His feet swung from where he sat on the low-hanging, thick, tree branch. He was barefoot and the soles of his feet were rough and hard. He wore dull, grey-brown shorts with two pockets on both sides. His shirt stopped and pulled in at the base of his chest and pulled around the back and up to the straps against the base of his neck that connected in a ring to the top of his shirt. The front of his shirt was an elastic white fabric and the back and the top strappings were leather. His skin was lightly tan and he was bright green eyes. In his hands he had a barely warm, golden bread bun with a few bites taken out already. He opened his mouth, revealing a neat row of white teeth and a set of sharp fangs on the top and bottom row. He bit down again into the bread, hungrily eating it. Under his eyes were a pair of scarlet stripes, tattoos. His smooth, straight, golden-ginger hair fell messily on his face and was dyed black on the sides. His hair was cut short in the back and a set of black cat ears protruded from his hair. He also had a matching, sleek black tail that hang over the back-side of the branch. He was only about a five minute walk from the town where he'd stolen the bread. It had been what the baker was selling on the street and it wasn't very big. He finished the bun and licked the crumbs from his fingers before pushing his hair out of his face. He knew he should wait a while before heading back into the town, but he was still hungry. He'd come to this town the day before and the baker had been selling loaves of bread that day, so he was disappointed t see the baker switched out what was sold each day. He had been a thief pretty much forever. He didn't remember his parents and his childhood was helping the older kids on the streets steal. When they were old enough, some kids tried to get jobs, but most of them went to new places where they weren't known. He didn't have any particular skills beside being fast and natural abilities that came with being half animal. Sight, hearing, balance. Because of this, he'd resorted to stealing to get by and learned that he could really only stay in one town about a week before authorities were called to deal with him. He jumped down from the tree, the grass soft under his feet and the dirt road a few feet to his right.
