I'm not kidding. It's pretty bad. Here's the scene this inspired if you're curious.
Storm couldn't help feeling that disturbing tremble in her fur again. She nudged her Beta. “Did you see that, Lucky?”
“What?” He glanced at her.
“Bruno. He looked so uneasy about being paired with Bella.”
Lucky hunched his shoulders. “I know what you’re going to say, Storm, but it’s nothing to worry about. Bruno and Bella will work perfectly well together.”
“Are you sure about that?” She could hear that her own bark was sharper and more challenging than it should be, but she couldn’t hold the question back.
“What?” He glanced at her.
