"Eeuuggghh!" He mewed in surprise. He felt her paws batter his face, and he silently thanked starclan that her claws here sheathed, knowing what kind of damage she could've done if they weren't. He was going to fight back when he felt her body stiffen, and the scent in the air changed. He gently pushed her off of him and lowered himself to the ground, allowing the new scent to filter on his tongue. "What do you think it is?" He whispered, barely audible. His tailtip twitched nervously and he dug his claws into the loose dirt.

Amberstone || Camp
Amberstone licked around her mouth and sniffed once more, her eyes darting around. "Well, maybe some type of prey. It doesn't smell too familiar. However, I haven't been out hunting in a while." Her ears flicked within a blink of an eye and bowed her head in embarrassment.
Amberstone put one paw forward cautiously, trying to follow the scent slowly. Flicking her tail, she raised her head high and stalked forward quietly, looking around towards the large bushes.
"Rabbit, perhaps?"
Her voice was a bit quiet, but it was however, more of a quiet day. She turned back and smiled. "Sorry for the dramatization." ~~~Brindlebriar |

Mudfur steadied himself, watching Amberstone closely. He opened his mouth once more and waiting for the scent to hit him again. A soft breeze ruffeled the leaves and brought on the strong scent of not only one, but two rabbits. Excitement rose in his chest as he pressed forwards to where the scent was coming from. He silently motioned towards Amberstone, hoping she'd catch the scent and get the second rabbit. He couldn't lunge for one alone, they had to lunge at the same time. Mudfur settled back on his haunches, and eyes the rabbit.

Amberstone || Outside of Camp
The female sniffs the air once more, catching the scent of two. She looked over to the opposing male warrior and abruptly nods. She lowers her body to the ground and slowly makes her way towards the other rabbit. Keeping her distance, she looked over at Mudfur, slightly tilting her head to the side and nods, as if telepathically telling him, 'You signal when'. ~~~ Brindlebriar |

The climb up the tree was no problem for Spiderpaw with his rather long, nimble limbs. He leaped up next to her and up to the branch above, not wanting the weight of them both to break a low and weak branch. His tail hung over the branch and rested on Frostpaw's head, "Is that as far as you can climb? I'm impressed," the tom teased, leaping up a few more branch and settling down, the branch swaying slightly with the sudden weight of his body and showering down a drizzle of old tree bark. "Now how am I going to get down? I'm exhausted," he called down to Frostpaw, slumping his body down against the main thickness of the tree, draping his limbs over each end of the branch. From here he had a perfect view down to the she-cat and the rest of the busy world.

Mudfur gave a twitch of his tail and headed towards the rabbits. He made sure to stay light on his feet and lots to the ground. As soon as he was close enough he pounced, landing perfectly on top of the rabbit. He felt the rabbit wiggle beneath him, but as he dug his claws in and gently nipped it's neck, he felt the animal go limp. Pleased with his kill he loved up at Amberstone and purred.

Frostpaw swatted at Spiderpaws tail that dangled on her head. "I can climb higher!" She spat. "I just didn't want you to get stuck." She laughed and stood on the low branch. She watched how smoothly the Tom hopped higher in the tree and her eyes widened. She was good, but not THAT good. She dug her claws into the branch and leaned over to get a closer look around. She sniffed the air, catching scent of other cats. She looked up at Spiderpaw and decided she would try to join him. She hopped from limb to limp, careful of where she placed her paws. When she lighted on the branch he was on, she curled up in a ball and settled her head on his belly, breathing in his scent. She let out a long breath and let her little self relax.

Amberstone || Outside of Camp
Amberstone had stalked forward slowly, her muscles twitching and pinching together as she had moved elegantly. She studied Mudfur's body figure as she waited for his command, and once noticing the twitch of his tail, she had leaped forward. However, she had jumped too late, distracted by her staring, and the rabbit slipped out of her grasp and had taken off. She broke out into her run, she had looked back at Mudfur, looking to her, pleased. She blinked in acknowledgement and being devoted and a tough character, she trailed after the rabbit. Within a few seconds, Amberstone was right behind the rabbit.
The female was just as fast as the smaller mammal, and had ran under the thick storms of branches and leaves from many bushes before reaching out into a clearing.
The perfect clearing for an open kill. Digging her claws into the soft surface below her, she boosted herself forward, unsheathing her claws in the process and caught the spine of the rabbit, pulling it back with a strong force and bringing a final blow to the neck of the prey. She felt the body go limp beneath her, and had dropped the prey instantly. She pushed her body back up from using her body weight to trap the creature, and panted from little exhaustion. Looking down at the animal she had caught, she marveled at how plump the rabbit was, and smiled gratefully. Amberstone had sniffed the air, and caught the smell of another prey. Slightly bigger than the rabbit. 'Perhaps a bird?' She thought. 'Maybe I can catch it.'

Mudfur's eyes opened wide as he watched Amberstone, as fast as lightning take off in the direction of the rabbit. He followed after slowly, making sure not to cross paths with her or the rabbit. After what seemed like a long distance, he noticed something familiar- they were by the two-leg place. Mudfur slowed and opened his mouth, breathing in the familiar scent of his former home. The leaves crunched beautifully under his feet. He had forgotten all about Amberstone for the moment, wondering if he would see a familiar cat perched on a fence somewhere. Mudfur never considered himself a kitty pet, and hated that past life of his, he was a warrior now, that's all that mattered to him. He stopped where he was, smelling another animal... But he couldn't exactly make out what it was.

Amberstone || Outside of Camp
Amberstone had meowed to herself quietly, noticing the bird in the tree. She crouched down, beginning to make hushed chattering calls. Flicking her ears forward, she slowly climbed her way up the tree, cautiously and carefully placing her paws on strong branches, and even clawing the quietest she could. She slowly pulled herself onto a heavy, thick branch. She stalked forward quietly, noticing the bird didn't notice her. She kept taking slow steps, looking down occasionally to make sure she didn't step on anything. But she grew onto her target and eventually, she stopped looking down. 'One paw, two paw, three paw, four. One paw, two paw, three paw, four. One paw, two paw, three pa—' A loud snapping noise cut off her thoughts. And her eyes widened at the bird who had noticed her presence. It began to flap its wings, and she wasn't going to risk the prey-pile to be low. The bird was in air when she jumped up, and tackled down the bird mid-air. She bit its neck in the process of grasping it with her claws. Loud squawks of fear and anger escaped the slighty-larger-than-medium bird. Amberstone landed on her legs with a thump, the bird beneath her, neck in her jaws. And finally the bird went limp. She dropped the bird next to her rabbit and purred delightedly. She sniffed the air once more before catching a familiar scent, "Mudfur?" She called out loudly. No response. She hid the prey well, and took off towards the male's scent. "Mudfur? Is that you?" She called out once more, the scent getting stronger.

From where they sat, they could very well see the gorge and fallen tree, along with all the varying sizes of rocks and boulders near the outskirts of camp and within, though at the distance the apprentices were and hidden behind foliage, they themselves were unseen. The climb had come easy to him, being a SkyClan cat meant being able to leap through trees like a squirrel and stick the landing, though this didn't mean he enjoyed exerting his precious energy. Spiderpaw gazed down at Frostpaw relaxing comfortably against him and he closed his eyes and did the same, gently resting his chin on her head and feeling the gentle rhythm of her purrs resonate against his own. Why be lazy and lonely when he could be lazy and have her company?

Mudfur perked up his ears and stopped. "Amberstone!" He called, letting her know where he wondered off to. He instantly felt bad for leaving her behind, what if something happened o her? Panic began to rise in his chest and he took off in the direction of her voice. He didn't realize how close he had gotten to her, for his heart beat was pounding so loudly in his ears that he didn't even hear his own paws hitting the ground. He turned around a giant tree and barreled head on into the she-cat, knocking himself over. He laid on the ground for a moment and tried to collect himself. Did he run into Ambersone or the tree? He couldn't tell, all he knew was his head hurt, so he tightly closed his eyes, scrunching up his face. He brought his front paws around his head and moaned.
~F R O S T P A W~
Frostpaw dozed for what seemed hours. The light breez, the warmth of Spiderpaw, the chirping of birds, it all seemed like a dream. Suddenly, she lifted her head and perked her ears. "Cats." She whipered. She looked down just intime to see Mudfur and a different cat collide head on. "What in starclans name is that dumb tom thinking." She hissed, she really didn't want to be seen, but also coulnt help but laugh at how Mudfur writhed on the ground, wrapping his paws around his head. She glanced up at Spiderpaw, wondering if he caught sight of what had happened.

Amberstone cried out quietly, falling onto the floor, but not as hard as Mudfur did. The female warrior had rubbed her nose a bit with the side of her forearm, and then focused on the male.
"M-Mudfur! Are you okay?"
She questioned, concerned deeply, she leaned forward and pawed his face softly. "You're not badly hurt, are you?" She questioned urgently, yet, her voice was still calm and sweet. She pawed his face a little harder to see his reaction, in attempt to discover what exactly she could do to help the tom.

Spiderpaw had also seen the event unfold and tried his best to suppress laughter, "That clumsy tom took care of you right?" he asked Frostpaw in a hushed voice, a look of amusement spread across his face. He shook his head and observed the scene bellow, "I bet I could pounce on them from here as if they were an intruder," he said to the she-cat in a challenging voice. He got up to his paws slowly and crouched on the branch with a look of fake determination. |

Mudfur rolled onto his back and moaned even more dramatically. "You KILLED me!" He croaked jokingly. He stuck out his tongue, letting it dangle out of the side of his mouth. He let his body go completely limp and he dramatically huffed out a big breath. He peaked open one eye and glanced at Amberstone, hoping she would catch the joke, though his head did throb a little. "You sure are a hard head." He whispered, waving a paw up in the air, attempting to boop her on the head, but missing, making it look like he was swatting flies.

Frostpaw giggled. "Do it, I dare you." she watched as Spiderpaw was getting ready to pounce off the high branch. She was a little nervous tho, what would they think if they found out her and Spiderpaw were in the tree? Would they be sentenced to clean the elders den?

"I killed the great and mighty Mudfur! What will I do?!" Amberstone had frowned slightly by his comment but shook it off and replied with a giggle, "Oh? And what exactly are you then? Soft-headed?" She sat down next to him and placed her head under his paw, which was batting at the air. Concern was written all over her face. "How much does it hurt? Maybe we could visit the pond to help it soothe down?"~~~

Mudfur rolled onto his belly, gazing into the eyes of the pretty she-cat" "let's do it."" He mewed happily, licking her cheek. He hadn't been down to the river yet,
but heard that it was beautiful. Maybe if they found a shallow place they'd swim. He leaned up and pressed his nose to her ear "Race you there" He whispered with a "bet you won't beat me" time of voice. He rose to his paws and sauntered of on the wrong direction.

The black-furred tom nodded silently at Frostpaw, keeping his gaze fixed on Amberstone. He decided that Mudfur didn't deserve to be tackled after already getting himself hurt just moments before. Spiderpaw wiggled his haunches, tail leveled to the branch launched himself outwards off of the branch. For a moment he was flailing, never before having jumped to the ground at such a high branch but he quickly forced himself to gather composure and he came barreling down from the sky with a confidence in his paws, claw sheathed as to not hurt Amberstone he came down from the sky without a sound, knocking over the Warrior quickly with his front legs extended outwards with a bend. "SkyClan, we have an intruder!" he exclaimed loudly, though his snorting laughter gave away how he was in no way serious. |

Frostpaws eyes widened as she watched Spiderpaw land perfectly on the other cat. she slowly tuned to climb down the tree, placing her paws on the correct spots until she reached the ground. She lighted over to where Spiderpaw had landed and ran her tail up his spine. "Good job, guardian of the Trees and Air!" she laughed and eyed the she cat warily, hoping not to send away to camp so soon.

Amberstone had meowed out loud from the sudden impact. Realizing it was only an apprentice she sighed and tossed the youngin off, her fur slowly putting itself down on its own. With a flick of her ears, she had both apprentices knocked over, "The predator for the win!"She exclaimed loudly, laughing. However, realizing the situation, she began to scold the both of them."What are you two doing out here anyway? You two should be at camp! What if something attacks one of you? Or both of you!" Her ears pinned back out of frustration and she sighed, "You two are a bit far from camp. Maybe if you both are a little closer, it would be alright. However, this, this isn't okay! You two are going to come with me? We can go to the river, and then, you guys can find a more quiet place around it, since it is much closer to camp and I won't tell that you two were even out here."~~~
