Grid Zine Fest in Salt Lake, UT
Hey! I’m going to be tabling at Grid Zine Fest this Saturday! I’m a part of the BYU Zine Club and we’ll be selling various zines we made this semester. On Friday, April 13th 7:00-9:00PM, at the Watchtower Cafe (1588 S. State St., SLC) there’s going to be zine readings and a discussion panel. I won’t be there but it sounds cool and some of my classmates will be on the panel. On Saturday, April 14th 11:00AM-5:00PM, at Publik Space (975 S. West Temple, SLC) is the zine festival. I will be at table 9B for several hours and my work will be available there all day. There will be two food trucks present during the day– Falafel Tree and Silvermoon Taqueria. There’s also a ton of other food places within walking distance of Publik Space. I’ll be selling two zines: Tanya - an 8 page zine about a girl looking for her pet. Caterwaul - a 16 page zine/comic about three brothers. This hard copy version of Caterwaul will be more cleaned up in its coloring. Still orange, but the boys will be colored and shaded and stuff. Sorry for the late notice. If you’re anywhere in the area it would be awesome to see you! Come get some inexpensive zines and read some comics! PS. Attendance is free. |

What a day to not be anywhere near UT. My family travels, but sadly we aren't in the area. Very sad.

Hey, everyone! Thank you so much for your patience. Sorry I went off the grid for a bit, but like Minty said, I always appreciate your guys' support. I had finals at the end of April. Then I traveled to California for a couple weeks and basically crammed as much stuff as I could into those weeks, so I wasn't home half the time. Got to visit some museums, tutor some high school art students, hang out with friends, play D&D, and go the Renaissance Faire. I'm now back in Utah and am working two jobs, so my schedule's still a little hectic. However, aside from general housekeeping, my weekends are free, so I'll finally be able to get back to working on the comic. I've paneled out the first few pages and will be sketching them in today. I also have various sketchbook stuff that I'll be posting to the Scrapbook thread in the coming week. |
