Introduction
Welcome to Winston High School, home of the Panthers. From the outside, the large campus in rural Minnesota looks no different than any other ordinary high school. However, the inside of Winston could be no more different. Each student is a prodigy in a certain field, whether it's music, arts, athletics or academics. Each student was individually scouted and invited to join the Belleville family. While the school claims to be a safe and supportive environment for students to juggle school, sports, social lives, and their talent, there is no escape from the typical teenage drama...
***
Winston High is located in rural Minnesota, right out of the small town of Belleville. When you first enter the gates, a small administration building is the first to greet you. Behind it is a larger building containing the gym, library, auditorium, and general classrooms (math, science, social studies, English, etc). In the four corners of campus are the dorms. The northwest corner belongs to the art students. The first floor is their common room, as well as classrooms and special facilities including a dark room and art gallery. The second floor is the boys dorms. There are 12 dorms, housing two students each. The third floor is the girls dorms. The northeast corner is the athletic students. Their building is set up similar to the art students, but their first floor contains a small gym, two locker rooms, and a fitness center. The southwest corner is for music students. Their building is set up similar to the others, except theirs has a stage for concerts and multiple soundproof practice rooms. The southeast corner is for academic students. Their building is similar but their first floor has a library, computer lab, and multiple study rooms. Near the center of campus is a rec building for the school to share. Inside are study rooms, an arcade, movies, pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, and a pool. Other facilities open to all students are the multiple sports fields, tennis courts, and equestrian center.
Explanation
There isn't much to explain for this. It's a normal boarding school roleplay except all of our characters are highly trained in one skill. If you need any clarification, just ask. And be realistic. Even though they have these skills, they still aren't perfect.

Rules
1) I want this to a be a literate and advanced roleplay. That means correct spelling and grammar. Typos aren't a big deal, everyone has them. Just try to put some effort in. I also want o have decent post lengths. I'm gonna set a minimum of 1-2 paragraphs with at least 10 sentences each. This is a minimum, so more is accepted and appreciated. There can also be shorter posts on occasion, but if they become too frequent I'll point it out. I'm pretty chill when it comes to rules, so there's flexibility here.
2) Keep it appropriate. Violence and romance should be kept at an acceptable level. You should know where this level is, but I will point it out if it goes too far. I just don't want this to be deleted or anyone to get banned. And there's probably small children lurking around these forums.
3) No Mary Sues, Powerplaying, Godmodding, etc. These make it less fun for everyone else and we're all here to have fun. There isn't much else to say on this one besides check with everyone before doing anything major, but that should be common sense.
4) Please make a minimum of two characters, one girl and one boy to keep genders even. If you have a problem with this, talk to me. Like I said, I'm flexible and we can work stuff out. I just want genders to stay relatively even.
5) There's not really much else. Just use your common sense, have fun, and be somewhat active (let me know if you'll be gone for a while). Please wait to roleplay until you're accepted, and let me know when you post a form.

The sharp ringing of an an alarm clock ripped through the silent air of room 1. A hand reached out from underneath a pile of blankets and hit the night stand in an attempt to turn off the alarm. On her second try, Frankie Wells turned it off. Groaning, the senior lifted her face from the pillow. Her blonde hair was everywhere, and her dark brown eyes were closed as she climbed out of bed and shuffled into the bathroom, preparing for the first day of senior year. Frankie had been coming here since she was a freshman, though her brother hadn't been invited until he was a sophomore. It was a fact that Frankie never let him forget. When she was in the bathroom, she turned on the shower. The bathroom filled with steam as Frankie showered, glad she only had to share a bathroom with her roommate and not the entire floor. That would suck. By the time Frankie dried and brushed her hair and brushed her teeth, she was much more awake. She wrapped a towel around herself and grabbed some clothes from her closet, reminded herself to bring them into the bathroom next time. She pulled on a pair of camouflage pants and a plan black tee shirt. Most girls attempted to look good for the first day of school, but everyone that knew Frankie knew she wouldn't buy into that 'dressing nice' thing.
She left the bathroom and grabbed a donut from the small kitchen in their room. The first day breakfast was required for all students, but that didn't mean Frankie had to eat there. As she shoved the donut in her mouth, she knew she'd eat at the cafeteria anyway. With a mouthful of donut, she looked over her schedule once again. She had been able to drop 3rd period gym and replace it with a riding lesson, just one of the benefits of being here for a certain sport. Checking the time, Frankie realized she had time to run down to the stable before the breakfast. She pulled on her paddock boots and a light gray jacket to protect her clothes from smelling too much like a horse and rushed through the silent hallways and the silent path. When she reached the barn, she was greeted with tired nickers. The barn was empty at this hour except for a Stablehand preparing feed. Frankie waved at the other girl and stopped by, petting some of the horses she knew well. Nickers, Classy, Red, Lady, Jazz... When she reached Bravo's stall, the bay gelding perked his ears forward, expecting a morning treat. The beautiful bay stretched out his neck and nickered loudly, nosing the pocket of her jacket. Frankie laughed and gave in, pulling a mint from her pocket and feeding it to him.
"Hi, pretty boy. You sleep good? You ready for our last year?" She asked. Bravo nodded his head as he chewed, as of answering her question. Frankie giggled and hugged him. Giggled was such a girly word. No, Frankie laughed. She chuckled. But she didn't giggle. She was gonna miss this place. It had become her home over the past four years and she didn't want to leave, even if she and Bravo were destined for great things. Hopefully, one day, they'd even be on track for the Olympics. All Frankie could do is train and hope. She scratched Bravo's shoulder, even as he lost interest and began to munch on the hay that was sitting on the floor of his stall. Spotting a patch of dried mud on his neck, she grabbed a curry and began to groom him. By the time she had gotten through currying and hard brushing, she checked the time. "Shoot," Frankie moaned. She had five minutes to get to the cafeteria. "Love ya, boy!" She said, shutting and locking his stall door. Bravo barely looked up from his hay as his owner rushed out of the barn, causing horses to lift their heads to see what was going on.
One she was out of the barn, Frankie sprinted back towards the dorm building. Her boots pounded against the pavement, and Frankie was once again glad that she worked out everyday to stay fit for riding. She was barely out of breath as she sprinted full speed into the center of campus. She passed students on their way to the cafeteria, almost colliding with her history teacher from last year.
"Ms. Wells!" He said, pinching his nose and sighing. "Please tell me you are not planning on being late to the breakfast again, just like last year," he begged.
"Don't worry, Mr. Jones! I got this!" Frankie gave him one of her signature grins and ran off, causing the teacher to shake his head. Last year, she had definitely gotten on his nerves, but even grumpy old Mr. Jones couldn't deny that quality Frankie had that made people laugh. Frankie got to the Athletics dorm and rushed up to her floor, jamming her key in the door and shoving it open.
"Perci?" She called, hoping her roommate hadn't left yet. Frankie didn't want to walk into the cafeteria alone. That was for losers like Nate and her friend, Allie. Frankie unzipped her jacket and threw it onto her bed, which was still messed up with half the blankets falling onto the floor. She was extremely disorganized, but Frankie Wells somehow made it work.

Perci groaned and rolled onto her side, pulling her pillow over her face and pressing it to her ears in an attempt to muffle the blaring alarm. She remained that way until she heard her roommate shuffle into the bathroom and the shower turn on. The girl practically rolled out of bed before doing her morning stretches with a sideways knot of dark hair bouncing against her heard. She wrinkled her nose and picked at the rats nest to at least get it freed from the elastic and glared at the hair accessory as if it could hear her, "that is the last time I go to sleep with a bun in." Her hair was still a mess but she didn't care enough to brush them out at that very moment. The girl moved towards the kitchenette which was basically two counters with cabinets overhead, a stove, a sink, and a fridge. She yawned as she filled a kettle with water and set it upon the stove top, turning one of the knobs until a flame burst to life on the burner. "Ugh... I just want some dang coffee but nooooo-" She clenched her jaw at the thought of her coach scolding her for putting something so 'toxic' in her body. Her body instinctively jumped when she heard the bathroom door open but she made herself relax, hoping that Frankie hadn't noticed. She moved to the fridge to grab something to eat but she only stared at the contents before closing the door, "I'll just get something from the breakfast," she mumbled to herself. She was about to ask her roommate if she would like any tea but the girl seemed busy enough getting ready and was out the door without even pausing to say 'good morning' or 'bye'. She just shrugged it off since she understood why she had gone and how busy life could get sometimes; especially at this school.
She flicked off the burner and poured the hot water from the kettle into a simple mug once the steam made it whistle. She picked a mint tea and dunked it into the water a few times before looping the string around the top of the handle so it wouldn't fall in which was a subtle quirk of hers. Stupidly, she went to sip the steaming liquid only to recoil with a burnt tongue and she set the mug on her nightstand so the tea could cool. Perci eyed the box of doughnuts that Frankie had opened but she shook her head and took her turn in the bathroom but only to wash her face and glare at a possible pimple forming on the side of her nose. She groaned for the second time that morning and left the bathroom to get dressed in a plain, long white t-shirt and a pair of torn boyfriend jeans before snaking a belt through the loops. She tucked the front of her shirt into her jeans loosely before covering her feet with socks and lacing up a pair of black Converse high tops that were worn and probably about to fall apart. Again, her sea green eyes settled on the box of doughnuts, one won't hurt... But she knew the guilt would eat at her. She wasn't a health nut but her sport required for her to be in the best shape possible and that meant giving up on junk food -- except for pizza. The girl pushed the thoughts of food aside since it was making her stomach rumble as though it was coaxing her to give in to her cravings. Instead, she busied herself with looking over her schedule and packing her bag. She was about to head out with her bag slung over her shoulder and her skateboard under her arm when she heard a girl's voice call her name.
She peeked around the corner that their bathroom made, the one thing that kept the room from being a box, and gave a small wave, "heya, roomie." She was glad that the girl standing before her wasn't into frills just as much as Perci was since it'd be sickening to go through the attempted makeovers her past three roommates had done. She practically shuddered at the thought but adjusted her bag on her shoulder to hide it as she stepped fully into view. Frankie wasn't winded but Perci could tell that she had been running to do a slight redness in her cheeks and her windblown hair. She raised a curious eyebrow, "are we late for breakfast?"

Frankie hadn't even noticed that Perci was up when she ran to the barn that morning. She was very scatterbrained and oblivious in the morning. Her brother could testify to that after being ran into many, many times when they were still living at home. It's gotten better, but you couldn't rely on Frankie for anything in the morning until she had time to clear her head. Bravo always achieved that, so she tried to visit her favorite boy every morning. Frankie pulled her hair tie out and held it between her teeth as she rushed into the bathroom, running a brush through her hair to make it look presentable. She mumbled something that you couldn't hear due to the hair accessory between her teeth. She pulled her hair into and ponytail and slung a worn black backpack over her shoulder. There was no need to bring your bag to breakfast, but Frankie wanted some time to organize her tack trunk before class started today.
"Uh, we will be in two minutes," Frankie admitted, her cheeks turning bright red. She gave Perci am extra large smile and headed out into the hallway. "Blame me if you're late!" She yelled down the hall as she jogged towards the stairs. Two minutes to the center of campus. Possible? Yes. Easy? No. It was a large campus. At least 30 seconds had passed by the time she made it outside. She began to run again, reminding herself hat it was too early to be doing so much work. Frankie Wells is not a morning person. She reached the cafeteria right as the announcements and welcome speech were starting.mThe vice principal caught Frankie sneaking in to a mostly empty table and shook her head, pointing to her watch. Frankie nodded, but gave a thumbs up and sat down.
Trisha Wells, vice principal and Frankie and Nate's mother, shook her head at her late daughter who made sure there was a spot next to her for Perci. She was now a little out of breath. Her cheeks were red. Any progress she had made on her hair in her dorm room was erased as the wind had pulled it from its restraints and she now has pieces of hair sticking up in odd directions. Maybe people would assume she went for a morning jog around the track? Yeah, cause that was totally a Frankie-like thing to do. Nate caught her eye from a few tables down, making a face and nodding towards their mother.
'Trouble?' he mouthed, knowing that they were supposed to be on time for the breakfast. Frankie shook her head, getting an irritated look from her brother.
'Love ya, bro!' she mouthed back, smirking. Nate shook his head and turned back to listen to the principal talk. Frankie sighed and turned to listen as well, even though she'd heard this speech three times before. And don't even get her started on her mom's speech. Mrs. Wells practiced it every summer before the year began, and Nate and Frankie had to sit there and listen to it twenty times each year. It was horrible. Okay, slight exaggeration. And it was a good speech, she just got sick of hearing it.

She shrugged as Frankie slipped into the bathroom once more, clearly not worried about being late as the other girl seemed to be. Perci briefly set her skateboard down to loosely, and messily, braid her hair so it went straight down her back and she grabbed a black snapback that had 'MARVEL' in big red letters with superheroes and villains crowded behind the stitched text. She pulled on her black sports jacket that had her last name embroidered on the back and sleeve with the school's swimming logo over her heart. The girl snatched her board from where it leaned against the wall and shook her head at her roommate, "ya, ya o- kayyyy... And she's gone." The athlete huffed and slipped her arm through the other strap of her bag so it settled nicely on the center of her back before she jogged after Frankie. Her sneakers screeched against the linoleum set in the hallway as she halted and turned to close the door to their room and lock it, wouldn't be too great if someone broke in and stole our things. There's some expensive things in there. With that taken care of, she bolted to the stairwell but there was no sign that Frankie was even still in the building. The girl didn't even have time to roll her eyes as she charged down the stairs, briefly glancing at her waterproof watch for the time, oh, jeez! I'm going to be so late! It's the same old speech but it's so embarrassing walking in and everyone turns to look at you.
Once she was outside, her skateboard hit the ground and she was off at high speeds. She had to swerve every now and then to avoid a few of the campus crew members that cleaned up the trash and kept all of the plants green. She would shout an apology after passing but she couldn't stop. She arrived at the building with seconds to spare and the door was slowly closing which meant she wasn't far behind Frankie. A sigh of relief escaped her as she kicked up her board, grabbed it, and hurried inside. Even though someone else had just come in late, a few eyes flicked back to look at her but she met them with a blank look without any shame. A few seemed startled when she met their gazes and quickly looked away, I guess there are perks to having resting b-- her thoughts stopped short as she sat in the empty chair beside the other dark haired girl. "Thanks for waiting for me," she hissed under her breath right before the speech began. She flashed the girl beside her a quick smile to show she wasn't actually mad before looking at the speaker to simply space out rather than listen to her drone on about the great accomplishments of the school and students, blah blah blah... Just feed me.

(I'm gonna go for the night)
Frankie was relieved when Perci made it to the cafeteria on time. She turned her innocent brown eyes on the other girl, trying to look as if it wasn't her fault that they were almost late. "Well, we both made it here on time. Did we not?" Frankie whispered, not taking her eyes off the stage. There was half hearted clapping as the principal finished her speech and Mrs. Wells began. Her speech was nearly as long as the principal's and Frankie rolled her eyes when Mrs. Wells began to talk about the enthusiasm and love that the students had for learning. Enthusiasm and love. For horses? Yeah. For riding? Yup. For her friends? Of course, for learning? No way. Frankie couldn't stand classes and tests and was barely holding her 3.2 GPA. Maybe she should get Nate to tutor her. Or Allie's cousin. Zach? Was that his name? He was supposed to be extremely smart, especially for a freshman.
When Mrs. Wells finished her speech, the clapping was much more enthusiastic and loud. The reason? Well, now they got to eat. As a tradition, staff came and delivered breakfast for the students instead of requiring them to stand in the long buffet like line or just grab something from the snack counter. A plate of scrambled eggs, toast, and sausage with a fruit cup on the side was placed in front of Frankie based on the order card she had filled out last night. This was the only time students were delivered their food and had a choice in what they wanted to eat. She poured a glass of orange juice from the pitcher on their table and turned to Perci, since they were allowed to talk now.
"I got precalc with Mr. Rogers first period. I think I'm gonna be sick," she groaned. Math was not Frankie's strong suit. Make it first period with the most boring teacher and you had a recipe for disaster. "What about you?" She asked. They had talked about schedules before, but Frankie couldn't remember her roommate's. She could barely remember her own schedule.

(Okie dokie ^^ goodnight!)
The dark haired girl followed the weak clapping and began drumming her fingers on her thigh as she silently coaxed Mrs. Wells to hurry along with her speech. Her eyes glazed over as her thoughts drifted, keys? Check. Phone? Check. -- Dang, I left my Chapstick in the dorm! Oh... No, wait. There it is. Did I leave the stove on? Okay, what is this lady even talking about anymore? She eased back into reality to hear her voice booming out the speakers with an enthusiastic tone and Perci immediately faded back out, did I leave the stove on? She only fully snapped out of her mind when there was a thunderous applause and she awkwardly clapped. She looked to Frankie to ask why everyone was suddenly so happy until she saw the food coming out. A large grin nearly split her face into two as she rubbed her hands together, looking down at her freshly toasted bagel lathered with cream cheese with a side of fruit and a glass of orange juice. She popped a grape into her mouth and chewed, swallowing before answering her friend's question. "Ew. I'd rather have my hands chopped off than going to math first thing," she wrinkled her nose in distaste. She held up a finger to tell Frankie to wait as she searched her bag for her schedule, pulling out an agenda with all of her classes penciled in on the first page. "Let's see... Looks like I have Mythology. Or as Mr. Fredricks likes to call it, 'The Study of Ancient Religion.' Blah. He's so monotoned; I'm going to die." She stuffed the small booklet back into her bag before taking a bite from her bagel. She nearly choked when she saw the tables of foreign exchange students.
"Okay, I don't normally care about looks but how are all of them gorgeous?" She grumbled then looked down to wipe crumbs from her lap. Sure, she had manners but the girl was starving so nothing was going to get in the way of her and her plate of food. She watched Frankie from the corner of her eye, "have you met any of them yet? You know, because of your mom." It was easy enough to figure out that the Wells twins were the children of Mrs. Wells. Not only did they have the same last names but they looked fairly similar to their mother. To ease her roommate's disdain of everyone knowing, Perci had let her in on a little secret that her mother was an Olympic swimmer. Luckily, Frankie was the only one that knew anything about her family other than the staff in the main office of the school which was an immense relief.

(I really want to make a foreign exchange student now, but I already have 4 characters)
"Ew. Have fun with that," Frankie said, thinking about the mythology course she'd taken last year. It wasn't fun, but it had been an easy course. That may have been because Mrs. Hart never gave tests and barely any homework. Frankie was silently celebrating that she had Mrs. Hart again this year for her European history class. She followed her roommates eyes towards the foreign exchange students. She hadn't paid much attention to this year, since they had been a disappointment in the past. Of course. She'd never been much into actively looking for a guy. "No,"'she said, frowning. "They came to our house for a meeting before the year started and had dinner and stuff. Mom made Nate and I leave because she wanted to make a good impression," Frankie rolled her eyes. "I don't know why though. I'm extremely charming," she said, laughing a bit at the joke. Frankie thought she had a great sense of humor, but she was a bit too loud for some people. It wasn't easy to find her off button. Behind all that, she was a great friend though.
"Of course you are. You're also late, disorganized, and distracted," a voice behind her said. Mrs. Wells put her hands on Frankie's shoulders and she looked up at her mom. "I hope you're planning on behaving this year. I don't need a repeat of last year's pudding mishap," Mrs. Wells shook her head. During lunch on the last day of school last year, Frankie had accidentally caused a food fight. The main ammo? Pudding. She claims it was accidental, but Mrs. Wells had her doubts. Frankie got along well with her mom, but being the vice principal, her mom could always stick her nose into Frankie's business and monitor her grades. That was the last thing Frankie needed senior year.
"Hi, Perci. I hope Frankie didn't cause any trouble this morning to make you two almost late," she said, giving her daughter a look. She smiled at the other grade. Standing next to Frankie, the similarities between the two were hard to miss. The same dark skin. The same dark brown eyes. The same freckles. Frankie's hair was only a shade or two lighter than her mother's.
