don't mind me.
Maverick //
Author: Welcome, Mr. Walker. How are you?
Maverick: Thank you. I am doing alright, but, y'know. Life. And it's Maverick, please.
Author: Well, alright. Thanks for meeting me here today. Hope you don't mind, but I'll be recording this conversation.
Maverick: Fine. What are we discussing?
Author: Just your life. Things about you.
M: Sounds good.
A: Well, let's begin, then. Where did you grow up?
M: East Chicago, Indiana. Not the best place to live.
A: Wow. I've heard bad stories about that place.
M: Yeah. Not many happy memories. We did move to Zionsville when Bexley was born. That was a lot better.
A: Your sister, I assume?
M: Fourth sister.
A: Oh, my.
M: Yeah. My parents were busy.
A: Well, then. To purposely change the subject, what kind of education did you have?
M: Average. I wasn't advanced, but I wasn't behind. Nothing special.
A: Alrighty. Well, what about your sisters? What are their ages?
M: Bexley is the youngest at 15 right now. I'm the oldest at 25.
A: Wow. A nice range, huh?
M: Yeah. The middle sisters have their birthdays all in October, though. It makes it a pain in the butt when getting gifts.
A: Oh, boy. My family has their birthdays spread out all over the year. Speaking of birthdays, when is yours?
M: January 17th.
A: Ah, so it'll be coming up in a few months?
M: Still awhile away, but yeah.
A: Well, happy early birthday.
M: Thank you...?
A: No problem. So, let's talk about the ladies.
M: Ladies are good.
A: Do you have a significant other right now?
M: Nope.
A: Are you planning on seeing anyone?
M: Nope.
A: Oh. Are you sure?
M: Positive.
A: Alright, fine. Ever had a one night stand?
M: Honey, I'm still a virgin.
A: Alright, I'll stop. What are some of your favorite things?
M: Baby blue, Coke Zero, pepperoni and ham pizza, and Wonder Woman.
A: A bit of a geek, eh?
M: Actually, no. I just really like Wonder Woman.
A: Alright, fair enough. Pet names you have used for former partners?
M: I had a girlfriend that I called Bubble Buddy. She loved it.
A: Why Bubble Buddy?
M: She said it was her favorite Spongebob episode.
A: Makes sense. Any other dates?
M: She's the first and last person I dated.
A: Oh. You aren't interested in relationships, are you?
M: What makes you say that?
A: [chuckles] Yeah. Well, I think that's enough for this session. Will we be seeing you tomorrow?
M: We?
A: Have you not noticed the guy recording us?
// Gary gives a thumbs up from the sound booth.
M: Oh. I didn't notice him.
A: Yeah, that's Gary. Cool dude. So like I said, will we see you tomorrow?
M: I don't see why not. Sounds good.
A: Awesome. Thank you for your time!
M: No problem.
End //
And that, my friends, is called discovering Maverick. He's a pretty cool dude.
Tune in Thursday for more Maverick, because my Wednesday is crazy.
