Wildpaw flicked his tail as he heard Dryrock's words. The expectation in his father's mew seemed to end up as a small pressure on his heart, but he trusted himself to bear it. I'll try my best to make my father and my Clan proud of me, he vowed to himself. He thought of Leafshred who became a warrior after saving two of her Clanmates. He hoped he could prove himself worthy, too.
He looked around and wondered where his mentor is. He secretly longed to train with Waterpaw, but it would be fine if Darkdusk had other plans for him too.
(Would anyone claim Darkdusk please? He is Wildpaw's mentor, and I don't know how Wildpaw could train without him xD
Also if anyone need a cat to rp with I have Leafshred free)

(well I mean if you have to for the time being, you could always just "have Wildpaw go ask Darkdusk" and have Darkdusk be like... yeah sure just tag along with Grayriver and Waterpaw. Also if you want we could maybe do something with Leafshred and Lichenpaw.)Waterpaw letting out a short purr as Dryrock cuffed his ear, swatting his paw away playfully. This was more like old times, he thought for a heartbeat... but as always, his moment of happiness didn't last. Times like these just always managed to remind him of the gaping hole left by Fernshadow's death. He quickly pushed away that thought, returning to his more... stoic state as Dryrock continued. "I'm sure we'll make you," and Fernshadow, "proud," he replied, giving a curt nod. "It really can't be too much longer until we earn our warrior names...." He let out a soft sigh, casting a glance towards Grousestar's den. "But before that, I guess I should find Grayriver so we can actually do some training. Or spying. Or... whatever."
(rip sorry it's so short)

(Oh okay. I'll have Wildpaw do that. And I like the idea of some plans for Lichenpaw and Leafshred! They must have felt weird not being warriors together, maybe we could start from there? Or do you have plans for them already?)
Impatient of having to wait for Darkdusk to pick him up, Wildpaw headed to the warrior den himself and asked for the approval to tag along with Waterpaw and Grayriver. He didn't really think Darkdusk would let him miss out this part of training. MorningClan cats are the major possible threat around, and learning to defend them would definitely be important. And he believed no cat would argue that the best way to win one's enemy is to know them as well as one can.
Just being curious...what does rip mean?)

(like R.I.P. Rested in pieces peace. I just use it as an expression like "I did something terrible/this is terrible rest in pieces oh well"
As for Lichenpaw and Leafshred, yeah, I bet they do XD what with her personality quirk, Lichenpaw is no doubt extremely envious and probably a bit bitter about it too lmao.)

(Oh I see xD thanks for answering that boring question, I was wondering if rip stands for something else that I don't know)
Leafshred found herself stopping in front of the apprentice's den. Both Wildpaw and Waterpaw were up already, and she'd spotted Fallowpaw grooming her pelt nearby. But Lichenpaw wasn't there. She wondered if her sister was still sleeping in her den, as she might have trained really hard the evening before to catchup behind Leafshred. Feeling perplexed about her sister's obvious enviness, Leafshred stopped herself from poking her head into the apprentice's den to check on her sister. She won't want to be treat like a kit, she thought to herself, though with a little bitterness. The pure act of care might have been interpreted as an overprotection or supervision in tensed times like this. I'd just wait here and say hi to her when she comes out, Leafshred decided. Then maybe we can have a little conversation and relieved the tension. She gave her pelt a hard shake, trying to get rid of the worriedness radiating off her, the worriedness that says maybe things might not work that well.

Then maybe we can have a little conversation and relieved the tension. She gave her pelt a hard shake, trying to get rid of the worriedness radiating off her, the worriedness that says maybe things might not work that well.Lichenpaw had risen well before dusk that day, while most of her Clanmates were still asleep, ready for whatever training Crowbristle may have for her that day. Since Leafshred had been made a warrior, Lichenpaw's resolve seemed like it had doubled: she would not let her sister show her up (at least not any more). She would earn her warrior name before the next full moon had passed, she was determined of it. When Crowbristle failed to awaken in what the apprentice felt like was a timely manner, she approached Stormhollow, who was organizing patrols as the sun fell, and asked what she could do. The deputy seemed somewhat reluctant to send her out without her mentor, but Lichenpaw insisted that Crowbristle wouldn't mind, and finally Stormhollow agreed to send her out with the dusk patrol.
The dusk patrol was, as always, long, cold, and boring. They checked out the MorningClan border, Bear Cave, Eaglenest Crag, and the edges of the valley. They remarked their markers, especially those close to camp, and came back. Lichenpaw was exhausted by the time they returned- her paws felt numb from walking so far and so long on cold stone, and she didn't think she had ever gone on a less eventful patrol. The stars were shining brightly above when the dusk patrol made its way back to camp, and when Lichenpaw didn't immediately spot Crowbristle in the camp, she made a beeline for the apprentices' den. It was only as she drew fairly close that she noticed Leafshred sitting outside.
The sight of her sister filled Lichenpaw with a confusing mixture of emotions: relief and pleasure, since it had been so long since they had really talked, but also anger, jealousy, and bitterness. Though she knew it wasn't Leafshred's fault for being in the right place at the right time, she couldn't help but feel sort of betrayed that Leafshred had become a warrior without her. Weren't her skills just as honed? Wasn't she just as brave and loyal and selfless? The only difference was that Leafshred had been given a chance to prove herself, while Lichenpaw had none. Shouldn't Grousestar, especially as their father, realize that? Or perhaps he just favors Leafshred too much.
The young tabby hesitated as she padded towards the den, for a brief moment considering going to find Crowbristle and avoid a conversation with her sister altogether. But the weariness in her paws, and the stubbornness brought on by absolute resentment, drove her forward after a heartbeat. "Leafshred," she greeted curtly, dipping her head as she neared her sister. "What brings you to the... here, today? Forget a nice feather or something?"

Nightpuddle awoke to the same near complete darkness that he did each night, yawned loudly and stretched his way out of his nest. His bones creaking under the stress he put on them, it felt good to move despite how stiff his limbs had begun to get each time he settled down to sleep. He should see if there was anything that Spidertuft could do for him. Though that would require venturing out of the den, since it seemed that not a single apprentice had come by yet. Though they may all be out training or hunting he felt his fur raise, "Young cats," he complained under his breath, snorting slightly. As if they were the cause of his ills.
He couldn't hear much these days, so he cocked his head to the side that he could hear best out of and listened for the movement of the clan. There weren't much stirrings yet, but that didn't necessarily mean anything. His hearing had begun to go just as fast as his eyesight. He hissed, and headed away from the warmth of the den and out into the clearing. Squinting, as if that would make his eyesight work better. He huffed, and licked down his chest fur. He couldn't reach anywhere else, and the fur on his hind quarters had begun to tangle up annoyingly.
--
Spidertuft woke earlier than she had intended, just as the last rays of sun were beginning to dip below the horizon. It was too early to leave camp and Tulippaw was likely to be sleeping still - she didn't feel as if she needed to wake her apprentice this early, not when most of the clan had yet to be roused yet either. She simply spent her time basking in the last slivers of sunlight, and once that had dipped low enough to seep the warmth out of the air she returned to the medicine cat den and began to sort and check over the herbs there. They were running low on Poppy Seeds, but that was no surprise. They were a multiple uses sort of herb and that meant they were often used in treatments. Which meant they needed to ensure they had plenty.
Perhaps once Tulippaw awoke the two of them could venture out to gather more.
--
Ivythistle shook her fur out as she headed from her den to the camp, her belly grumbled with hunger but she knew that it would be better to hunt for fresh-kill instead of settling down for breakfast. Her paws itched to move and she badly wanted to get out of camp and exercise her hunting skills. It had been a while since she had gone out. For a moment she paused, searching the camp with her eyes and trying to determine which cats were heading out for patrol and which ones would be up for going on a hunting trip.

The tone of her sister's addressing didn't seem welcoming, nor did it seem friendly. It sounded like she didn't really want me here, Leafshred thought to herself as she noticed the tension in her sister's question. However, she did not miss the familiar glint in the eye when her sister first spotted her, the look that indicated the flinting delight that did flash over for a heartbeat. Leafshred paused herself for a few moments before speaking, not allowing all the darkest emotions to take over and spill out on her sister in her words.
"I just want to check on my old den," she mewed carefully, taking up her sister's former false guess. It's the safest way to start the conversation, she thought to herself. Let her think I came for my own good. Not because of her. "Though not for a nice feather. I was wondering what the new den could be missing, for it didn't seem as comfortable like my old one....." Her voice trailed off. What am I talking about? Did I just indicate that the warrior's den isn't comfortable enough to rest in, while she have been trying so hard to make it into the den all along? She gave her pelt a hard shake, then said with a little effort, "Well, I decided I should take a look on how you arranged your den together, for you always keep your den....." she searched for the words, "so cozy," then she quickly added, "I believe I can learn from your skills more or less."

Lichenpaw twitched her whiskers, though not so much with amusement. Was Leafshred being legitimate, or was she patronizing? Lichenpaw doubted her sister was that impressed with her den-making skills, which really only left a few options as to why she was here. She must have wanted to talk. For a moment, Lichenpaw's attitude towards her sister softened; she hadn't moved on and forgotten about her yet after all. But this sentiment only lasted a few heartbeats- it wasn't enough to break through the bitterness that Lichenpaw had developed towards her father and her sister, the hurt she felt and being swept aside and left in the apprentices' den. Still, she showed little of this, keeping her expression and tone level as she replied to Leafshred.
"I see," she meowed after a heartbeat. "I dunno, I put some moss there, and I sleep in it, and then I leave," she added, flicking her tail. "If there's skill to that, that would be news to me. Maybe the problem just that the warriors' den is more crowded. You probably just need time to get used to it." It had taken time to get used to the apprentices' den after leaving the nursery, too, and for a time Lichenpaw was sure it would never be as comfortable as sleeping next to Ivythistle, a sentiment she knew that Leafshred had shared. Yet, the pride of finally being made into apprentices, beginning their training and the service to their Clan, far outweighed any uncertainty or discomfort, and soon the apprentices den felt as much like home to them as the nursery ever had. Was it not the same for being a warrior? Was the honor of sleeping alongside her more accomplished Clanmates not enough? Lichenpaw now found the apprentices' den smothering; she would do anything to be in Leafshred's place. And yet, the other she-cat sounded wistful for the apprentices' den.
