Amberstone || Outside of Camp
Amberstone had meowed out loud from the sudden impact. Realizing it was only an apprentice she sighed and tossed the youngin off, her fur slowly putting itself down on its own. With a flick of her ears, she had both apprentices knocked over, "The predator for the win!"She exclaimed loudly, laughing. However, realizing the situation, she began to scold the both of them."What are you two doing out here anyway? You two should be at camp! What if something attacks one of you? Or both of you!" Her ears pinned back out of frustration and she sighed, "You two are a bit far from camp. Maybe if you both are a little closer, it would be alright. However, this, this isn't okay! You two are going to come with me? We can go to the river, and then, you guys can find a more quiet place around it, since it is much closer to camp and I won't tell that you two were even out here."~~~ Brindlebriar & Morticat (( I hope this one doesn't come off weird c: )) ~F R O S T P A W ~ Frostpaw jumped back onto her paws, completely taken by surprise at the she-cats response. "Uhh.. okay..." She trailed, glancing at Spiderpaw. She let her tail hit the ground in disappointment, she didn't really want to stay close to camp, someone else might find them. Frostpaw sighed and shook the dirt from her white fur. Her stomach growled, it had been a while since she had eaten, and maybe the river had more prey to catch ~M U D F U R~ Mudfur glaced around and realized he went to wrong direction. "Mouse dung!" He spat crossly. He was right next to the two-leg place again, the last place he wanted to be. "He opened his mouth to see where Amberstone was, but instead he caught the scent of new cats. He perked his ears and stopped, looking around.

The tom cocked his head at Amberstone, "Well alright," he responded. Spiderpaw was quite proud of himself at how well he had attacked the she-cat from up in the tree, and felt pleased that Frostpaw had been there to see him doing something brave, not being lazy like he usually was. "We can go by ourselves, thank you Amberstone," Spiderpaw said with a cheeky smile across his face, looking over at Frostpaw and giving her a small nod before darting off through the forest in the direction of the river. He suddenly got to thinking about having a juicy piece of fresh kill and he frowned, considering going back to camp to rest up and eat but he also had his companion to consider.

"I used to be like you when I was an apprentice." The young warrior chuckled, "There's a place by the river that's real good at being hidden. Most warriors on patrol don't even see it because it blends in. If you go into the trees, most likely you'll be hidden. You get a good view of the sun too. And it's safe. There's a lot of leaves covering most branches so when you pass the first set of branches, you'll be hidden well." Her ears flicked, as Spiderpaw responded and took off, and she called out, "Remind me to show you sometime then. And be careful you two!"
Remembering what direction the opposing warrior had went, the female had thought, 'Mudfur better be okay. He went in the wrong direction.' She then followed his scent 's direction. "Mudfur!" She called out once more, voice full of concern.

Frostpaw rolled her eyes and darted off towards the direction of the river. She stayed light on her feet, in case there was an animal that was willing to make itself her dinner. She let the wind blow through her white fur, dancing around the trees. Spiderpaw was directly in front of her now and she narrowed her eyes. 'I bet I could tackle him.' she thought. She forced her legs too move faster and her strides to get longer. When she was close enough, she jumped and fastened herself in the flank of Spiderpaw, keeping her claws sheathed. Because of the speed they were going, they both rolled in the moist leaves, blurring like one ball of fur until they stopped in time before rolling into the river. Frostpaw jumped back and stuck her rump high up in the air, her tail flicking back and forth. "Its pretty sad that a cat as small as me can catch you like that." She teased, narrowing her eyes.

one again, Amberstone's voice brought him back to reality. "I'm over here." He called, all turned around. He wondered around a little longer before turning away, sadness tugging at him. "I had family over there...." He thought to himself. "I saved Frostpaw over there..." He couldn't help but feel a little sad. So much has changed recently, all for the good of course. He finally found Amberstone and padded up next to her. "sorry about that." He mewed, flicking the tip of her ear with his tail.

Mudfur shook his head. "just some random thoughts." He mewed, thankful for her being there. "I think my head is a little rattled still. Wanna go to the river still? He asked, pressing in the right direction this time. He stopped at looked at Amberstone. "What about Frostpaw?" He mewed, suddenly getting serious. He has raised her, brought her to this clan and took care of her. He knew she had the tendency to make bad decisions, or crazy ones without thinking. "She isn't hurt, is she?" He asked, concern filling his voice.

He narrowed his eyes and scoffed, cuffing her over the ear with his paw, claws sheathed, "I was going the speed of a slug," he countered playfully, "but I admit if I was a rabbit you would have caught me," Spiderpaw purred with laughter, his yellow eyes lighting up happily as he looked at her. "I didn't realize we were this close to to he river," he exclaimed, rolling over to his other side and gazing into the rippling waters that reflected the familiar rocks and trees. While he could admit to everything being sublime and beautiful, he still held true to his ways that he did not want anything to do with being competitive, to try to be the best warrior. Spiderpaw wanted to be the best at enjoying life and having more days like the one he was currently experiencing. He didn't see how he could enjoy his time if he spent it worrying, being anxious, fighting and trying to be better than everyone. He wondered if Frostpaw understood that, or if she felt any of the same attachments he had to the enjoyment of life. "I'd like to talk about it with her one day," he thought to himself, deciding he would eventually open up to her about his more personal thoughts. For now though, he would enjoy his newfound friendship. "Can you swim?" He asked Frostpaw.

Mouseberry had her feelings set on talking to her brother today. With her recently busy clan-life, she hadn't gone back to her two-legs for two dusks now but now she really had to go back, to assure them that she was safe and to talk to Felix. She loved her two-legs - they were always so happy with her company and always made sure that in the cold seasons she had food and a warm place to sleep if she needed it. They were selfless and kind, and Mouseberry didn't have to worry about her duties or troubled social life when she was curled up in their lap. While in SkyClan she was typically shy and awkward, and had low self confidence, she knew her brother and much of her shyness dissolved whenever she was around him, but that didn't change her self confidence. The splotchy furred she-cat easily maneuvered her way through a broken piece of wooded fence at their nest and wiggled her way through a few thick bushes until she emerged in the backyard. She stood still and inhaled the air, hoping that Felix was outside.

~F R O S T P A W ~ Frostpaw laughed loudly, scaring the birds from the trees. "Oops." She giggled, dipping her head. She hadn't been to the river before, and the beauty of it caught her off guard. The gurgling of the water, the fresh fishy smell, the brown and orange leaves against the Rocky ledges. She dug her claws into the dirt and looked into the water. "I've never been in water before...." She whispered. Looking at it, she felt panic ride in her chest. The thought of her falling into the water and never returning to the top frightened her more than being sent back to camp to look after the elders. She steadied herself and looked at Spiderpaw, seeing his somber facial expression. "you alright?" She asked, licking his ear. She sat down on the bank and purred. She knew she'd be okay here with Spiderpaw, he wouldn't let anything happen to her.

Amberstone just shrugged to his question. "Well, yes, I trust you very much. So I do believe I can trust you with about everything. Since we aren't that close. But within another day or two, and you'll be my best friend and know everything." She mumbled softly while she sat down to look at the ground, smiling at her last part. Her ears flicked towards the dirt violently and she took a deep sniff of the air, which was relaxing her senses. She then turned to the warrior and sighed, bowing her head and closing her eyes, "I apologize for behaving like that. But yes, I trust you a lot already, Mudfur. Why do you ask?" Her voice had showed how much curiosity was hidden within her, however, she kept her head down, embarrassed of how she had acted in front of the male.

"Yeah, it's nothing," the tom simply shrugged off, "you're fun to hang out with Frostpaw. I hope we can keep having days like these," he chirped, positivity reflected in his words and tone. He hoped that by affirming enjoying her company, she might consider he was someone she wanted to talk to and hear ideas from. As he laid, Spiderpaw stretched out his body, unsheathing his claws into the soft ground bellow and picking up pebbles and dirt. He was glad that the she-cat wasn't a swimmer, as he wasn't so keen on getting wet either. "What's wrong with getting in the water?" he asked her, hoping to get better insight as to her fears and opinions. He got to his paws and padded a few paces, dipping his head and lapping up a few droplets of water as if he was challenging her.

The sun was basking down on the toms ginger and white fur as soon as he trotted outside using the cat door on his housefolks nest. He stretched his paws in front of him and yawned, digging his claws into the wooden porch before bounding down the steps and onto the grass. He purred softly to himself. He liked the garden, and enjoyed having it to himself whenever his sister was off doing whatever it was with those wold cats. He rolled onto his back, his soft white belly being exposed to the air. Felix felt himself relax, enjoying the freshness of the out doors. The green, olive colored collar around his neck jingled with each movement he made. He was enjoying himself until he noticed his sisters scent. Felix snorted, rolled over and jumped up to his paws, flicking his tail. "You've come back! I'm surprised. I thought they talked you into staying with them for good!" Felix bounded over to his sister and purred, nudging her gently before sighing softly. "I missed you. Our housefolk were getting worried that you'd been gone for two nights. It's every other week that you spend away from home..." He fretted before sniffing Mouseberry over, trying to see if he could taste the salty tinge of any infections, but nothing. "Why were you gone again?" Felix asked curiously, sitting down, wrapping his fluffy tail over his paws and getting ready to listen to his sister.

"Felix!" the she-cat exclaimed as he came into view. She cocked her head as he spoke and gave him a quizzical look, "they couldn't talk me into staying away from my brother," Mouseberry said to him gently, trying to reassure him. Her gaze drifted from Felix to their nest. She could hear things clinking inside and soft voices, warm orange light radiating from the window to the outside and the strong smell of food. She sighed thinking about her housefolks, but even now just spending a few moments away from the Clan she felt a deep-seeded sense of duty, and also worry for her clan-mates, how not being there meant less warriors, less bodies to protect against any unfortunate events. She could never really live solely in the Twolegplace knowing everything she knew now, and the cats she had met in the last few moons since she was made a Daylight Warrior in SkyClan. "I missed you too," she said with a hint of relief that he had also missed her, "I have things to do in SkyClan - with my clan-mates - if I am gone for one day I miss so much, I feel like I should have been there for them doing my part and I feel guilty," Mouseberry tries hard to explain.

[ Felix ] - - [ Twoleg Place ] - - [ Morticat ]
Felix listened curiously to his sister explain why she had been away for such a long time. His face seemed to droop with a sadness that he couldn't even explain himself. His tail twitched as he glanced over his shoulder to their two-legs. "You must really love being in that Skyclan. Every time you speak of it, and your clanmates, you get that kind of sparkle in your eyes that you would get when we were kittens, hunting for that feather toy the housefolks kits would use to play with us." The ginger and white tom looked back at his sister and frowned slightly. Of course he wasn't going to force her to stay with him in their den, but he also didn't want her to go back and risk being injured or even killed. Then... poor Felix would never see her again. "But, Mouseberry," He remembered her name she had received inside of the clan. "If you really do enjy it out there, with those wild cats, then you should maybe stay with them. As much as I will worry about you, and never seeing you again, I don't want you to feel lost without them." He mewed softly, nudging his sisters cheek gently with his muzzle. Felix didn't know much of what to say. He didn't want his sister to feel obligated to seeing him and staying with their housefolk.

"Take all the time you need Amberstone. I'm not going anywhere." He relaxed and looked down at their reflection in the water. He felt the warmth rise in his paws, an odd feeling for him. Was he beginning to catch feelings for this cat? He dismissed the thought as fast a it came, not wanting to give her the wrong impression or get her hopes up, after all, he was unable to prove her with kits and he knew no one would want him in that way. "I only asked because you seemed disturbed about something, and i just wanted to let you know i always have an open ear." She blinked at his comforting action, unsure of what to do. Amberstone hasn't been given this kind of attention in so long, and the only cat she could remember who did was a certain apprentice's mother and maybe her own, who were both, now deceased. "I see.." She murmured softly before nodding and lightly leaned against him. "I don't like being near the two-legs' dens. That's all. Sorry if I concerned you in any way." She spoke lightheartedly, and the she-cat had looked to Mudfur with a bright smile.

He shifted his weight awkwardly. "I used to live outside, and the two-legs would set food out everyday for me. I'd go in occasionally if i got cold." He looked into Amberstone's eyes, hoping that she wouldn't think his as 'soft' or 'incapable'. "I actually found Frostpaw around here as well." He shuttered at the memory, the poor kt was near death, and so, so small. It hurt him just to think about how much he felt as though Frostpaw didn't appreciate him. "Well then you were more like a rogue, no? The two-legs only fed you." She shuffled her paws out of nervousness. She didn't like being around the two-leg dens, and kitty-pets were normally kind to her if she came across any. However, that was a long long time ago. When she was a much happier cat, and when she was less experienced. But that time was over now. She had to focus on other things, like the clan. Soft words had escaped her warm cavern, and she had chuckled a bit, "I don't mind sitting here. It brings back a few memories, actually." The female shook her head, "But those were old memories— Frostpaw? You seem to care for her a lot. Is she more like a daughter or sister figure?" Amberstone smiled, understanding how taking care of an apprentice feels.
