After reading The Longest Day, I got one question to ask: why the heck didn't Nanulak show up earlier? He's sworn revenge on the traveling bears (especially Toklo) in Island Of Shadows, and from what I've read, there's not much buildup for Nanulak to show up. And suddenly, in The Longest Day, BOOM! He shows up just the heck out of nowhere.
It's a problem I've overlooked, and I just had to throw that out onto the table. What I'm saying is that I'd like to read some buildup for a past villain to come back.
