Yeah, I know I did a topic similar to this before. But I just found the original allegiances for TAQ posted on Kate's old Blog. And I'm bored. So here you go:
From Kate:
2016:
The original description Kate gave to Breezekit was a "gray tabby and white tom with yellow eyes". It's the current description on the wiki, but this was from Kate's unpublished TAS Allegiances. She said that she "cannot promise that there will be no changes between my finished ms and the published book..." The books list Breezepaw as a brown-and-white she-cat, so definitely a change. Nightpaw still has the same description though.
2015:
Stonewing's name was originally Stonetooth.
Puddleshine (Puddlepaw), Needletail (Needlepaw), Yarrowleaf (Yarrowpaw) and Beenose (Beepaw) were originally the kits of Stonewing (Stonetooth) and Wasptail.
Yarrowleaf was originally a tom.
Puddleshine was already an apprentice listed under Littlecloud.
Fernpaw was originally called Ferntail and was listed as a queen.
Smokekit and Brindlekit were originally the kits of Ferntail and Oatclaw.
Icewing and Mintfur had a kit named Shimmerkit. While Nightkit was still there, I'm assuming that Shimmerkit was the original name for Breezekit.
Puddleshine was originally listed as a white tom with brown splotches, before becoming a brown tom with white splotches. It's not really that big of a difference though.
Jayclaw's name was originally Jaywing. (Revamped version of the allegiances she gave us)
About Dovewing and Bumblestripe: "I think Dovewing just wasn’t that into Bumblestripe. He’s nice, but she could never see him as more than a friend."
From 2015 about Breezepelt: "I don’t know what will happen to him yet but I HOPE that his relationship with Heathertail will finally bring him love and happiness and help him become the true warrior he should always have been."
From 2015 about how Mistystar is still alive: "good genes"
This: "Girl cats in particular range from motherly types to hyper-feminine to positively butch. The boys have been more stereotyped though. I’ll see if I can give a softer, more nurturing edge to some of our male heroes."
Kate wrote a chapter from Tall Shadow's POV in AFD. It was chapter 15 which ended up being a Thunder POV instead because the editorial team did not agree.
Kate doesn't think that Cloudrunner and Dawnstripe were mates.
Kate likes and respects Tall Shadow. She's a bit too stand-offish for her though.
Kate hopes One Eye is the first ever Dark Forest cat.
About Tom: "He’s probably in a kittypet afterlife, being gently taught how to be kind by much lovelier kittypets."
2014:
Kate about scars going away in StarClan: I think they do, if the cat wants them to. Some cats may see their scars as part of who they are and keep them, some may think the scars spoil who they are. I suspect that Brightheart would love to be the beautiful young cat she used to be and she would lose her wounds in StarClan.
Kate on Clear Sky: "I have no great love for Clear Sky. I don’t think he’s really bad, but I find him so wrong-headed and arrogant that I don’t really like him. I much prefer my evil cats to WANT to be evil. Somehow it’s not so much fun when they’re just bad because of faulty reasoning."
Kate imagines Molepaw (Sorreltail's son) as a black with pale grey paws and muzzle.
According to Kate, the Erins forgot about Marshkit.
2013:
Kate loves the idea of Tallstar slipping out of StarClan territory to visit Jake in Kittypet Heaven.
Palebird had post natal depression, made worse by losing one of her kits.
Kate about why the visitors from TR would visit WindClan: "I think the visitors just wandered onto the moor one moon. WindClan were less insular than the other Clans, living at what feels to me like the high edge of the world instead of deep in forests and valleys, so they welcomed them, intrigued by their stories of the world they could see from the moor but never ventured into. So the visitors returned every greenleaf simply because they enjoyed each other’s company."
To Kate, the visitors from TR, had countryside accents – kind of Devonshire.
2012:
From May 2012: "I like Leafpool (more than Squirrelflight) but I see them as Cherith and Vicky’s characters because they first created them and it’s hard to love them as much as your own (e.g. Graystripe and yellowfang) – it’s a bit like loving your own children more. But Leafpool is okay. I like her and I hope she finds happiness, but not with Crowfeather. He’s shown he can be cruel if he doesn’t get what he wants. Leafpool deserves someone nobler."
Kate thinks that Gorseclaw from Code of the Clans is a brown tabby tom with a white belly.
About why Bluestar is so special: "Because she faced the hardest choice – her kits or her Clan, and gave up her kits for her Clan (ok, why didn’t she just dump her kits in the nursery for some other queen to look after and lead the Clan? Because she thought they’d be better off with their father and she might not have got the job as leader if the Clan thought she should be looking after her kits…it happens)"
Kate once said that she thinks Ivypool and Tigerheart would "be a cranky couple that nobody’d want to spend time with..."
About Blood: "I’m terrifically squeamish – Cherith does blood beautifully – she and Vicky are way tougher than me – I really avoid mentioning gore. It reminds of lying in bed as a kid and listening to cat fights outside – they sounded so agonising and aggressive they used to horrify me and I had to force my imagination not to picture what was happening – ironic that I end up writing books about fighting cats, eh?"
Firestar's death: "Firestar died of his wounds – the falling branch kinda symbolises his death."
About why Bumblestripe stopped having a crush on Ivypool apparently: "Ivypool changed when Dovewing got her power and she became snippy and jealous. I think Bumblestripe sensed this and drew closer to Dovewing…"
Bramblestar chose Squirrelflight as his deputy because he wanted to show his respect and loyalty to her.
It was Spottedleaf's destiny to save Sandstorm from Mapleshade in TLH.
Kate on Crowfeather in 2012: "I think Crowfeather stopped loving anyone after Feathertail died. I think his relationship with Leafpool was his attempt to try and love again, but his shrivelled old heart never really restarted. But that’s just my opinion…"
Kate about Ivypool getting a mate in 2012: "I think it should be a nice reliable cat because Ivypool can wander off the straight and narrow from time to time but he would love her dearly…who would fit that description?"
Kate about ThornxBlossom in 2012: "Oooh. ThornxBlossom – we didn’t make it clear in TLH, but yes, they should be together, shouldn’t they?"
Heronpaw (Heronwing) was originally a male brown tabby, Larkpaw (Larkwing) was originally a grey female cat and Crouchpaw (Crouchfoot) was originally a black male.
While Kate didn't cry when Firestar died, she welled up for Ferncloud and Mousefur.
2011:
From 2011 about Bumblestripe's name: "Someone commented that she’d like Bumblestripe more if it wasn’t for his name – I kinda agree – he’s a much better choice for Dovewing than arrogant old Tigerheart but he has a very uncool name – which is kinda endearing, I guess…"
Lilykit (Lilyheart) and Seedkit (Seedpaw) were both originally tortoiseshell and white. Lilyheart is sometimes still listed as one in allegiances.
From Erika:
Erika stated on the old forums that Purdy was the same age as Mousefur. So yeah, he was pretty old alright. It makes me wonder how old Barley is exactly.
