So, I accidentally missed the first three days of it because of work ( >.> ) and now I'm having to type double time to catch up. Coffee and energy drinks have become my best friend as I decidedly stopped caring if my boss minds me bringing my computer to work. I generally work weekends anyway. Literally no one here to see me except maintenance, and they're all my bros, so they're cool with it.
It's weird, with the coffee and stuff, because I'm up all night anyway because of my job. But (shocker) something about writing for a shift is more exhausting than watching meme videos about RWBY.
Exhaustion aside, I regret nothing.
How's it going for everyone else participating?

I wish you good luck! And the same to everyone else who's participating. I'll admit I made an effort this year, but it was quickly scrapped because I realized I wouldn't have enough time to finish it.

Thank you for the well wishes!
I probably don't have time, but I'm fighting the clock with everything I've got lol. I figured that, hey, even if I didn't reach my target, that's still more words than I'd normally be motivated to type. I still have something in the end, even if I don't "win", which is still a win.

I have never done this, but putting out a novel is 30 days. . .my quality would suffer LOL

Eh, I tend to write off the fly, anyway, so I figured I could write whatever raw piece I wanted. Then I could go back later and edit.

I suppose I could if I really put all out effort into it, but I have to get my own work done which includes an epic novel that would never ever be done in 30 days!

I'm using WriMo this year to write the sequel to Trials, tbh. Kill two birds with one stone and all. That way, I can update Trials, and immediately when it's done, I can edit and start posting the new story, tentatively alled Night of No Stars at the moment.
I just love writing about this sweet Ragdoll boy more than I probably should.

Oh my goodness, that is rough. I BELIEVE IN YOU!
I am currently sick so that's fun. I fell behind but I feel that I can catch up if I keep up the pace. It's a bit difficult writing this novel just because of how complex the world is.

I feel your pain, » ѕнαdσω ⚔️ . I'm waiting until next November to give WriMo a shot with my original novel, featuring a wizard that was turned into a kiwi bird, there's just still so much lore to be planned, and it's not ready for this November. Thankfully, Warriors canon-lore isn't very difficult (when the Erins remember it), so it's kind of a less ambitious shot for my very first NaNoWriMo. Granted, while I know how Trials ends, there's still some minor details that need to be hammered out, which are occasionally irritatingly difficult, lol.

I've already missed several days due to school and other events. :') I plan to work double time over the weekends and today. I may work on getting at least 15k words per day per week, since that should let me hit 50k by the end of November.
I'm a panster, so this draft is going to be horrendous when it's done. Editing is going to be fun.

A FELLOW PANTSER!!
Yikes, that sounds rough. I took last night off to update my current fic, but my current plan is to double up with some extra words every day to make up for what I missed.
And hey, if I don't make it, there's always next year, right?

Whoo hoo!
That sounds like a good plan. ^^ I was told by someone else that they used the last week to write by getting in I think 10k words a day? It's crazy.
Failure is not an option! But yeah, there is. Plus, I could write it on my own time if I don't get it done for November.

Writing 10k a day sounds incredibly hard. O.o
Right, it's not like there's a penalty for not making it on time, and at least we tried.
Next year though, WCF should prepare for fantasy, sarcasm, and a powerful god-mage that has been turned into an adorable flightless bird.
He is not happy about this turn of events.

It does. I can't imagine doing that, unless I have some ridiculous amount of time on my hands and the muse to do so.
Truth. ^^ Plus, there's always Camp NaNo, I think it's called? It takes place in April and June(?). I may participate in that for a set of short stories I would love to write.
I can't wait to see it, haha! That sounds awesome.

I only just joined. It is literally the first time I had heard of this. That's sad, because as a writer I should have known about this earlier. Anyway I mostly joined to try and get motivation to finally write my novel. I have been planning this novel for over a year. I already have all my characters, chapter plans and the first chapter written. Now I just need to get stuck into the novel at last.
