SUMMARY
In an alternate [Warriors] universe, the Elder Evils of the Dark Forest - the first cats who were exiled into this ill place - have risen. The reason behind their return is unclear, but one thing is certain: the cats of the mortal world will pay dearly... but for what? For simply existing with something that the Elder Evils lost long ago - a soul?
Almost every cat has had its soul stripped away from them, turning them into disturbed, foul creatures called Husks. Husks are cats who have no soul, and have lost their sanity, but still walk in physical forms... but not in mortal ones. In the latter stages of the "transformation", the cat's eyes become solid a ghostly green color, and their bodies begin to rot... and still they hunt, mindlessly scouring the landscape for any living creature, for they believe that feasting on the corpses and the spirits of other animals may yet restore the soul that was ripped away from them.
If a normal, healthy cat encounters a Husk, they can expect one of two things. If the Husk is hungry enough, it will devour you. However, if it is full, it will bite you on the back of the neck and "inject you" with some of its life essence into your own. Eventually, this newly acquired, foreign life essence will begin to corrupt the cat, turning them mad.
But the Husks... are not the only threats. The biggest danger to the remaining cats (who are alive and have souls) are not the Husks, nor dangerous mortal cats, but the Elder Evils themselves. Hundreds of them exist, and are capable of returning to the mortal world in physical form (but only during the daytime, oddly enough), and their desire is to corrupt ever last remaining survivor of this... apocalypse. A cat may meet another and the two become mates, only for one of them to reveal to the other that they are an Elder Evil (they might not even do this at all), but by then, it is too late. They have cursed their "mate" long enough that they (their "mate") only listens to them, and only does their bidding.
To trust another cat would be foolish. There are no good cats left... not really. Betrayal has become a staple of their existence. Each cat is divided, but nonetheless, many small but powerful groups have formed. In order to survive, you must either remain undetected for your entire life, or you must join one of these groups, and betray them when another group presents a significant enough of a threat to you... Or when you just feel like it, really. No cat takes betrayal personally anymore - it's the norm. And those that do take it to heart... They won't last long.

Welcome to OUR RP! In this RP, you create your character(s) - rogue, former kittypet, loner, barn cat, former Clan cat, or former Tribe cat... maybe even an Elder Evil - and you, well, jump straight into it.

Unfortunately, I have no means of drawing a map of the territory... If anyone could possibly do this for me/us, please PM! I will supply you with the details
RULES
- The standard WCRP rules
- No more than 3 characters per person
- If you want your character to have a mate (something that is almost an oddity in this RP), someone else will have to RP as your mate
- No godmodding, kit stealing, etc.
- No Mary or Gary Sues! Perfect characters are nothing short of boring and unrealistic. Each character must have at least 2 flaws, even if they are small ones
- Speaking of realism, none of your character(s) should have wings, odd pelt colors, etc. Each cat must be realistic looking!
- LGBTQ characters are completely supported in this RP. If you are uncomfortable with this, please move on.
- At least fairly good grammar and spelling are required. In addition, no one-liners! Each post must contain at least 2 large paragraphs worth of content
- Being active isn't much of a requirement, unless your character has a mate or is somehow vital to the story (still working in that last part). However, if you do not send in a post at least once a week, then you will be warned. If you do not reply, then your character will NOT be removed - rather, the RP will continue along as normal
- Please keep this RP pg-13! No kitting, nursing (a mother giving her kit(s) milk), fighting, etc. that goes beyond what the books describe
- Have fun!
