we're doing new year's resolutions and reflections, yes? yes.
some of you probably noticed i've been on the spotty side. i'm in my junior year of college. things are crazy. i want to branch out into my original work more often, and want to feel confident about doing it. but i'm still attached to the wff and i doubt that will change for a very long time. and that means i'm chunking my resolutions out into smaller goals.
this means:
--outlining 2+ original projects (very hush hush for the most part bc i intend to pursue publication someday)
--outlining ashes to ashes
--outlining sentinel for a comprehensive rewrite
--outlining equinox
--outlining oathkeeper AND its hush hush sequel
--finishing way of the wolf
notice only one goal is to finish something, and that's because i'm trying to be realistic. i want to focus more heavily on my original work, and that means some sacrifice here. however, by outlining these things, i aim to find the motivation to complete them properly, which means they're certainly not abandoned. they're just coming out slowly, piece by piece, because i want them to be the best they can be.
another thing you don't see is the tuesday challenges. i'm too strapped for time to run that and pursue my own goals and do the things required of me beyond those goals. it's a hard sacrifice, but a necessary one if i want to keep my head. maybe someday i'll bring them back for a third return, but at the moment, chances are slim unless i want to throw away most of my personal time and motivation while also balancing school and health.
things not on the list aside, i still hope to see you guys around regularly even when i'm not actively updating. i love being here, love this community, and love the infectious joy you all bring. you're fantastic, all of you, and i couldn't leave, not really.
