The she-cat nodded in understanding. Of course, the rising river had been across her mind. What would happen if it flooded the camp?
Shaking her head, Hazelfrost decided to shake off the idea of such a disaster. Hopefully nothing would happen. It was a blessing if the river would stop rising and go back to regular levels, that's for sure.
Before she could respond to Dovespeck and Cindernight, the molly had froze in her spot, taking attention to the growling. Backing up against the females, she looked around attentively, not liking the deep growling. It was surely a mood change, and she definitely wasn't fond of that.
Looking over her shoulder, her eyes widened. "Watch out!" She cried, noticing the badger leap. It caught her off guard, surely, but the calico unsheathed her claws and leaped onto the predator, and attempting to grab hold with her mouth had caused her to miss, ripping its ear in the process. Her ears were flattened against her skull in complete disgust, but nonetheless, Hazelfrost dug her claws into its flank as she landed, and pulled the creature off of Cindernight with a force.
She fell off, noticing how she had gained its attention. With a loud hiss, spit flew everywhere. Looking at Hazelfrost now, she had a complete different appearance from being the happy, forgiving she-cat from early. No, no, not only looked extremely angry, but also ridiculous at the same time; her fur had fluffed up to the extreme, and being a medium hair, she had looked like a partially colored cotton ball.
Curiosity caused the combatant to look over at Cindernight. However, only stealing a glance, she turned her attention back to the badger. Gaining a boost of confidence, Hazelfrost leaped on the badger once more, clawing and biting to where it drew blood. She wanted to give Cindernight enough time to recover, and hopefully she was a good distraction for it.
( Hopefully this doesn't interfere with anything? ;u; )

[Camp & Morticat]
Frostpaw stopped eating and looked at the tom. He had actually caught her nonverbal thoughts. Never had she thought that he could catch on so fast, though she wasn't exactly the best at hiding her thoughts and emotions, for they would either show on her face or through her eyes. She let a small smile creep on her face. "Ya know, I've never really been good at making friends, but I am glad we are where we are, Spiderpaw." She felt her fur grow warm, her heart beating loud and fast. She couldn't bare the thought of losing Spiderpaw, and now that he assured her that she wouldn't need to worry, a wave of peace seemed to wash over her.
"Do you think we will have to move camp somewhere else with all the rising water?" She asked, suddenly changing the topic. "I overheard mudfur talking the other day about how high the river had gotten in the past moon, and I am a little worried...." Ever since she was a kit, she had always been good at sticking her nose in places where it didn't belong, yet for some reason, the rising of the river seemed to be a bigger issue than the rest of Skyclan was making it. She anxiously took another bite of the robin, spitting out the feathers.

t i g e r f r o s t f o r e s t Tigerfrost was hunting when he heard the sounds of a skirmish. He abandoned his squirrel, dashing away to see the commotion. A few heartbeats later, he spotted the badger leaping on Cindernight and Hazelfrost's heroic efforts to save her Clanmate. The tom took to the trees, climbing high enough to avoid detection. He jumped from branch to branch before he stood right over the badger. His blue eyes narrowed into slits and he prepared to pounce on the creature. He took in a deep breath and plummeted into battle. He landed on the shoulders of the badger, aiming swipes at its eyes. "Cindernight, are you okay?" he asked without turning around to look at her. The badger roughly shook its pelt, shaking Tigerfrost off with a thud. Dazed, he shook his head and scrambled to his paws. He blinked a few times, before being slashed at, waking him back to reality. The first two swipes missed, but the third landed hard on his shoulder, making it bleed. He hissed and batted at the animal, trying to push it back before it could lunge at him.

[ I'll do the results from the chance chart thing right now. I'll post what I have until I have to get off. Due to this being a badger attack, I will only go to the third stage. (Roll dice of three.) Cindernight - Heads - Three - RESULT: Wounds severe enough for possible infection to set in. Hazelfrost - Tails - None - RESULT: She can come out of this unscathed. Tigerfrost - Tails - None - RESULT: He can come out of this unscathed. Dovespeck - Tails - None - RESULT: She can come out of this unscathed.
Due to results, I will reroll when I return. IF I don't get a noon run.]

He nodded his head in agreement as he leaned down and finally gulped down the remainder of the soft meat, brushing dust and pine needles over the bone fragments. Spiderpaw's belly felt content and warm and the tom let out a satisfied groan as he stretched down onto his belly and looked at Frostpaw, "I'm glad I can be there for you goofball, we're always going to be friends," he assured her, giving her a cheesy smile. He couldn't possibly imagine a life without the small white she-cat bringing him out of his lazy stupor and always giving him something to laugh about. Spiderpaw felt himself tense up as Frostpaw began to talk about the possibility of moving camp. He knew he had heard some piece of the rumor from the other apprentices but he hadn't paid it too much mind until Frostpaw laid it out for him. "Move camp?" he repeated, "No way, Blizzardstar wouldn't just abandon camp like that. Maybe somewhere temporary but we'd come back, right?" Spiderpaw tried not to sound overly worried over the prospect of big change like what she described.
{ They sure like to friend-zone each other, haha. }

[Camp & Morticat ]
Frostpaw finished up her bird, rising to a sitting position. "I mean, I don't see Blizzardstar making a decision that would harm the clan..." She trailed off, wondering how the whole clan moving would affect the elders, queens and kits. "And what if i wanna be more than just friends." She added, her voice quiet. She shuffled her paws in the dirt, making two small half circles in front of her. "I mean, after we're warriors..." she looked down, her forehead scrunching. The words didn't seem to be coming out like she wanted them to, and she silently hoped that Spiderpaw wouldn't find her awkward and annoying.
[Badger Attack & 【 ᵗʷᶦˡᶦᵍʰᵗ 】 & ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁]
Cindernight lay on the ground, breathing heavily. The weight of the badger took the breath right out of her, leaving her to lie on the ground, stunned. She was bleeding heavily from the side, and her ear had been torn from the badgers vicious swipe. She silently thanked Starclan for Tigerfrost, her mind slowly regaining focus.
Dovespeck nodded shortly at Tigerfrost when he dropped from the trees, her mind washed full of thankfulness. Although the badger was not fully grown, it was still no match for her, seeing her size was small compared to it. She swiped at the animal, her blood rushing and pounding in her ears. She noticed Cindernight lying still on the ground. Small little breathes seemed to escaped the she-cats mouth, so Dove deemed her to be fine for now, though nervousness seemed to root her paws to the ground, making her legs heavy. With Dovespeck, Hazelfrost, and Tigerfrost batting at the badger, landing blows in different places, the animal turned tail and backed away, a low growl seeping out of its mouth.
the fight was over though Dovespeck suffered some deep scratches, Cindernight still hadn't moved. Dove stood her ground, making sure the badger had actually given up the fight before turning to her friend. "Cindernight!" She whispered as she crouched down next to her. "I haven't lost you, have I?" The she-cats voice cracked as her head hung low over the body.
A loud huff came the dark brown tabby, her yellow eyes sliding open. "Of course not, mouse brain." She flicked her tail, showing that she was okay. "Thanks to Tigerfrost." She added. The tabby tried to rise to her paws, wincing in pain.

"Mouse-brain!" Hazelfrost hissed as she took notice to the male. Of course it was a stupid move, but silently the calico thanked StarClan for the assistance. The molly took this chance as to attack the badger, and jumped on, attacking the predator's underside, more focusing on it's neck. Although it as also risky, it was much more distracted on Tigerfrost. As soon as she felt it began to weaken, Hazelfrost slipped out from under the badger.
Now, the badger lay, and Hazelfrost couldn't hiss in pain, as she turned her cranium to look back. Her leg had stung greatly, and she never felt any pain when she attacked the creature, yet, there was blood oozing from the back of her leg.
Ears perked upwards had signified the calico was listening. But as soon as Cindernight replied, the she-cat felt emotional pain. Sure, he had somewhat saved the she-cats, but they could've handled it just fine. Without Hazelfrost jumping on the badger, Cindernight could have been in a much worse situation.
She growled lowly, eyeballing Tigerfrost with cold optics. She wasn't jealous, but more, she was hurt that her participation wasn't even acknowledged. With a flick of her tail, she turned to Cindernight, her voice soft. "Do you need any help back to camp, Cindernight?"

Silverstrike was pretty bad at working in a team, the flat faced cat couldn't help but admit it. So when it came to hunting, they usually struck out on their own. But that didn't always work out well for them. Like now. To put it frankly, they were stuck. Completely and utterly stuck. The cat had been doing fairly well with kills, stalking a bird which had made the bad decision to land on the ground and pick for worms. Seeing the opportunity, they had very easily ignored the nearby hole in the ground, and the fact that the recent rainfall had made the ground weak. They were a heavy cat, so when they leapt forward and claimed their prize with a bite to the neck, they were left with a terrible surprise. The ground crumbled beneath them and left them in a deep, old, rain ruined rabbit den. The short legged cat spent quite a long time attempting to escape, but the new and tall wall of dirt was unstable and wet. And this left them stuck, unless help arrived. Oh Starclan, they were going to die down here! The cat released a worried meow, calling for any cat that might be able to hear. They may be prideful, but they would take being rescued sooner rather than later. They may be prideful, but they weren't dumb.

Brookfall had already been hunting out in the forest. It had been a few minutes out for her, but she had instantly found a small bird that was relatively close. Flicking her tail in excitement of the soon-to-be catch, Brookfall lowered herself to the forest floor. Quiet chittering came from the grumpy she-cat, and just as she was about to pounce on her prey, the cry of another cat had scared away her prey. In attempt to try and save the catch, she chased after it. Brookfall decided to leave it, knowing she wouldn't be able to catch the bird that had already been airborne. With a low growl, she turned towards the sound and crawled over to the cat's direction.
Realizing it was a clanmate, the Birman growled lowly. Internally she had scoffed, Mouse-brain. However, Brookfall still decided to help. "Alright, alright. Hush already. You're giving me a headache." She groaned angrily, and began to push on the remaining surface of the dirt, causing it to fall and create a somewhat flat staircase. Continuing her actions of kneading the dirt with both paws, it was finally big enough for the feline to crawl up. Although it may fall apart quick, her clanmate was able to run up the dirt hill and jump up onto the land before it fell apart.
Brookfall huffed, "Hurry up before it collapses and I leave you here."

Relief fell over the clan-cat as Brookfall's grumpy face peered over where they were trapped. The other cat's words as she pushed down an exit made Silverstrike release a grumble themself. "Yes, well. I didn't know if anyone was nearby. I didn't want to take any chances." They pawed at the fresh-kill in the hole with them, picking it up and making sure it wasn't buried by the pushed down dirt. Taking a few pawsteps back, they examined the slope with a flicking tail, falling back onto their haunches to give them the best chance at getting up as quickly as possible. "Hold on, hold on." was what they meant to say through the feathers of the bird, but it simply came out as a muffled, annoyed meow. With the quick stretch, Silverstrike bolted out of the hole, their short yet strong front paws clawing at the wet grass as they stumbled out of their doom, dirt covering their usually well-groomed pelt. Their chest was heaving a bit as the unstable stairway that had been made fell away, leaving the two cats in front of the large hole. Placing their kill on the ground, they immediately looked over their pelt in distress. They were going to need to groom themself for hours to get all the dirt out of their fur! "Thanks, I suppose."

Brookfall narrowed her blue eyes at Silverstrike. "You suppose?" Looking back to the ditch, the she-cat tilted her head slightly, noticing how the dirt pile had already fallen apart. She growled lowly, thinking of shoving the grey tabby back for being ungrateful.
The Birman looked back to her clanmate, a blank expression on her face. "Would you like to go back into that hole?" Turning around, she flicked her tail muttering, "Didn't think so." Her soft orbs flickering all over the area, looking for more prey, attempting to ignore the other feline.

"Yes. I suppose. You were pretty rude." Silverstrike pushed some dirt over their kill to leave it for later, stretching casually as their dirt covered tail flicked back and forth at the tip. "If you dared to do that, I'd be pulling you down with me." They replied to the threat casually as they licked the top of their paw, rubbing it over their face to get rid of the worst of the dirt. They hesitated. Would Brookfall actually do it? They supposed they were being... A bit rude. Then again, who wouldn't be agitated after just falling into a massive hole? "But I guess I should thank you anyway. You did get me out of there. It's been raining so much the ground is practically falling apart!" They grumbled, looking back down to the hole with an annoyed glint in their eye. "It's sort of worrying. If this is happening here, who's to say it won't happen to the gorge?"

She paused, not knowing if whether or not she should reply. With a prompt nod, she sat down, facing Silverstrike. "I think it's going to happen soon, honestly. Not only the rain, but the river had been rising rapidly. Next thing you know, we'll have a flood." She glanced down, noticing her paws were muddied. Brushing off the fact, Brookfall looked back towards the feline. "Next time, just watch where you're walking."

The question had caught the russet-colored tom by surprise, but he simply gave the younger apprentice an understanding look. Foxpaw was well aware of the strong empathy Sweetpaw possessed, and he knew that the recent outbreak must have taken a toll on her heart. "It makes me wish that I could've done more," he confessed, closing his eyes briefly. He let the cold air wash over him, the cool breeze ruffling his fur. "Watching cats you love die of sickness is a different battle then fighting another cat," the tom reflected; watching the green-cough epidemic wreak havoc on his clan-mates had given him a new world view.
"The medicine cats did their best to save our clanmates who got sick, and I'm thankful for their hard work." Foxpaw murmured, opening his green eyes once more. The apprentice glanced over to his friend, hesitating slightly. He wasn't sure whether or not his next words would be taken wrong - or perhaps they were simply weird in nature. He decided to take the risk, however, wanting Sweetpaw to know how much he appreciated her presence and survival through the epidemic. "And I'm rather glad that you didn't join the ranks of StarClan, though I hope that's not odd of me."

Silverstrike looked over at Brookfall, their whiskers twitching at the reply. "I wouldn't be surprised if it happened sooner rather than later." Their tail was twitching rapidly in slight embarrassment as they were reminded. "Yes, yes, I know." As they had their mouth opened in reply to the other feline, they suddenly spotted something. In a tree, a small distance away, another bird had just landed after the end of the cacophony that had occurred. The silver tabby's tail gently touched Brookfall's side to catch her attention, and the clan-cat gestured towards the unsuspecting white bellied bird that had caught their attention. The real question was, would they let Brookfall have the kill, or would they take it themself?
