It's incredibly cliche, I realize. But it really only seems fitting to say goodbye to a place I love so much with a quote I love so much. Wow...so this is it. This is really happening. It's really ending. It feels a bit surreal to be typing that, to be making my last ever topic. I'm at peace with it though. Everything has its time and place in our lives and I'm thankful for how the forums came into my life.
The end of the forums comes as an interesting bookend to a chapter of my life. I joined this community on August 12th, 2010. And tomorrow, on August 12th, 2016 I will leave this community. This place has captured exactly six years of my life. In that period I've grown and changed so much as a person. I came here as a child who was obsessed with a series of books about a bunch of cats living in the woods. As a result, I found a place that has become a second home. I'll be forever grateful to this place for the writing I've gotten to do, for the friends I've made, and for the growth I've had the honor of making.
Although I'm incredibly sad to say goodbye, I'm glad we all get to go out together, as the community we are.
