SunClan and MoonClan Border Page

Poppysplash called out to her mate, her blue eyes desperate and searching. She couldn’t step over to Sunclan’s land. Not under the current circumstances. “Pineshadow!” She called. “Where are you?”

Poppysplash jerked back, her eyes wild and afraid. “Don’t go over the border,” she begged Pineshadow. “You’ll only make things worse. Her eyes shifted nervously from tree to tree. “I suppose it’s a good thing I’m not pregnant,” She meowed quietly. “I wouldn’t want to bring up kits in this..environment.” Her voice broke and tears brought wet streaks down the sides of her cheeks. “This was all a big mistake. I..I should have never done this with you.”

Poppysplash stiffened, anger and hurt welling up in her. “That was before all of this!” She closed her eyes, trying to calm down. “ I checked with Frostfeather, and I am definitely not pregnant.” She turned away, a thousand emotions running through her. “And it’s a good thing too.” Her voice broke. “I didn’t ask for any of this!” She narrowed her eyes sadly. “And before you said that I chose this, remember that we were both naive apprentices who met to improve our BATTLE moves. Not fall in love!” Her shoulders hunched despairingly. “I don’t want to love you. But I do.”

"Get away from me," Poppysplash's voice was cold and bleak. Almost...dead sounding. Inside she wanted to scream and thrash, wailing all the way to Starpelt, but if she wanted to protect him, she had to do this. "I-I can't keep-" she broke off. This was just so much. She wanted to be with him. And as scary as it sounded, she wanted to be with him forever. But that couldn't happen. "I can't do this," she meowed stiffly, before closing her eyes briefly. She reached over the border to touvh his nose for a heartbeat. The heartbeat echoed in her mind, her whole body. She broke off her connection to him. Not just physically, but she severed the bond they had both shared. She trudged back through the snow, not bothering to look back at her beloved. It hurt too much.

Littlepaw was sniffing around near the border. She wished she could cross it, even for a little while, so she could explore over there. With tensions between clans rising, she knew she probably shouldn't. She wanted to know all that was out there.

"Littlepaaaaw you're far too close to the border. There's no way I'm going that close! If you want to get your mouse brain in trouble then count me out!" Firpaw complained a couple of foxlengths behind her.

Littlepaw snorted as she looked back at her brother. "Then go! Go back to camp with your little tail between you legs," she told him, rolling her eyes. Firpaw thought for a moment before he seemed to comply with what she said, turning away to head back to camp.

"Whos there?" Littlepaw called out after seeing the branch. She smelled a SunClan cats scent on the air, but she didn't react much to that. Her blue-green eyes scanned the forest ahead of her.

Firpaw had long since bounded away, not wanting to get involved.

"It's not a problem," Littlepaw replied, puffing her chest out a little in an effort to look bigger than she was. "What are you doing so close to the border?" She questioned, looking her up and down like she was inspecting her. She continued to eye her until she was spooked when another similarly small cat jumped out from the bushes behind the shecat, her tail fluffing up this time.

It was Berrypaw. "Kindlepaw! Wh-what's going on?" He asked her, tilting his head at the MoonClan apprentice opposite the border.

"I believe you Kindlepaw," Berrypaw assured her turning to look at the other apprentice. "Who's she?"

"I'm Littlepaw of MoonClan," Littlepaw meowed, chest still puffed out, though her tail had gone back to normal. "And you are...?" she questioned, looking at the two of them.

Lol idk why I made Littlepaw say she's from MoonClan like duh haha)

"Im Berrypaw," He told Littlepaw, watching her curiously.

"Exploring," Littlepaw stated simply, sitting down practically on the border. "I wanted to go further but I don't think any patrols would be happy to see me," she shrugged, swiping a paw over her ear after she had licked it.

"Well... You haven't done anything to me yet," Littlepaw pointed out with a flick of her tail. "Hunting so close to the border isn't a very smart move, but I'm no tattletail," she replied simply. "Have you ever tried hunting in the trees? It's quite fun as long as you're careful," she smiled, not really caring that they were from a different clan. She never understood why they couldn't have friends in other clans, probably because she hadn't been in a true battle yet.

"Sounds fun!" Berrypaw replied, thinking about how exciting it must be to hunt so far above the ground.

"The birds don't expect it! Well they don't as long as you're quiet enough," Littlepaw told them. "I can show you if you want," she offered.

"Okay!" Littlepaw agreed, only taking a couple of pawsteps over the border to get to a tree to climb up. "Come on! I'll show you! Just be careful," she told them again, getting up to one of the first big branches.

Berrypaw nodded, first to follow Littlepaw up the tree. His paws were small, but his claws were good at keeping a grip on the bark.

"As long as you keep quiet and can smell the scent of prey.." Littlepaw began, sniffing the air. She delicately jumped into a nearby tree with a sturdy branch. She crouched down, hoping she would be able to catch the squirrel she smelled so she didn't look silly. After a couple heartbeats, she pounced and a terrified squeak was swiftly cut off with a bite to its neck. "You'll catch something!" she finished, proudly holding a squirrel by the tail as she made her way back to the first tree.

Littlepaw cheered as Kindlepaw made her first attempt and caught a bird. She wasn't sure why she was so excited for the shecat she just met. "Awesome! Most apprentices don't catch anything on the first try!" She smiled, giving a little jump on her own branch.

Berrypaw gave it a try too. He jumped to another nearby tree and tried to stalk a finch. "Mouse dung!" He growled as the feathers of the bird grazed his outstretched claws as it took off and flew out of reach.

"That's alright Berrypaw, even I didn't catch anything on my first go," Littlepaw called to him.
