Kindlepaw poked him. "Hah hah, I got a bird and you didn't!" she teased playfully. She turned-and tripped over Shrikepaw in the bushes.
Shrikepaw quickly got up and licked a paw, putting on a bored face. "Stupid clumsy Kindlepaw," he growled, not helping her up. "I was just walking by. And look, you made friends." he narrowed his eyes, lowered his head, unsheathed his claws and hissed.

Berrypaw made a face, clearly not happy that he had missed. "Ha. Ha." he meowed sarcastically back at Kindlepaw. He frowned upon seeing Shrikepaw, helping Kindlepaw up because he could see that Shrikepaw clearly wasn't going to.
Littlepaw delicately leapt down from the tree, squirrel still dangling from her mouth before she saw the other tom. Littlepaw stiffened, dropping her catch at her paws. "Who are you?" she growled, seeing him unsheathe his claws as he hissed.

"Im Littlepaw of MoonClan and I say you're a Cleanpaw," Littlepaw spat, her claws unsheathed as well. "Big dumb old SunClan apprentice can't have a little fun?" She mocked him as she lashed her tail angrily.

"I'd love to see you try," Littlepaw sneered, baring her teeth at him. For being so outgoing and happy before to how she was now with Shrikepaw was a night and day difference. Her claws clawed the soft earth beneath her as she spat at him.

Kindlepaw shoved between the two snapping apprentaces. "Shush, please, you guys, just..." she sighed. "Littlepaw, go back behind your border, and Shrikepaw, we were just having fun." SHe glared at him. "Or you know what? That war you were argueing with me about just might happen."

"If he comes even within two foxlengths of me, he'll never snap at me again," Littlepaw threatened, but the growl had faded from her voice after Kindlepaw got between them. She reluctantly backed up behind the border, leaving the squirrel. "You can have it," she told them.

"I'm really sorry, Littlepaw," Kindlepaw apoligized. "But I'm afraid Shrikepaw doesn't know how to." She dipped her head. "We'll go." Then she whispered to Littlepaw so no one would notice, "Do you want to meet some other time?"

Littlepaw glared at Shrikepaw until Kindlepaw started talking to her again. She was caught off guard by the question, thinking that she would never want to meet again after what happened with Shrikepaw. She nodded happily to her new.. she supposed, friend. "Tomorrow night a little while before moonrise?" She offered.
Berrypaw picked up the squirrel Littlepaw had left and turned to head back to camp.

"Ooo, yes!" Kindlepaw nearly squealed. She was delighted that the little MoonClan apprentice was as interested in her as she was in Littlepaw. Shrikepaw had already turned to go, pushing Berrypaw roughly. "Let's go, Kindlepaw!" he called, exasperated. "Don't tell me you want a new friend." Kindlepaw caught up with him quickly. "Race you home!" she yelled, sprinting off to camp. Shrikepaw flattened his ears in surprise, then darted after her.

Berrypaw growled through the fur of the squirrel in his mouth when Shrikepaw pushed him, resisting the urge to claw him for it. He watched the two race off, not really wanting to join in on the run, as he followed behind them on the way back.
Littlepaw smiled as she watched them go. She hoped Shrikepaw wouldn't follow next time as she turned away, bounding off back to camp.
