OFF spoilers. The point of the world is that everything seems like what a young child would come up with when hearing things about the world. "Factories are filling the air with smoke!" "Beef is really high in iron" etc.
-- Don't read any more if you don't want massive spoilers. --
The child is sick and this game takes place in his mind. The batter's image is how the child sees his father, but also represents a new drug being used on the child. "Liquid Plastic" also represents drugs that have been flowing through the child's system that keep them alive. The batter goes through the world "Purifying" any problems without hesitation, and as the game goes on you see that this also kills the environment he's in as well.
They're trying this new drug because the child has slipped into a coma (The game over music repeats "stay in your coma" when the batter fails)
The bosses represent parts of the child's organs and immune systems intollerant of the drug.
Zachary represents a doctor, who's constant fourth wall breaking is a representation of how a doctor reminds the child that this is all a fantasy world, and the reality of the situation they're in.
Toward the end of the game is a strange and nonsensical life-flashing before their eyes, with things making less sense as the child starts to slip. This includes the child's view of a dispute between his father, the batter, and his mother, which he views as a queen.
The idea is that the batter, the father, wanted to try these drugs on the child, and he is therefore responsible, which is why the queen blames him for "killing our son."
The end of the game is a fight between the judge and the batter. If the batter wins, he shuts a switch off, killing the child. If the judge wins, the switch stays on, and the child stays in a coma.
That's OFF.

That's OFF. Hold on, Mortis Ghost said that there were four humans in the game. How is that possible if the whole game takes place in Hugo's mind? The humans are Zacherie, Sugar, Hugo, and Enoch by the way. And if it does take place in Hugo's mind then whats Sugar? And what is the element sugar supposed to be? Cocaine? I dunno maybe I'll have to look into France's hospitals.

So, I think he’s probably more important in Mortis Ghost’s mind then we realize.

I’m pretty sure since each boss is an organ of Hugo, each zone has something to do with it. I think Zone 1 is the lungs Zone 2 is maybe the brain... I haven’t seen the others yet.

Enoch is in zone three. Maybe hes the stomach? I dunno. Yeah, probably. The last zone is 4 right? I’m assuming the Judge is the heart or brain. Jehophat and Judge are interchangeable in my mind.

No the last zone is The Room. The Queen is there. Also, Sugar is in Zone 0
Also, are you playing the game or watching it?
