After a long, much needed nap, Alderberry’s amber eyes flickered open as her gaze immediately darted to her flank where she expected her kits to be sleeping peacefully. Though the fact her flank felt cold and empty, she knew three kittens were missing which wasn’t a positive sign for the queen. Feeling her eyes widen, she pulled herself upright before springing to her paws and checking the nursery out of desperation.
They were no where to be found. Where could have they gone?
She knew her kits were adventurous balls of fur, but the fact they disappeared in her sleep made her feel guilty. Maybe she should have waited to nap and had Rowanstorm keep an eye on them. Her late idea hadn’t been put into place and her mind wandered back to the fact of her kits missing. They couldn’t have gone far without someone noticing, right?
Hurrying out of the den, Alderberry’s paws sped across the sand smoothly despite her heart beating deafeningly in her tall ears. The feline’s eyes were set on the warrior’s den to find her mate until her small, delicate paws slipped underneath her and sent the dilute calico into the mud-filled clearing. Mud splashed across her dark muzzle and splattered her well-groomed pelt in seconds, leaving her covered in the disgusting muck. A scowl formed across the she-cat’s maw bitterly. She hadn’t even noticed how close her offspring were until she looked up, letting out an exasperated sigh.
”TOADKIT!” the queen screeched, amber eyes flaring. ”SWEETKIT! LILYKIT!”
There would be a scold waiting for them and Alderberry was sure they knew it.

robinfall is a brown-red tom with brown eyes.
Silverstorm is a black she-cat with silver spots (so a unique calico) with green eyes.
Crowspot is a black and white, skinny sleek tom with green eyes.
Snowleaf is a cream-white cat with flame point markings and blue eyes.
Pinetail is a brown-red tom with amber eyes.
Larkpool a pale brown w/ darker tabby stripes shecat w/ blue or orange eyes.
family trees --
Robinfall, Pinetail and Larkpool are siblings. Kits of Iceheart and Stonetail.
Crowspot and Silverstorm are siblings and the second litter of Blossomheart and Cedarchirp.
Snowleaf is going to be a sibling of Shellstripe. Their parents are unknown.
SHellstripe, Conchwing and Snowleaf are going to be siblings.

Toadkit froze when he heard Alderberry's tone. He knew that tone very well, regrettably. That was the signal for 'you're in big trouble'.
Of course, he tried to play it off. Trouble? Him? Never. That was a terrible accusation. After all, they were only just going outside to play, was that really so bad?
"Yes, mama?" The only thing in Toadkit's winning expression was innocence. Maybe, just maybe the three of them could get through this without too bad of a scolding?
Yeah, don't count on that, buddy boy. Mama looked angry. It'd probably help if you weren't covered from ears to toes in mud.

"A sign of what?" Blossomheart asked, and her teasing paused for a heartbeat. While Cedarchirp couldn't see it, he could probably hear the note of curiosity in his mate's voice. What could aches and pains be a sign for? Also, why would StarClan send such a vague omen to two elders? There was a rustle coming from the nest of the elderly queen, and a grunt of pain could be heard from her as she adjusted to a more comfortable position. Then, the teasing tone reentered her voice. "Maybe they're telling us we're getting an early leaf-bare this year?"
