Alto laughed at the other demigod's comment, eyes following her until they were the one sitting and she was the one standing. She tipped back her water bottle again before shrugging and lurching to her feet, wiping at the corner of her mouth as the chuckles died down.
"Doesn't matter to me," they hummed, placing the bottle in a holder on their bag and running a hand through their hair. A little snort bubbled out of them before they waved to the kids and turned with their back to them, looking somewhere between bored and amused at the situation. "Good drinks deserve to be shared."
Maybe it was because they didn't interact much with anyone anymore? It wasn't like she was around kids daily now, really, and her attitude towards alcohol had been the same even when she was too young to drink it. Not like anyone cared about a glass or two of wine or a bit of any other alcohol. Could it be her parents? Nah. They were too cheerful for that. With a small internal shrug she grinned at Ymir and nodded.
"Cool," they chirped. Some kind of movement kept them going, even now- rocking back and forth on their feet, fingers drumming against the strap of their bag, a smile before she spun around and navigated her way to be in front of Ymir.
"Straight there, or on a little tour? I'd love to come along either way. We're here for the same thing, I bet."
Maybe it was a call to just talk? She hoped it wasn't some kind of annoying quest. She had been taken on enough of those for one life, thank-you-very-much.
She started to walk a bit backwards, eyes still on Ymir. "So, Miss Metal and Fire?"

Maybe it was a call to just talk? She hoped it wasn't some kind of annoying quest. She had been taken on enough of those for one life, thank-you-very-much.
She started to walk a bit backwards, eyes still on Ymir. "So, Miss Metal and Fire?" For a moment, Ymir considered arguing against the other - but decided that it would be like arguing with a stone wall. She shook her head a little and watched Alto with a blank expression. "Little tour. Chiron can wait."
Though she knew that, if it was important enough, he'd come searching for both of them. Either way, she preferred to walk along idly, without much thought for the world around her. The younger kids were moving to the side to make way for the duo of adult demigods, as if they were faced with the gods themselves. It was an amusing thought, but not one that she lingered on for too long.
"Yes," she angled her head to the side slightly. "Metal and fire. You're magic. Look at that," she shove her hands deep into her pockets and raised an eyebrow. "I haven't used my abilities much outside of this camp. You get all prepared for using all of your abilities, but you hit adulthood and leave and," she shook her head, made a vague gesture. "Nope."
Perhaps if she were a mechanic, she'd use her abilities more. As it were, she very rarely needed to use fire and she didn't really need to detect metal. It was disappointing, but not surprising.
[ weh, im sorry you waited so long for a lackluster response orrz ]

r i p since the concept around pmd was human turnd into pokemon, what would it be for gijinka pmd? it wouldnt make sense for a human to just become a human with pokemon-esque features & some abilities

hmm but i mean in the general pmd world thats one person out of the whole thing that would only be an issue if whatever goes on in the gijinka pmd thing needs a human turned whatever
like the plot of pmd was human turned pokemon but it wasnt rly all there was to it?? idk im tired

it was a huge part of the basis! i haven't completed spmd yet so i'm not sure how that goes, and i never touched gti because it sucked; but in the first two, the human portion of the human-turned pokemon was touched on quite a lot and became a main plot point (especially in the first games, considering ninetales' curse later meant that things went Real Bad Real Quick)
but hmm, a gijinka-based thing. guilds could be a thing, naturally; though i feel like way more training would have to go into gijinkas, since there's no way they'd be like pokemon and constantly use moves because i've always felt like that would wear them down so they'd have to adjust it into a fighting style? but that's just me + dungeon explorers are cool so that's a thing. less enemy pokemon/gijinkas, and maybe the potential for more treasure-hunters vs traps. or, maybe the guilds are split into two different kinds. treasure hunters + explorers being one guild, and outlaws/a vague sort of police force for another. also re: legendaries? would those remain normal pokemon or would they, too, become gijinkas? interesting thoughts here. i like the concept a lot tho d: that's why i keep poking at questions l u l

mm true i just mean in like a world kind of sense? bc the whole human plot only affected a small area if u take out the parts where theres a Big Bad Event u gotta save the world from i played all of em but spmd, gti was trash, but i mean that in an rp, i feel like it would be better to focus on other stuff
yeah, i was thinking that guilds and stuff were the ppl that actually bothered to train up & stuff? & there'd prob be guilds spread all across the place and mostly explore and treasure hunt and help out the area when needed yeah!! & maybe monsters that are similar to pokemon but. not resembling anything theyd recognize as similar to themselves oo i like that idea
maybe legendaries are seen as deities? i was meh abt most legendaries in pmd games & just as an rp, worldbuilding thing id prefer if they were seen as gods & such maybe theyre shown as having two forms? one as their pokemon + one as a gijinka form on the rare occasion that they do touch down upon the world i like the idea of ppl following one legend or another haha
