(Well, you can always make one later but I say go for it if you really want to ^^ I don't mind waiting while you make a new character or two.)
Perci stuck her tongue out at Frankie, "at least I don't have to sit through a math class so ha-ha." She grinned before her gaze flicked back to the foreign exchange students. "I wonder what made them want to come over here for an education rather than staying home" She murmured then laughed as her roommate tried to pass off being charming. The girl understood why Mrs. Wells didn't want her children around but she found it odd since it would've been better if they new some other students so they could mesh well once classes started. She sighed and shifted her sea green eyes away from the other students since she didn't want to make it seem like she was staring, or worse, as though she was fawning over the attractive foreign boys. Perci settled for smirking at her silly friend and shaking her head. She straightened in her seat when she heard a woman's voice and looked up to see Mrs. Wells standing behind Frankie. She forced a smile but it seemed a bit sheepish, especially when the older woman started grilling her daughter.
She distracted herself by taking a sip of her orange juice but nearly choked when Mrs. Wells mentioned the Great Pudding Fight of her Junior year. She managed to swallow the juice but it left an acidic sting in her nose since it had almost shot out from her nostrils. The girl patted her chest as she coughed and recovered in time to answer the vice principal. "Oh, not at all. I wouldn't have even shown up if it wasn't for Frankie's obnoxious alarm clock, Mrs. Vice Principal." She forced a sweet smile but what she had just said was nothing but the truth. If the alarm wasn't set, Perci would still be asleep and drooling on her pillow which was something she'd rather be doing at this very moment.

"See. Ya gotta trust me, mom. I'm grown up now. I'm an adult. Soon I'll be on my own and going to college," Frankie said. "I'm mature now. The day I turned 18, I changed," Frankie said, watching her mom. Mrs. Wells rolled her eyes at her daughter.
"Just last week, you pushed a pie into your brother's face. And it was during a staff meeting!" Mrs. Wells said. Frankie just shook her head and pushed her Mrs. Wells away. Some of the other kids at the table were turning to look in their direction. Once her mother was gone, Frankie shook her head.
"Well, that was embarrassing. And I swear, she has no faith in me," Frankie muttered. As much as she hated to admit it, Frankie wasn't the most reliable person. She watched Mrs. Wells walk away from their table and go visit Nate at his table. She turned back to Perci and was about to say something when the girl next to her tapped on her shoulder and pointed at her feet. Frankie looked down to see she still had her paddock boots on and she sighed, looking at Perci once again. "I'm a mess," she said, rolling her eyes.
Now she really did have to stop back in their room to change shoes. She'd been hoping to go find some of her friends before first period, but it didn't look like that was going to happen.
Well, the first day of school wasn't off to the best start.

Perci kept an innocent smile on her face until Mrs. Wells and she instantly deflated once the older woman was gone. She shuddered, "I'm sorry but being around your mother puts knots in my stomach," she internally panicked when she noticed Frankie was slipping into a bad mood. Having been an only child and home schooled rather than going to a public elementary school like a normal child, she didn't know how to comfort someone properly. She turned stiffly, looking for something to cheer the other girl up. She frowned and glared at the girl that pointed out Frankie's mistake before snatching a piece of bacon from the dark haired girl's plate and holding it in front of her face, "I got you some yummy bacon."
She blushed, embarrassed by her lame attempt and set the piece of greasy meat back on the plate. "Okay, sorry, that was just plain awful. It's not fair to you that your mother did that in public and you are not a mess. Okay, you're not that much of a mess. Listen, last year, I went to class with my swim cap still on my head AND I was in the wrong class. We can be messes together." She grinned and was secretly praying at least some of that would make her laugh.

Frankie smiled at Perci's attempts to be comforting. "Look, it's no big deal. My mom and I are cool, she just wants me to be like her and I don't want to be. I just wanna ride and have fun, not wear fancy clothes and deal with whiney kids all day," she said, shaking her head. "I'm fine, really." She looked down at her plate before smiling at Perci, back to her normal self. "That last story though... Dude, we're both messes!" She said the last part loudly and a few freshman gave her weird looks, but most people ignored her. Hey, this wasn't a normal school. People weren't expected to act according to normal social norms.
And it was true. Frankie and her mom got along good. They cared each other and helped each other. They were a family. They just got along better at home then at school. The reason? Mrs. Wells expected Frankie to be like her. Grow up. Get married. Get a normal 9-5 job like everyone else. Frankie didn't think that way. The top of her list was to become an Olympic equestrian. And if not, just keep competing in highly rated shows. She even had a backup plan in case of injury or any other emergency circumstances. Then she wanted to open a barn either training horses and giving lessons, breeding, or rehabilitating injured or abused horses. They were appealing options, but Frankie just couldn't see herself arriving at school in a skirt and shirt every single day just to watch students sit miserably behind their desks as some teacher droned on and on about rhetoric and parabolas. That, along with Frankie's sometimes less than stellar grades, caused tension between the two. Luckily, Nate was usually there to diffuse the tension.

That, along with Frankie's sometimes less than stellar grades, caused tension between the two. Luckily, Nate was usually there to diffuse the tension. She nodded, understanding the pressure that Frankie may be under when it came to her education and future. Perci personally didn't have that great of a relationship with her mother until she went to school and got a new coach; it was a difficult childhood. She was snapped out of her thoughts when her roommate's tone rose and she laughed along with her, not caring about the stares the received. Go ahead, look. This is how much of a [crud] you'll give when you become seniors. Her laughing subsided but there was a smile on her face. She returned to picking fruit off her plate and glancing around the cafeteria that was packed with so many people, she could hardly believe her eyes. The girl began peeling her banana like a monkey, using the long skinny part as a handle. She tilted her head at her friend who had fallen silent, "you okay? You got awfully quiet." She took a bite of the banana as she watched the other girl but she couldn't gauge any emotion from her. That's probably because I'm horrible with people. But Frankie didn't seem to care that she was horribly awkward and anti-social which was a load of pressure off her mind. She gave Frankie a slight nudge with her elbow, "come back to Earth and eat something. It's suck to go through your morning classes without any food in your belly until lunch."
(Sorry it's a bit short ^^" )

"Yeah, you're right. Just, y'know, thinking about the future. We are seniors, after all," Frankie said. Thinking bout the future was a very un Frankie like action, but it was somewhat common for the part of Frankie that she didn't show others, not even her roommate. She nibbled on some bacon, ate her eggs, and chugged her orange juice. The girl's plate was nearly empty with ten minutes left in the breakfast. Ten minutes before they had to start getting ready for the first day of classes. "Hey, I'm gonna go see Bravo. You can come if you want," Frankie offered. She wasn't quite sure if her roommate and met the gelding. She didn't pay much attention to small issues like that when there were bigger issues at hand, such as which college Frankie would go to. She got up, tossing her tray onto the counter as she went. She took a turn near the door and stopped by her brother, grabbing a sausage link from his plate and biting into it as she left the cafeteria. She hadn't waited for an answer from her roommate, knowing Perci would either come or stay there, and just made her way to the well worn path leading to the barn. The school's equestrian team was small, so there was never much action here. It made it very peaceful and Frankie's favorite place to be. She waved to one of the grooms that was saddling a horse and opened Bravo's stall. The bay gelding stuck his head out, nosing her pockets for treats. (It's fine )

(Hey, so I won't be on much or at all today because I won't be around my laptop. Sorry ^^" I feel kind of bad because I really wanted to progress in the RP. I'll reply any time I can.)
Perci wasn't one to think of the future and she had believed Frankie was the same way until she started going on about college. The thought of filing out applications weighed heavily on her shoulders once they were brought up. She only managed to eat half of her bagel but most of her fruit and juice; she stared at the uneaten half as her friend invited her along to meet Bravo and she nodded slightly. "Yeah, okay. I'll be there in a minute," she murmured, sounding a bit gloomy. Once Frankie had left, she fiddled with her braid and began to think of the choices she would have to make before graduation came, and most of those choices are going to have to be made way before then. How can I possibly know what I want to do with the rest of my life at 17? Perci let out a sigh which grabbed the attention from the others sitting at the table. She quickly stretched and gave a fake yawn before giving them an excuse about being tired, pushing her chair from the table and leaving the cafeteria behind. She practically shuddered after leaving the building behind her but the crisp morning air was enough to revive her energy and clear her thoughts. She settled her bag on the center of her back and the wheels of her skateboard hit the pavement.
The swimmer had never been to the on-campus stables for obvious reasons; she wasn't a rider so she had no real reason to visit before. It took her some time to find it but it wasn't too difficult since she could smell the horses before she saw them. Perci paused to strap her board to the back of her backpack before heading into the warm stables where she saw Frankie in one of the stabled. The girl crossed her arms over the side of the stall, resting her chin upon them as her eyes scanned the large animal in front of her, "quite the beast you got there. How much horsepower does it got?" She smirked at her lame joke but it was the first thing that had come to mind.

(Me either. I'm kinda on and off all day between chores and Pokemon hunting with my brother)
"More than your skateboard," Frankie said. If she was allowed to ride Bravo to get around campus, she totally would. Unfortunately, the gelding didn't think that was a great idea. He'd rather go into the pasture with his buds and eat all day. He watched Perci arrive, but then lost interest in the girls and continued to eat his hay. "And this year, I'm getting paid to teach a couple beginner lessons since were down to only one instructor," Frankie said, proud of herself. She taught lessons back home during the summer, but her mom had never let her teach here. She thought Frankie should focus on school. The barn director had been able to convince Mrs. Wells that having Frankie around would make things a lot easier for him. In order to make more money, the barn had begun offering lessons to children that's lived near campus, as well as the students of the school that wanted to learn to ride.
"Hey, we should head back. I still gotta change my shoes before class starts. Then I gotta sit through a math lesson and it's gonna kill me," Frankie said, rolling her eyes dramatically. She laughed and pulled a mint out of her pocket. As soon as he heard the crinkling of the he candy wrapper, Bravo ditched his hay and nudged at Frankie's hand, nickering until she gave in and unwrapped the mint. She held it out flat on her hand and the thoroughbred ate it, chewing loudly right next to the girls. Frankie pulled her last mint out of her pocket, unwrapping it and holding it out for Bravo. He ate this one as well. He nudged her pockets for more, but Frankie just pushed his large bag head away, knowing her pockets were empty. She did have a few more bags in her dorm, but she only brought a few mints to the barn at a time. Bravo was known to beg if he knew she had more mints, even though those weren't very good manners.
"Today will be our first lesson of the school year and, knowing Oscar, that means it's gonna be rough," Frankie said. Oscar, the barn director, always enjoyed making Frankie suffer for her first lesson. It usually consisted of a no stirrup lesson, doing drills over and over again. He always followed it up with a nice relaxing ride the next day before falling into a more regular schedule to keep horse and rider in top condition. Though she ate nearly anything she could get her hands on, Frankie's small body was still in great shape for her riding. Frankie left the stall, locking the door behind her. "See you in a few hours, pretty boy," she said. With the sun coming through Bravo's window and shining on his gleaming sleek hair, he really did look like a very pretty boy.

(xD alrighty. Sorry this is so late and I've been MIA >o< )
The girl scoffed in response, "oh, please. Perci Power is the way to go." She flexed and kissed her biceps in turn jokingly. Perci lazily reached out to brush her fingers over Bravo's cheek as he chewed obnoxiously on a mint that Frankie had given him. "That actually sounds pretty cool," she tucked her hand back under her other arm, "you seem pretty excited about it and I'm sure you'll do great." She grinned then blew a piece of hay off of the side of the stall. She didn't have opportunities to coach others except at the local YMCA but the group was mostly snobby rich kids that didn't listen to any authority. Maybe if their parents were around rather than handing them an iPad they would be better behaved... She had to stop thinking that way. It only made her resent her clients which harmed her service to those stuck-up kids.
Perci snapped out of her thoughts and straightened, adjusting the straps on her shoulders, "yeah, you're probably right." She smirked when Frankie rolled her eyes and she playfully nudged the girl with her elbow, "oh, come on! I know you secretly love all academics." She then whispered loudly, "I even heard you like math more than riding but don't worry, I won't tell Bravo." She then glanced over her shoulder as she started to walk away, waving to the horse with a big grin on her face, "nothing going on over here! Enjoy your hay!" She couldn't help but laugh at her own odd behavior. She paused at the entrance to the stables, waiting for her roommate to catch up, "well, if you need to change so badly then get a move on, girl!" She toed at a few loose pieces of hay that probably fell when the stalls were cleared out earlier. "I know the feeling. Coach Beurrigard is pretty much the same but she pushes us all year round. I love swimming but I don't love it enough to kill myself training for it."

"I don't think Bravo would actually mind much if I chose math over riding. He'd finally be allowed to sleep in the pasture and eat all day and get all old and fat and slow," she said, picturing her energetic partner as a fat old school pony. Of course, he could never be an old school pony. He'd throw those bouncy, jerky kids off in a second. He needed a soft touch and a smooth rider to stay happy.
She listened to Perci talk as the two exited the barn together. Once they were out of the aisle, Frankie began running, careful not to trip and fall with the slight heel of her paddock boots. She laughed as she ran, feeling carefree and happy. She felt as though it was still summer and she wasn't about to head to her first math class of the year. Ugh, the girl couldn't stand math. And that's why she had always had Nate do her homework until hr parents figured it out around eighth grade. And now she had to do her own work (though she still invited her twin to her room to tutor her). She'd rather be stuck with Nate (who understood Frankie) helping her than some random kid she'd be embarrassed around. She didn't like to feel stupid.
But she didn't think of any of that as she ran, only slowly down when she reached the entrance to their dorm. She walked in, once again amazed by the variety in their dorm. A basketball player was organizing her backpack as she bounced a ball. A tennis player was packing rackets and balls along with her folders and notebooks. A variety of different athletes mixed their sports with normal everyday things and it made Frankie happy to see so many different girls all enjoying the same passion. But blocking out any deep, sappy, or philosophical thoughts, Frankie ran up to her room, taking two steps at a time, and fumbled to find her key before shoving it into the lock and turning it. She threw her boots aside (one landed in the kitchen and one in the bathroom) before changing into her shoes and running out, slowing down once she reached the lobby. Alright, five minutes to make it to the central building for math. She could do that no problem. The hard part would be surviving math. Then surviving English. Then she could relax and head to the barn where Oscar would attempt to kill her. Yeah, totally relaxing.

Perci smirked at the thought of Bravo getting fat since she had a more cartoon looking horse in mind. She shook her head at her silly imagination and opened her mouth to say something but Frankie ran from the stables. The girl huffed and was catching up to her roommate in seconds on her skateboard. She rolled at a leisurely pace, swaying from side to side over the sidewalk and giving herself a push every time she slowed. The girl smirked at the one ahead of her the gave a small wave when Frankie veered off to their dorm. "If I don't see you after class then have an awesome day! Try not to set anything on fire!" She called after the girl then continued on to the academic building that hosted most of the history and social classes. She stopped and kicked her board up, grabbing the front and walking in through the double doors. Perci had to pause to look at her schedule and wandered hopelessly to find her classroom since she was always a bit scatterbrained on the first day. She thanked a teacher that steered her in the right direction and she sighed with relief when she claimed a desk in the back and by the window.
(Want me to introduce my guy?)
