on it.
Me being me, hungover and cursing the world, I just put them inside the eggs. But then one of the adult organizers came up to me and told me to throw the stickers with the peace symbol out because, according to this person, the peace symbol is an upside down, broken cross.
Is this true? Sure, you could say it represents that, but the message behind the peace symbol is just...peace, right? It's like looking at an abstract painting with dots all over the place and saying it holds the message of life. It's just not valid.
What do ya'll think?

this reminds me of when "3edgy5me" ppl wear shirts with upside down crosses they think it represent satan or something lmao someone needs to tell them the truth

Saint AmbrosefThat's what I figured, I ended up just using the stickers anyway since small children are already demonic. Might sound stupid, but what does an upside down cross symbolize then? I just see it a taunting of the Church and Christianity.
