ok but seriously
how could they make a character who is the daughter of TWO major characters and shares both a name and an appearance with one of the most popular characters in the series
hype up her introduction in BrS, particularly in the manga
and NOT give her the slightest personality? we know nothing about her
smh

I feel like people are expecting too much of her just because she's named after Hollyleaf.

*mai valentine abridged voice* faaaaanserviiice
okay but ye, if you name a character after one of the most recently popular characters, you need to have them as more than a background prop.

I feel like people are expecting too much of her just because she's named after Hollyleaf. I don't think a few lines after four books is too much. It's most a subproblem of the horrible job AVOS has done of having a supporting cast, though.

Thats the thing, I think generally AVoS biggest issue is too many cats, and not enough background character attention, while older cats are still alive. And they decide to kill of younger cats before they can even shine. But I've seen people not even remember or dismiss cats like Snowbush, who's older than Hollytuft, and I feel like he's more forgettable just because he doesn't share the name of a dead well known warrior like Hollyleaf.

A bit of a tangent, but yeah, the big problem is the amount of characters and baggage. The seventh arc would probably be a lot better if it had a big time jump and an all new cast, but it's unlikely that that will happen.

I wanted Hollyleaf fanservice. WHICH I WOULDN'T HAVE NEEDED IF THEY'D KILLED IVYPOOL INSTEAD OF HOLLYLEAF. Come on, I feel like that story would've worked out much better. Ivypool's story arc was pretty much done and her redeeming herself totally by dying in the battle would've been nice. Hollyleaf had so much potential and to kill her off RIGHT after she returns to ThunderClan just pissed me off. It makes no sense for them to kill either Ivy or Holly. Lionblaze was the more logical death of the original three.

The most boring and undeveloped of the three.

I'm one of the only people I know who doesn't like Hollyleaf all that much, lol. Her and her brothers all were hard to read, they annoyed me so much.
That being said, I want Hollytuft to be known for herself rather than who she was named after :/
