my character plays bass and can sing, i imagine the duo doing like alt/punk music but that's just me projecting my music interests lmao.

The writing process for Jude is not an easy one as of late; she sits in their old beaten car with too many miles on it, a pen in one hand and a half crumpled notebook in her lap as she scribbles ideas down. They have a show to set up for and she wants to try something new. Her writing is aggressive, too passionate for her own good.

HE GOES ON A WALK..."
She hasn't written anything else - her letters show her irritation, blocky and dark, pressed harshly into the paper. Jude wanted them to make it big, she needed the money, she needed this more than anything, 'cause she didn't really have anything else going for her. The band's bassist gets out of the car and throws the notebook down in the seat. By now, the sun has set and all the light left is permeating from dim yellow street lamps and the lights inside the venue. She picks up cords and lights for the show to drag inside. It's an old cement box really, with double doors and graffiti inside and skatepark equipment somehow dragged in. A beaten up half pipe is pushed into the corner. Tables and seats are pushed up against the wall, and the main stage is little more than a higher cement platform with their equipment.

Mackenzie, or Mac, a name only the closest to him used, was running late. He pressed the pedal to the ground, his old, 1965 model volkswagen bus groaning and flying down the streets. Spare equipment rattled in the seats behind him, he'd taken out several seats to accommodate them. The teal and white minibus soared down the streets as Mac urged the bus on desperately, almost missing a right turn. He yanked the wheel, just barely missing the corner of a building.
One might think he drove this way when he was in a rush, which would be true, aside from the fact he was always rushed. Kicked out of the house at 16, he'd taken what he'd saved for college and bought himself the minibus, which he fondly called The Vanderlust. He practically, no actually, lived in it at this point. He was content with his small town life, playing small gigs with Jude. He didn't really want more than what he had, maybe because he'd never known anything better.
The tires screeched to a halt in the parking space nearest to the venue. He quickly ran up the stairs, two at a time, dashing into the venue. "Hey Jude," he called out a greeting to her. "Sorry I'm late." It was a wonder how he was late to anything seeing as he didn't have much to be doing.
