For the roleplay profiles, you can click here for an admin's walkthrough. If this was a more general question, though, I'm not sure what help anyone can be.
You just have to fill out the form of the RP (I'm working on this for one now, as I'm also new) and then, once accepted, write responses as your characters. Be careful about your literacy and post length - some peoples require much higher levels than others.
If you want to start off easy, try to find stuff that isn't "lit" or "literate". "Semi-lit" or "semi-literate" might also be worth avoiding until the future.
