The young queen only rolled her eyes at the last comment, snorting quietly. "Not the word I'd have used," was her firm response. She had spent her whole life bullied because of her missing leg, and knew it would never be regarded in a positive light except for a select number of cats. She flinched again as pain lit her sides as she stood but she ignored it. "Lets get back to camp," she said twitching her ears back and forth. "They'll get suspicious if we're much longer.
(should someone have overheard them and let the camp know?) "Yeah you're right." Bonefang nodded in agreement, he was sad that they had to put on the act again once they got close to camp. But it wouldn't be forever, soon they'd be away from them and have their own little family. Bonefang stood up and began walking in front of Morningflight, calming himself and putting on his expressionless face. "I'm going to have kits!" he couldn't help but smile a bit at the thought of it.

(Imaginary character would be fine for now, make it sort of anonymous. Maybe they won't know who told for a while, and then maybe one of your other character's could've been the one who heard and told?)

The queen hesitated, allowing him to put a bit of distance between himself and the queen before she too followed. Her tail flicking from side to side, she pushed past the pain as though it was nothing. Taking it only to be the movement of the kits within her, and nothing else to concern herself with. She was used to hunger pangs, and this for the time being wasn't much worse then that.

(ok!)
Singedthunder returned to camp, his tail flicking from side to side. Clearly uncertain as to what to do, as his morals were rumbling inside him until it was impossible to think straight. He was a generally relatively neutral cat, happy to let others get about with their business if they let him get about his without too many concerns. But this wasn't something he could let slide, it went directly against the will of starclan in his opinion. But he still pitied the two cats.
At last he seemed to decide, and approached the leader with apparent caution. "Eaglestar, there is something I feel I must tell you."

Hailrush felt the second wind of her apprentice rush past her a split second after she saw the calico blur zoom straight off into the forest. She snorted lightly and called after her, "Go to the training field! Don't wear yourself out, mousebrain!" Russetpaw's bob tail slowly began to become lost between the trunks of trees as she sprinted off and the silver tabby felt amused at her antics; an excited apprentice trying to beat her mentor in a race was not an uncommon event. Hailrush herself began to run through the territory, leaping and bounding over dips in the ground and fallen tree trunks. While not fully sprinting quite yet, she kept a very quick pace, hoping to catch up with the smaller apprentice.
There was one thing for sure, even in competition with an apprentice, there was no way in this world that she was going to lose a race. The silver tabby smirked, keeping her rhythmic footfalls in check, catching brief glimpses of the calico she-cat through the trees, much closer than before.

When they reached the camp, Bonefang headed inside first. When he entered camp something felt off, like eyes were on him the second he walked in. He shrugged it off thinking it was just his imagination. He flicked his tail and acted like nothing was different.

Morningflight hesitated, allowing him to be in the camp for a few minutes before she too entered the camp. Sucking her stomach back in as far as she could, again a flinch of pain almost flattened her to the ground but she held it together. Beginning to panic slightly that it might be something to worry about, but for now she couldn't concentrate on that. She realised very quickly, that everyone seemed to be looking at her with unforgiving eyes. She shifted from one paw to the other, looking around with as calm as an expression as she could muster.

At last he seemed to decide, and approached the leader with apparent caution. "Eaglestar, there is something I feel I must tell you." Ealgestar looked and narrowed his eyes, "What is it?" he looked straight at Singedthunder. Had something happened, he hadn't sent this tom on any patrols today so perhaps something happened in camp? His tail twitched irritably, though he was actually very curious whatever latest gossip was going around.

The young tom looked up at his leader with a heavy sigh, and settled down before him and quickly explained what he had overheard. The fact that the deformed elder was in fact a heavily expectant queen, and that the father was a tom within the clan.

Eaglestar was silent for a moment, he gritted his teeth a bit. "Are you certain?" his voice was rough and a low growl rumbled in his throat. His fur was bristled, and his tail was lashing around behind him. To say Eaglestar was mad, was an understatement.

He nodded firmly, a frown etched into his facial features as though it was a permenant fixture. "I wouldn't have come to tell you this until I was absolutely certain. The traitor even smelled like milk." Singedthunder answered with certainty. "I don't know how anyone failed to notice, but its the truth." He said lowering his head, part of him angry with himself for telling on a clanmate, but he was torn with knowing it was the right thing to do.
Morningflight, unaware of the conversation between her leader and the elder warrior slipped past them with the intentions of entering the elders den to check on the other elders and see if they needed anything. She held herself together to try and hide any proof of the litter she carried. Oblivious to the fact that her secret had been told, and there was no longer any hiding the truth from her clanmates.

"I'll call a meeting very soon," Eaglestar said walking slightly passed Singedthunder until his head was besides the other tom's, "Until then, make sure they don't leave camp. I'm sure other cats already know as well, gossip spreads like wild fire here." With that Eaglestar went and prepared for the meeting. He climbed up half way onto the Ancient Birch, sitting on a branch and mentally preparing what to say and what to do with these traitors.
Bonefang saw Eaglestar going up the old birch tree, something wasn't right and it wasn't his imagination. His heartbeat started to quicken, he glanced at the camp entrance and noticed three cats blocking it. "Fox-dung!" he cursed.

Morningflight growled when a handful of clanmates approached her with clearly less than kind intentions, they flanked her and forced her towards the ancient birch, biting at her when she attempted to free herself from their grip. She sat before the great tree, wincing again as pain filled her to the point where she could barely hold herself together. A whimper echoing from her throat as she looked around, desperate for a way out.

She loved the feeling of the wind on her fur, she felt like she was flying through the territory. She noticed Hailrush already close by, she couldn't believe the other she-cat had already caught up. She wasn't going to give up, she kept running. Even if she lost she was still going to try follow close behind!

Though he noticed Rosethorn's tense energy had gone quite some time ago , he wasn't aware of where exactly she had gone off to without telling anyone . He was used to not bothering to tell Eaglestar that she'd been off on her own ; there wasn't any point . Though she looked the type , Rosethorn never did anything shady . She cared deeply for her clan , and any thoughts akin to her sneaking out and causing trouble where abhorrent .
As he swiveled his ears , he was surprised to see his sister striding into camp looking more composed , and walking straight past him nonetheless . He raised an eyebrow before padding after her , his tail high and a curious look in his eyes .
" I've been thinking , Barkpelt , " She began , knowing he was mere pawsteps behind her , " I don't need to be deputy ! Sure , I was a bit sad that I didn't get the position - " Irritated was the word Barkpelt would've used , " - but I think it's just that I need something better to fill my time ! Which is precisely why I'm going to ask Eaglestar if he'd consider letting me have another apprentice . "
Barkpelt nearly stopped in his tracks . While it was true that she was a rather remarkable mentor and had trained at least two apprentices already , he was surprised to hear her say that . The last time she'd had an apprentice , she just wanted it to be over with . Maybe since then she'd come around ? He found the thought unlikely , but ...
" Do you think he'll say yes ? "
" Well , only one way to find out , hmm ? "
Barkpelt was confused to see their leader looking even more irritable than this morning as he hurried across the camp . " You uh , you might want to wait on that one , I think something's wrong - "

Cats gathered around Bonefang as well, shoving and forcing him to the the Ancient Birch. He hissed, kicking at any of them that tried to bite him. He looked up at saw Eaglestar above them, not to mention most of the clan surrounding them.
Eaglestar grinned, "I would like to call for a clan meeting, this one involving loyalty! Not only loyalty to the clan but to the rules the Starclan has set for us." he made sure the terms loyalty and Starclan stood out. "Now, before us we have two cats, a deformed reject of an elder and who I though was a trusted warrior. It has come to my attention that not only are they in a unlawful relationship, but they disgrace this clan and themselves by expecting kits!" he hissed loudly and growled at Morningflight.

Pinning her ears flat to her head, she lashed out as best as she could at those who surrounded her but found it impossible due to her smaller size in comparison. Her eyes widened when she realised that they had been found out, and began desperately to plea with the leader, not for her own life but for that of the warrior beside her.
Forcing her tone of voice to sound convincing, she insisted as loudly as she could. "I don't know what you mean, the father isn't in the clan!" She insisted, hoping to at least save her mate if not herself.

As Barkpelt listened to his leader's words , he was stunned . Though he didn't agree with the rule . it was rare that anything ever came of it . The fear that rippled through his pelt made his fur stand on end . Surely someone would do something ! He swallowed hard . Had the she cat not said anything , he almost would've spoken out in place of the tom . He dug his claws into the ground anxiously . If he did do that , he'd likely be exiled in his place . What good would come of that ? He watched Rosethorn watched with almost concern in her widened eyes . Despite having a survival - of - the - fittest attitude , she didn't quite believe in the rule either . The two exchanged a glance . Would anyone speak up ?

Bonefang looked at Morningflight in bewilderment, he open his mouth to speak but Eaglestar cut him off.
"Don't think you petty lies can full me, it seems you two were caught getting very close not to long ago. But you bring up an excellent point, if a she-cat like you isn't going to listen to rules about not have a mate or kits then I suppose it wouldn't be a surprise to find out maybe you have multiple mates." He stopped when he heard Bonefang let out a furious hiss. "Oh Bonefang, you've been suck a good warrior. You can still be saved you know, denounce this she-cat and chase her out like the traitor rat she is and maybe Starclan will forgive you!" He yowled glaring at the accused tom.
Bonefang snarled, "Not happening," he looked around at his fellow clanmates, "Some of you must see this is wrong! To kick out two cats, one of which an expecting queen, just because Eaglestar and a bunch of old dead cat's say so!" he mewed loudly, hoping someone would side with them.
"Oh yes, would anyone else like to stick up for them? Please feel free to speak..." Eaglestar growled looking at the crowd of cats. His claws flexing into the branch below him. "Who wants to join them out in the wilderness this upcoming Leafbare?" he asked with a smug grin on his face.

" She's telling the truth ! " Rosethorn yelped suddenly .
Barkpelt nearly keeled over , his heart catching in his chest as he whipped around to face her . " What are you doing ?! " He hissed .
" I saw it with my own eyes , " She stood up , not a shred of fear in her eyes as she looked to the expecting she cat . " I saw her outside of the clan with a rouge , some cat not of this clan . At the time I thought I was seeing things , but it makes sense now . " There was an indignent look in her eyes as she turned to her leader , a disapproving look on her face not at him , but at her , as if she was fully in agreement of the rules of the clan and was merely displaying the facts .
" There's no way he could be the father , surely we would've figured it out by now ? Or are you saying we're lacking in observation skills as a clan ? " She was careful with her tone , making it clear that she was not launching an attack on Eaglestar . She had to make this work . " You're no fool , Eaglestar . Surely you can piece this together logically ? "
Despite being floored by his sister , Barkpelt looked to the to - be mother , a look in his eyes that urged her to play along for the sake of a lesser punishment , if they could manage it .

Morningflight looked to her mate pleadingly, she forced her way forward with a meow more pathetic than a kit could have mustered. "I will leave by myself, there is no need for any of this. Just please don't hurt him," she pleaded. Holding herself as tall as she could in spite of the pain which was all but crippling her in that moment. The queen looked to Rosethorn, shivering from head to toe but gratefulness shone in her dark blue gaze. "Why exile a cat who has done nothing, you admit it yourself he is a good warrior! Why in the name of starclan would he break the rules with a reject like myself?"

Bonefang watched in disbelief, they were suppose to go through this together! He didn't understand, all he felt was anger. His head lower and he gazed down at the ground
"Watch your tongue, Rosethorn." Eaglestar warned, he looked at at Morningflight and then to Bonefang. "Well Bonefang, do you think you're the father or not?" he raised and 'eyebrow' as he questioned the tom.
Bonefang looked up, his brown eyes darkened making them seem almost black. He stared at Morningflight, hurt evident in his eyes. He turned his head up to Eaglestar and mewed, "Why would I want a reject like her." his voice cracked a bit, but his face and voice held no more emotions.
Eaglestar sighed, "Very well then, I'm glad we could work this out." he gave a sly grin. "Oh and as for you," he looked at Morningflight, "Get out of the clan and this territory, you and your reject kit are not wanted here." He looked at his clanmates, "Someone get her out of here, NOW!" he yelled before bounding off the branch.
Bonefang sat there motionless, his head turned up at the sky. His eyes searching aimlessly.

Her heart shattered into a million pieces, but she knew that it was for the best even if it tore her appart to see how hurt he was by her words. I cant let him suffer through leafbare all because of me, she told herself, trying to convince herself that she had done the right thing. She lowered her head and pinned her ears back until they were almost perfectly flat to her head. "I will go without a fight," she answered quietly lifting herself to her paws she stepped towards the camp exit.
When pain struck through her to the point where she collapsed with a sudden cry of pain. Eyes lighting with astonishment she let out a wail to the skies as a contraction struck her stomach. Panting, Morningflight struggled to force herself back to her paws. Not intending to give birth here if that was indeed what was happening, but she could barely keep herself upright.

" I'll see her out , " She nudged her , though scuffed her paw to make it sound as though she'd urged her harder than she really did , " Get a move on ! " Once they were towards the exit , she spoke in a soft tone " Don't thank me yet , keep your head down , and just keep moving . You're going to be okay , I promise . "
When they had put a bit of distance between them and the camp , she nudged her former clanmate gently . " If anything happens to you , I will make sure your kits are safe , I promise . " Though she didn't know if she could uphold that promise , she wasn't going to let her worry . She lost her mother , and she didn't want these kits to lose theirs whether or not she wanted to admit it .
Barkpelt hurried to Bonefang's side as quickly as he could without it being too obvious . He had to assure him things would work out .

"Morningflight?!" Bonefang snapped out of it when he heard her scream and struggle to stand, he turned his head toward Eaglestar "You can't make her leave now she and the kits won't make it!" he hissed.
Eaglestar rolled his eyes, "Wouldn't be a problem if she had followed the rules in the first place, hopefully Starclan will be merciful to her and those kits." he said with much of a care, he turned his gaze away from the she-cat and started walking away.

The little shecat tried to force herself onwards, but the pain only ripped through her and it quickly became apparent that she was in no position to walk. She shrank back against the camp floor, desperately trying to pull herself to her paws but to no avail. She winced inwards, as she struggled to take a step forward. An agonizingly slow pace and a pitiful one.
