Congratualtions on second place, Shadow! Getting your name out there is such good publicity! Making the top three on your first attempt is a stupendous achievement! You should be so proud of yourself!
What I love most is how ambiguous this snippet is. The line about all the eyes blinking simultaniosuly leaves me wondering if this is some many-headed entity, or many something's sharing a single mind, or perhaps something else entirely...
The last line terrified me, because the first time I read it I had a visceral image of her mouth splitting open far wider than possible, with her skin pulling away until just teeth and bone remain.
Just a little... unsettling.
Very fitting for a horror competition, I think.
