This is where I'm going to dump all my practice writing. o: Prompts come from tumblr, but if you'd like to submit one feel free to!
Criticism is always welcome! I'm not the best at writing and my descriptions are always very lacking. Pointers would be much appreciated!
Also, thank you for stopping by!
Prompt 1- I once had butterflies.
I once had butterflies. They would come in through the bedroom’s window. Some of them were blue, some of them were yellow. They’d flutter around together and sometimes just close enough that it seemed like they were trying to remind you of the blue and yellow flags hung around the city. Rarely, they’d land on the side of the cradle. They’d slowly flap their wings and watch in silence as I giggled and reached up for them. They always flew away when my mother would come in and pick me up. From over her shoulder I’d watch them glide back out the window. They never came back after one night. Maybe it’s because they knew my mother wouldn’t be coming back, either.
Prompt 2- “Is that what you’re doing? Trying to make me hate you?
This is a rough draft of a chapter for a story I've had in my head for awhile. o: Both characters are mine~~It's a skinwalker story

Prompt 2- “Is that what you’re doing? Trying to make me hate you?
“Is that what you’re doing? Trying to make me hate you?” The blond prince turned on the dragon, his blue eyes narrowing. “Perhaps.” Came the silky reply, his dark skinned face not giving any hint as to what was going through his mind. The dragon knew too well that his poker face wouldn’t protect him from the prince’s ability to read minds. It was a blessing and a curse to be friends with a mind reader.
The prince pondered for a moment, his lips pursing and eyebrows furrowing. This expression meant the priest was deep in thought. The dragon leaned back in his chair, propping his human form feet atop the table that they’d been playing Jihui on. He spent a good two minutes picking at his claws -which sat on the end of each finger where a human would have their frail white nails- before looking up as the prince had drawn to the answer he’d been thinking for.
“I honestly don’t think I could ever hate you. I still don’t fully trust you and I doubt we’ll agree morally on a lot of things, but I think hatred is impossible.”
The dragon raised an eyebrow. He slowly slid his feet back to the floor and leaned forward so he was somewhat closing in on the prince from over the table. “Oh? Even if I were to incinerate your city’s inners and take the crown for myself?”
The prince sat back and glanced away from the dragon, giving a giggle at his ‘threat’. He collected himself and looked back over, giving the black dragon a tilted-head smile. “Right now? Please, your wings are so small you can’t even fly for more than an hour. Your ‘incineration’ might be able to burn a few weeds in the stables.” He giggled again and leaned forward as he saw his friend lean back, the dragon clearly insulted by the reminder of how young he was. “…I have faith that you wouldn’t do anything of the sort. Now please, take your turn so we can finish this Jihui game by tomorrow.”

This is a rough draft of a chapter for a story I've had in my head for awhile. o: Both characters are mine~~It's a skinwalker story
The low growling sound she’d heard from a few miles back had returned, only it was much closer this time. In fact, it sounded like it was coming right for her. It was a deep rumble, along the lines of a hybrid between a dog’s growl and a tiger’s purr. The man didn’t seem to notice it. Leira keep struggling, though she knew it was worthless at this point. He was going to take all of her money and leave her out where with the wolf- or whatever.
Leira felt fear rise slowly and start bubbling through every bone and muscle in her body. It wasn’t because of the fact that she was in a headlock and being robbed. In fact, it was because of what she could sense behind the man robbing her. Her terror was justified as an agonized scream rung out in her ear.
Everything happened so fast. She dully could comprehend being shoved face first into the leaves and dirt, the man screaming in pain and surprise, a deep feline roar sounding from above her, more of the man’s screams, violent shoves and jerks as the creature dug its claws into the man, a gurgling noise silenced everything expect a low rumble and a sound of chewing.
Leria squeezed her eyes shut and send out a silent prayer to whoever would answer. She didn’t dare turn her head to see what was happening above. A foul and gut-twisting stench hit her nose and it took everything in her not to gag.
“Assess the situation to the best of your ability.” She mentally reminded herself. She had been robbed. Then a… mountain lion came and attacked the man robbing her. Now, it felt like she was pinned beneath the panther and the body of the man.
Her thoughts were cut short when she felt some of the weight instantly relieve itself. Then, slowly, more of it. The animal had gotten off and was pulling the body of the man with it. Was it trying to get to Leira? As soon as she felt enough weight lift off of her she forced her way to her feet with a desperate cry and stumbled forward. Her hands grabbed the bark of a tree and she finally swung her head around to look at her -possibly temporary- savior.
Leria’s eyes went wide and a gasp escaped her mouth. Laying in the ground was the terribly mangled body of the man who had been so intimidating just a few moments ago. The gore was sickening, but that wasn’t the worse part of it. The true horror was hovering over the body and staring Leria directly in the eyes.
Abomination was the first word that came to her mind. This creature was huge. Easily the size of a Great Dane. Its face was similar to a lion’s, but it had huge saber-like teeth dipping down from its upper lips. It was muscular among the tan and blacks stands of matted fur and- oh- there was skin mixed in with it. The eyes on its face seemed to be in the right place, but they were far too large for that of a feline. They looked human, actually.
It took a step forward, it’s growl starting up again. Leria’s eyes traced over the blood coating it’s muzzle and the thick mane that covered its neck and back. Her first instinct was to run as fast as she could. How useless that would be. She recalled that slowly backing away usually worked for the dogs she’d handled at the pound. With shaky breathes and watery eyes, Leria let go of the tree and stood up on her own. She slouched over just a little bit and put her arms out on either side of her as she slowly started to back away from the creature.
Its head turned to one side- like it was just some tame dog trying to figure out what “sit” means. Leria was just starting to think she’d make it out of this encounter with her life. She could get away from this thing and go back to the station. Hope was rising in her and she dared to think she’d return to her temporary home tonight.
Then the beast opened its mouth.
The panther-lion-sabretooth-tiger-monster let its mouth hang wide open for a moment. Leria was just about to find it comical- like the thing was gasping at how good her boots looked or something of the sort. Then it screamed.
The animal screamed. Not in its own voice, though. It was the exact screams the man trying to rob her had made. This thing was playing them back like it was some tape recorder. Leria felt her legs give out as she too screamed at the top of her lungs.
