I really don't like my insurance company at the moment. I hope you guys don't mind. But Im gonna rant.
Okay so. I've been taking physical therapy for my back in the past month. We just got a letter today from my insurance regarding my therapy. It says: From August 2nd to November 30th. They have only given me 8 visits for almost 4 months. That's only 2 visits a month. And guess what. I've already used all of my visits. But we only got this letter TODAY. And my therapist wanted to see me twice a week. And I've hardly even improved within the month. So what makes my insurance think twice a month will help me? We also have no money to pay for more visits since we have no income except from unemployment.
Can you guys pray that we get this sorted out?

Yeah I know. It's frustrating.
Probably not the worst idea. I'm fine for friendly debates but when people start throwing out insults there becomes no point bc everyone's angry and the discussion just halts.
Yeah probably. Ugh school lol

☂ I mean, Victorious and I were just having a simple debate, then everyone started in and began yelling and I'm just like ??? I reported it and requested it be locked, so thank goodness for Tomo.
I even had someone saying that I was gay and I should just let it out or something? I'm like, "Dude, where the heck do you get that?" Seriously, it's sad. My friend got teased about being supposedly "lesbian" at school, and had a lot of issues. She stopped coming to church and ended up became a lesbian, so I'm really sad about it. Been praying for her, and she ended up coming to church once, but hasn't been back since. She mentioned that she felt guilty, and that she wasn't going to be accepted? My mom pointed out that it was God probably convicting her about her choices, but she was just getting pulled away by everything. Hopefully, she'll come back to church and we'll be able to talk to her about it.
Thank you for standing up, by the way. It felt good to know I wasn't the only one there.
Yeah, school stinks. I'm technically in school right now? ;p; I'm homeschooled, so yeah. Trying to get biology UGGGH labs done, so that is fun. I've got multiple assignments overdue since I missed school, so I'm just trying to catch up so I don't have to stress over the weekend. So how's school for you? (x

Yeah. Tomorrow is my fav haha
Ah dang I'll definitely pray for her! I hope God can open up her heart enough. I wish there was a way this subject could be debated rationally and peacefully. It's interesting to hear other sides and I've learned that it's important to see all sides to an issue.
No problem! I've been in your place before and didn't have anyone who agreed with me so I know what it feels like. In the end, you just stand firm in your beliefs since that's usually the only thing you can do.
Lol that sounds like fun haha. I loved Bio! But the labs, yeah those are frustrating. Especially the lab reports! It's OK. Gonna have to work hard this year but other than that it's good!

Ironically, the sentiment that "your sexuality does not define you" is in full agreement with Christianity. We're only in opposition when you base your entire existence on one aspect of yourself.

The "disrespecting my existence" argument falls flat because being gay isn't the sin. It's acting on it. You're not acting on homosexuality when you wake up or eat dinner. Therefore, you can exist without being against my beliefs. ☂ Where were you when we needed you? Lol, I'm just kidding. This is a really good way to look at it. My youth group is getting ready to start our bible study soon, so I'm hoping I get to discuss/debate about this more.

I'm really excited to find out, though. My youth pastor always does a really good job. One of my favorite series was "Creation vs. Evolution", and we ended up finishing our series off by going to the Creation Museum. We've done our series on anything from specific books of the Bible to topics in today's society, so like I said, no idea what we'll be doing. Definitely looking forward to it, though!

☂ It was pretty cool. One part literally scared me half to death... it was a walk-through thing talking about the events of the Bible, and my friend and I were going through this tunnel that is about when sin enetered the Earth. Well, it was literally pitch black and tiny, and right in the wall was a glass case with a figure that was a representation of what the serpent in the Garden of Eden might've looked like. I took one look at it and ran, because it literally startled me so bad. Looking back now, I realize it was amazing how realistic it looked. Then, my friend and I simply wanted to get away from the creepy snake.
I believe in YEC myself. We had a discussion about it in my youth group, and until then, I literally had no idea how old the Earth was. Now I stand in YEC. There is evidence to back up the YEC ideals, which I learned much of from the Creation Museum... the only I remember so far is that if the Earth were millions of years old, then the oceans would have a lot more salt than they have now.

as an lgbt+ christian i don't really get why people get so mad when someone doesn't agree with homosexuality and respectfully talks about. like, if someone's RUDE to me then i will get mad. there's no place for being a rude person when it comes to anything, especially as a christian. personally, i'm very sympathetic to the struggle of my lgbt+ brothers and sisters. more than half of my friends are lesbian, bi, gay, or trans, and probably ninety percent of them are in a same-sex relationship or are in the process of transitioning. now, i don't believe being trans is a sin, but that's another story entirely. but, i know as a bisexual, that the feelings my friends feel for their same sex partners are real, and it's very, very hard to not act on them. i know that doesn't make it okay, but do i believe that they are committing a huge, horrible sin because they do feel love for someone of the same sex? not at all. i believe that God created them with same sex attraction, and what they chose to do with that is between them and Him, like the fact that i'm never going to date a girl is between Him and me. don't wanna fight, just my two cents.

Yes I agree with you. Everyone's entitled to their opinion as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. I just wanna also say, to add onto your point about your friends feeling genuinely for their partners, that I think Christians as a whole need to seriously, seriously look at homosexuality and consider what it actually is. For example, the Catechism of the Catholic Church says this on homosexuality: "Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved." I'm not at all trying to throw the RCC under the bus- this is just a great example of what most straight Christians tend to think about homosexuality. If I'm understanding it right, this part of the catechism is saying that homosexuality does not proceed from genuine love and affection- rather, it proceeds from some sort of perverse and twisted lust. And that's just not true at all. As I've befriended more and more gay people, I've come to realize that they feel the exact same about members of the same sex as straight people do about members of the opposite sex. It's not some sort of weird perversion. Now, the issue of whether acting on homosexuality is a sin is a different matter, but I cannot believe, as many Christians unfortunately do, that gay people are gay simply because of some weird warped fetish or whatever. It's genuine. It's not a choice. We can't help people "pray the gay away" or "convert to heterosexuality". The Church needs to help and embrace gay people, not lecture them and tell them they're going to hell because of their uncontrollable feelings. Again, the issue of whether or not homosexual activity is a sin is an entirely different matter, but just being attracted to the same sex is not controllable and cannot be a sin. /rant

I'm not quite sure where I stand on the "is being gay something you're born with/something you choose" sort of thing. I've seen both sides and I'm just not quite sure yet.
