In the shoutbox we were talking advertisement and such a few days ago, and one thing that came up was "the art forum could be more active if boards were merged into one". I have to say I agree, and it sounds possible- the subboards should all be merged into one board, meaning all requests/comics/shops/galleries/ect should all just be on "The Art Forum". The only thing I think that could be separate - perhaps on it's own board entirely, or in a sub-board- is bannershops and layout testing, but only because on the old forums these would get complaints. This is just a suggestion but I would like to see other's views.  Thank you for considering it. |

I think that'd be a good idea; the Art Forum may receive more traffic if it's more put together and not divided. With that way it is now, not everyone views certain subboards.
In my opinion, I'd get rid of layout testing & move the threads to Drafts because that's normally what people use them from. Once someone completes the draft for their layout shop, mods can easily move it out.

Maybe a petition? I could edit this and list anyone who approves? I guess I'd have to ask around though. I wasn't the original person to suggest it but I forget who it was, someone I was chatting with in the shoutbox.

@ - I like this idea, because sections of the art forum don't see any traffic versus others, meaning threads just die. I do think that shops and requests should be separate though. Also, will any of the threads will be lost? Because if they are, I'll need a heads-up so I don't lose my threads (or if a mod is willing to move them to drafts for me)

The contests board isn't really necessary because there aren't many contests to begin with, and it's not like they don't belong in a visual art/graphics forum. And I second the idea to delete Layout Planning board. We might want to keep Requests board separate though. |
